Hotel Profumo di Mare in Otranto

Definitely worth 4-5 stars. Great location looking over the harbour and beach. Make sure you get a sea view room (room 1 is a larger suite). Everything is clean and comfortable. Easy access to beach. Restaurant beside hotel is above average tourist fare, and gets a nice breeze when everywhere else is hot. Only fault is that the WiFi is weak.

Right in front of the main beach of Otranto, in between the old town/eastern peninsula and lighthouse/western peninsula. I came during low season and thoroughly enjoyed. The owner was kind enough to bring me to/from the train station and put up with me changing my mind a million times about my plans (but also kind not my fault). Comfortable rooms, great location, sunset to die for from bed, fell asleep with the windows open and listening to the sound of the waves.

Restaurant: The food is exquisite and very tasty. Here you can order traditional Pugliese food and the seafood is so fresh as if just picked out of the sea. The service is absolutely excellent. The waiters are extremely friendly and definitely know how to do their job. Quality-price relationship is a plus. Highly recommended.

Hotel: Very clean. Rooms recently renovated, are very spacious and have all the amenities needed. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious too. The staff is ultra-friendly. The hotel is located in a perfect location by the sea and just a few metres away from the historical centre if the charming and lively Otranto. Definitely will return here and definitely will stay in this hotel again. Breakfast is also good. Highly recommended. I fell in love with the hospitality and friendliness of all those who work here.

Clean. Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Mine did not have sea view but then I had budget priced room too. Only minor complaint I can think of is size of TV, but very very minor complaint.
