English and Chinese speaking staff. They lent us an umbrella on a rainy day, that was really nice! The location was great, about 5 min walking distance to the train station Venice Mestre, and the hotel was near a lot of Asian restaurants. The room had most basic necessities, we only needed to bring toothbrush and toothpaste. The room’s walls were a bit on the thin side, but luckily it wasn’t loud outside and our neighbours were pretty quiet so we could rest well.

This hotel near Venezia Mestre station (5-6 min walk) is a fantastic find. The rooms are super clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and strong heating. The staff are friendly and provide free luggage storage. While the design is basic, the thoughtful amenities (the shower room has a handy chair for your clothes, and single-use cups are provided) make it very practical. Don't miss the Chinese food on the street behind it—'Panda Fly' comes highly recommended!

Decided to stay out of central Venice and booked 3 nights in mestra, short walk to train & bus station, very cheap & very regular on train & 15 mins later walking out of Venice station to side on Grand canal. Hotel Roberta in mestra was clean tidy staff very helpful, continental breakfast was excellent, staff on hand if you needed to know or wanted anything. Other cafes & restaurants in the area if you want to eat locally rather than in Venice, A very enjoyable stay.

Excellent location and excellent service. Would stay here again. We stayed for two days while in Venice and then for a third night on our way back after hiking the Dolomites. Luggage storage for our extra things and the front desk pre arranged a 2 am taxi for us to the airport. She knew we would need it and took care of us before needing to ask. ❤️

The positives were large double rooms with good aircon and the hotel is walking distance to the train station and restaurants.
The rooms are not entirely sound proof so you can hear your neighbours and the night we stayed the street outside was busy and noisy with people in the early hours of the morning yelling. The showers are small with limited hot water and the heat isn't hot.
