A fantastic, and slightly offbeat, little B&B. Our room/studio was tastefully decorated, had what we needed, and very comfortable. The owner/host Elisabetta was great as well. She put up with us arriving outside of our agreed upon arrival window, gave us the nickel tour, and offered up some local restaurant recommendations. (By the way, Arke restaurant is amazing.) The room had a good shower and bathroom setup, a useable kitchen (we made our own breakfasts), and air conditioning.

Came last year, I had to clean the bathroom completely, there were clearly marked traces of previous tenants.
Presence of a surveillance camera in the living room not notified by the landlady.
The bathtub on the first floor, the famous bubble mode does not work and makes a terrifying noise.
The pellets blow if 4 lights are on at the same time.
Cool for the location it's already that, but without me for the next one.

My wife and I were guests of Mrs. Elisabetta, at Casa Isotta, Quartu Sant'Elena, Cagliari for a week in July 2021. The environment is nice, quiet, in a historic and fascinating neighborhood, the people are kind and friendly, Elisabetta is generous with advice and very kind and professional in receiving and looking after guests. The house we use is simple and youthful. The functional kitchen, the completely new refrigerator, the internal parking that is always available, the cloister with a cool and relaxing garden.
The only drawback we found is the very small bedroom on the mezzanine floor, with the double bed stuck in a corner (so one of the two has to jump into bed like a child), but in any case the discomfort is mitigated by the air conditioning . Another small drawback is the shower: I'm tiny, I'm only 1.65 tall (perhaps for the average Sardinian I'd be normal) but if you're 1.90 tall and weigh around 100kg, well, be careful how you move in the shower enclosures, because, soaping , with a simple nudge, you could break through the shower cubicle: it is very narrow!
If you like to cook, the kitchen is complete and the small but graceful "ortus conclusus" offers a fragrant basil that enhances all summer dishes with its scent. Flat screen TV (sound a bit lacking, but by now they're all like this), Microwave, Washing machine and WiFi coverage complete the "technological" equipment (the dishwasher would be missing, but for two pax it is not so necessary). A traditional Sardinian pastry shop, a large supermarket, a "fruit and vegetable" and a couple of excellent traditional restaurants are within walking distance from the house. The famous former salt pans, today one of the most prestigious avio-wildlife parks in the Mediterranean, especially famous for the presence of pink herons, are a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk away. And if you like to photograph them, Elisabetta Messina, a professional photographer, I am sure will be able to give you some enlightened suggestions!
Elisabetta is "obsessed" with security, so alarms, locks, closed circuit cameras will protect your stay.
Finally, the location is excellent for reaching, with a maximum of one hour by car, all the most beautiful beaches in the south of Sardinia, from Costa Rei - in the east - to Capo Spartivento - in the west, with generally very smooth roads.
In short, the small ones mentioned cannot even scratch one of the 5 stars that this residence deserves, in our opinion.

Wonderful stay in Casa Isotta for professional reason. The owner is very welcome, appartment was clean, spacious and a very good atmosphere. The outside is marvelous. In a brief a wonderful place to enjoy Cagliari
