Agriturismo Tenuta Mazzetta in Mesagne

Rooms are simple but nice. Each has a patio with 2 chairs and a small table which we used for several charcuterie dinners. Reception staff, housekeeping, and breakfast staff are friendly and helpful, especially Mary at the front desk and the young lady who makes excellent cappuccinos at breakfast. Online the pool is heavily promoted, however, it doesn't appear to have been functional for several years. Much of the landscape has not been taken care of as well as the surrounding olive orchard. During our stay two men worked painting. They splashed paint on everything, plants, rocks, doors, light fixtures, etc. Unfamiliar with prep, dropcloths, or even how to use a brush. Parking is easy in a gravel lot. Be aware that the driveway is a 1.5 km dirt road so your car will be dirty. We had an issue with the room fees and the lack of a functioning pool that was brought to the owners attention. She was unwilling to make things right. Upon returning home we received a bill that included an additional $250 for a baby cot. We neither required or received one. This issue is still unresolved. No WIFI, even though advertised. Location is remote but very quiet and restful.

The property was superb. Fab rooms, soooo big and very quirky. The room terraces were Huge and the pool was a very good size. Lovely sun loungers. Very very remote location so no traffic noise at all. Breakfast on an outside terrace and adequate.

Beautiful gardens, spacious room, pool still open in September
