Wow, I was helped to choose (the raw shellfish appetiser was out of this world) followed by seafood carbonara. I nearly cried it was so good. Staff were really helpful and I was given a very warm welcome as a solo diner. I will definitely return and recommend to friends. So many more dishes I would love to try. I arrived early without a reservation and was very lucky. The place soon filled up for a good reason.

This is a cute restaurant in the heart of Barletta. It is famous for cooking fish but as I do not eat fish I did order the meat version of everything and I was not disappointed.
The cured meat with vegetables and the terrina with caciocavallo were amazing.
As a main dish I had cacio e pepe which was good but nothing special.
Atmosphere and decor are very nice. The service is a bit rushed.
Overall I would recommend it.

This cozy 3-room B&B is located at 5 minutes walking distance from the historic center of Barletta, a harbour town with plenty of sandy beaches at 10 minutes walking. Although Barletta has over 94.000 inhabitants, the city is not overcrowded with tourists, by far. We found plenty of "lidos" either for a cappuccino in the morning, to relax or a more trendy lido for a cocktail. The host of Al Vecchio Borgo goes above and beyond. The room was cleaned on a daily basis, the typical Italian breakfast was very fresh and is served in the common area in turns if all 3 rooms are occupied. We had an amazing time with as highlight the hospitality of Maria! Grazie mille!

Great place to experience an amazing range of Italian food. Raw fish, pasta and grilled fresh fish. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious.
