Hotel Tropical in Ostuni

My stay at Hotel Tropical near Ostuni was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. As a frequent traveler for both business and leisure globally, I have never encountered such antiquated and restrictive hotel policies.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by staff who felt the need to explain to me how a 3-star hotel operates, treating me like a child rather than a paying guest. This patronizing attitude was both unwelcome and unprofessional.

Furthermore, the hotel imposes limited opening times that made me feel as if I were back at my parents' house, not a paying guest in a hotel. The requirement to surrender my room key to the owner every time I left the premises felt intrusive and inconvenient.

To make matters worse, the hotel gates were shut promptly at midnight, preventing any late-night excursions or even a simple return to my room after a night out. This policy is completely unacceptable for any modern accommodation aiming to cater to the needs of diverse travelers.

Overall, my experience at Hotel Tropical was overshadowed by unnecessary rules, condescending treatment from staff, and policies that severely limit guest autonomy and convenience. For anyone accustomed to the flexibility and respect expected in contemporary hotels, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for accommodation near Ostuni.

Management should seriously reconsider their approach to customer service and update their policies to reflect the expectations of today's travelers.

Place at that disturbing, personal to which there are no adjectives to define them. For a slight delay of 5 minutes, the owner used tones towards my brother-in-law that were not suitable and unpleasant, for breakfast, which was part of our offer. Structure that can easily fall into the "nightmare hotel" program. Dirty rooms, bathroom which was unusable. I leave a star only for having made the best use of the air conditioner.

What about a booking for one night only but very uneducated, inaccessible rooms not very clean .. Undefined times for breakfast or for various outings ... The brother of the very rude owner not happy with our presence, breakfast was included in the price, but it wasn't done for a few minutes delay… Very rude, I wouldn't go back even if it was the last place in the world !!
