Great apartment - scary approach road
The plus side was that our apartment was very spacious and had a marvellous view of old Ostuni. The room was adjacent to the hotel pool which would be great in warm weather. However it has to be said that the 'private road' that leads up to the apartments is a rather hazardous rough track, very steep and windy - what you do if you meet another car is beyond me. We were fortunate that we were the only vehicle in the apartments so parking was fine but would be very testing if there were three or four cars using parking area. The hotel did say they had alternative parking available but this would be a long walk from the partment.

Stayed here on a cycling holiday while visiting Ostuni. It's very well placed for visiting the historical parts of the city. Modern hotel that looks as if it was recently refurbished. The restaurant has a lovely view out to the sea. The staff were helpful. It also has a beautiful spa which is well worth a visit.

Lovely clean and spacious apartment with good facilities. LOTS of steps (140+) from the main hotel up to the apartments so not suitable for anyone with small children or mobility issues. Kept us fit!
Walkable distance to old town and lots of restaurants and cafés but 20min walk to a supermarket so perhaps more suited to someone with a car. Lovely stay, friendly helpful staff. Great pool. Would recommend.

The villa/apartment was sited on the hill behind the main hotel. The views over Ostini were fantastic.
We had some problems with flight connections and lost baggage but the the staff at the hotel were amazing and really helpful (Theresa, Maria , Gabriella, Paola and the gentlemen on reception. whose names I cant remember !!)
The restaurant was excellent as was the selection at the breakfast buffet.
The 150 steps between the hotel and villas was quite challenging in 30 degrees + !!
The pool , because it is built into the side of the hill/mountain can be quite chilly even in hot weather.Our villa was at the very top above the hotel and because there is a constant breeze, quite strong at times it made the exposed terrace unusable (suggest some kind of windbreak would be good)
Overall, we had a good time , loved the area and would like to thank all the staff for the friendly and professional way they made our stay enjoyable.

Amazing time at the hotel. Friendly and caring staff. Visited the Lacus Day Spa twice, first experience was the 80 min Spa Bath, and then a de-stress massage for myself and Essential Body Regime for mum. Silvanna and Sara were incredible. Highly recommend.

The Hotel has perfect location- outside the city, but 10 min walk to the historic center. It has huge parking across busy street. The Hotel is super clean, breakfast is good, it has a bar and restaurant. Not good: only one slow elevator and with bunch of senior guests and kids you take stairs to avoid long wait during morning hours. Our room was facing small but noisy street, so no open windows at night. Also, little balcony sitting area was covered with bird's mess, it was never cleaned during our 4 nights stay. Air-conditioner was stuck at 28C. Ask receptionist to adjust it. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner , only one kind of washing liquid for everything. it is a 3 star hotel, not 4 stars.
Tips: ask if rooms facing backyard are quiet, order low level floor if you can not use stairs, ask the reception desk to adjust room temperature, ask receptionist do not clean your room because red sign "do not enter" is ignored by cleaning stuff .

I just came back from Italy and Hotel Monte Sarago was my favorite. Perfect location, a few minutes walk to the historic area and overlooking the "citta bianca". Excellent service, the staff was friendly and helpful. Congratulations to all specially to Sonia in charged of the fabulous breakfast buffet.

Fabulous hotel in Ostuni which is very central to many of the Puglia sites and in a great accessible location. The service is impeccable. Kudos to Grazziano who made sure to satisfy all our special requests. Gabriel and Paula provided a warm welcome and professional service. The hotel parking is right across the street which is a major advantage to this hotel. The breakfast is superb. Shout out to lovely Antionette who provided excellent service. The rooftop restaurant looks amazing even though we didn’t eat there. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the historic center and is about 6 miles from the main road, which passes through the most beautiful olive groves ever seen.

This amazing hotel has a great location over looking the white city of ostuni. We had a lovely experience and stay in this outstanding place. Everything about it was perfect: stuff, service, location, rooms, breakfast and lovey rooftop restaurant for a fine cuisine, view and comfort.
