B&B Casa Cimino - Monopoli - Puglia in Monopoli

My room was very clean and comfortable and a one minute walk to the center. Owners are so helpful with whatever you need regarding information, suggestions, etc. was given a free breakfast card to use at a local coffee shop, which was good. I enjoyed conversing with the workers there each morning. Definitely recommend this B&B.

Fantastic small B&B in the centre of old Monopoli. Wonderful friendly owners and staff. My wife and I have just returned from a 7 day stay at B&B Casa Cimino. First of all, excellent communication about the booking, and throughout the stay via WhatsApp by the owner's (Massimo) son Mirko. We were on the top floor. The room and ensuite were spotless. Shower was good, and the bed (king size) was firm but very comfortable. Toiletries provided. A safe is also provided. Room is serviced every 3 days, and towels changed regularly. Continental breakfast served in a cellar like room, nicely decorated and lit. The breakfast is served between 8:30 and 9:30. On offer are lovely and varied selection of pastries, sweet tarts, biscuits, focaccia, croissants.... that Massimo gets from a local bakery each morning, plus bread for toast, jams, soft cheese, plus fresh fruit, fruit juices, water, and a variety of coffees and teas. Also pots of natural yogurt, and what looked like cornflake cereal. In the breakfast area there is a large fridge in which a room allocated basket is provided to put your own drinks, and food in. There are also bottles of water, and other standard drinks .... you can purchase. If you cannot make the breakfast time then Massimo gives you a voucher to use at nearby cafe (Cafe Napoli) a short walk away for a drink and a croissant. However, on the day we were leaving to go back to the UK, and had to get an early train, Massimo insisted we could select a number of breakfast items from the morning before to put in the fridge, and he would be around at 7:30 to serve us hot drinks - a lovely touch. The B&B entrance and your room is key coded (you are provided these details in advance of your stay) - so no keys to remember to take out or more importantly potentially lose! The B&B is situated along a quiet street near easy walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and delis to satisfy all types of local and international food requirements and tastes. The harbour, and places of interest are again in easy walking distance. We used public transport to visit places in the Puglia area with the train station about a 15 min. flat walk from the B&B. We found the train service very good and very cheap compared to the UK. We visited Bari for the day, and also Lecce also for a day using the train and various organised coach trips from Polignano a Mare. to Ostuni, Locorotondo, on one day, and from Bari to Matera, and Alberobello on another day. There are plenty of coves and bays within up to a 30 mins walk as at maximum to have a rest. Alternatively, there is a roof terrace at the B&B to sit down and relax to take in the local sights and sounds of Monopoli. In summary a beautiful part of the world, and B&B Casa Cimino is a perfect place to stay at and use as a base to visit the region.

The host Massimo and Giovanni gave me a southern Italian experience at breakfast every morning with their inquisitive chats over cappuccino and breakfast ... While being attentive of your needs and comfort.... An authentic and enjoyable stay

Lovely place to base ourselves for 4 nights. They only have 4 rooms and the building dates back to 1600. Spotlessly clean, lovely traditional breakfast and run by a lovely family. It’s also in a great spot in Monopoli, easy to wander the gorgeous streets. Definitely recommend. Fabulous rooftop with amazing views where we enjoyed a few drinks.

Highly recommended. The staff were very friendly, making me feel welcome from the start. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant walk to the historic city center. My room was clean and comfortable, providing a great retreat after exploring. The breakfast was lovely, and the coffee amazing. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way!

The B&B is located conveniently in the heart of the old town. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none. We were located on the third floor which had a steep staircase, so not ideal for the elderly or very young children. Overall great place to base yourself in Monopoli.

Great location. Breakfast was disappointing no quality in the produce. The three owners stayed in the breakfast room speaking really loud. We decided to have breakfast out after the first morning. I feel with all the competition in Monopoli you need to serve good coffee and have a good selection for breakfast. Would have been nice to have a fridge in our room as we needed to walk down 4 flights of stairs to access the kitchen fridge. Unfortunately I didn’t find this information in the reviews or website. But we loved Monopoli and will return again.

Wonderful place in historic centre. It is old and rustic and you can feel the magnificent atmosphere of an ancient house. Nice rooms with rustic small corridors. Excellent staff provided a nice breakfast. The rooftop terrace is a good bonus with nice views. Location in centro storico is excellent.
