B&B Torrente Antico in Trani

Wonderful B&B in the Centre of Trani (5min from the port) with very warm and friendly hosts and a beautiful terrace on the rooftop to spend some time.
Potential to improve is the stability of the WiFi.

Breakfast at the chocolate shop was delicious... we're leaving absolutely in love with Trani. It's been a real discovery for us. Plus, I'm taking home a very special gift from Silvia.

Very satisfied with our short stay in Trani. Sylvia and Alessandro take great care of their guests. Very clean and well-equipped room and bathroom in a beautiful, renovated old building. Very quiet. You couldn't find a better location for walking around the city and the port, which is 5 minutes away. The plus: secure parking for 7 euros a few streets from the building.

Sylvia is an amazing hostess and her small boutique B&B is marvelous. She is very proud of the place and of her town and after a few days stay one can understand why. She can provide a lockup parking about 10 minutes walk from the B&B. Best to meet her either there else in the open square a block from the property as it is in a restricted zone where tourist cars cannot enter. The property has 3 guest rooms ( one on the same floor as Sylvia's home and two up a fight of stairs.) The rooms are small but fine. The wifi and aircon are both good. The small bathroom is fine too. There is a nice terrace next to the two upstairs rooms. A great benefit of the place is its location which is a 3 minute walk from the port area which is very lively. The old town itself is full of alleys where you can wonder for a few hours readily, and come across many small shops, bars and restaurants. About 600 meters from the B&B is a Lido with good quality umbrellas and sunbeds and the water is ok ( not as clear as more south like Monopoli area). Sylvia has an arrangement with the cafe downstairs where you can get breakfast. We had Italian cakes, coffee and orange juice which was fine given we were having lunches and dinners too. If you want to experience the old town and have a lovely clean place with an excellent hostess who will give you good restaurant tips, and get all this fir a good price then don't wait, book.

It's a lovely place to visit. First of all, the place is quite incredible. At least a few hundred years old tenement house with very high ceilings and nice finishings, located in the old town of Trani. You're very close to the port and all attractions as well as restaurants and shops from here. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's great to have chat with them and they will gladly recommend the best places to visit and restaurants to try. The apartment itself is quite big, in good style and very comfy. The bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom (with a shower) has all the equpiment and amenities you need. The balcony is a nice addition. There is a well functioning A/C, too. Everyday we received fresh towels (although we didn't even ask for this), the bed was made and floor cleaned. In the small cafe just opposite our building you get your breakfasts (Italian style). It was a great experience for us to be guests at this place. Trani is a nice, small town, not spoiled by massive tourism and the mojority of the people you meet here, are friendly Italians. You can feel the pleasant lifestyle of people living here. Also, the train ststion let's you conveniently visit many towns and cities, too (Barletta, Bari, Monopoli, or even Rome if you're up for a longer trip). I strongly recommend visiting Trani and staying at B&B Torrente Antico.
A word of advice to those who are not used to the Italian course of the day - the breakfast will be very light (like a croissant and a coffee light) and most of the restaurants open up at 20:00. So make sure you will get some food on your own until the evening (or find one of the few open places) if you are more used to heavy breakfasts/big dinners at 13:00... Apart from that - it's a beautiful Dolce Vita in here.
