Great location, just go down a flight of steps and you are in the center. We arrived by motorbike and they offered us their private parking for free. Three nights in Matera and we enjoyed staying at Residence del Casalnuovo. It was private (even private terrace second entrance), clean, spacious and practical. The view at breakfast was breathtaking over the Sassi and the Rock Church. The host was welcoming and kind.

Fantastic stay in beautiful Matera A little tricky to locate as so many nooks & crannies in beautiful Matera, but once we found it & got in it was wonderful. The room is beautifully clean & well furnished & we slept so well. Claudia was a wonderful hostess at breakfast and so friendly. Highly recommended.

We booked the Grotta Room for only 1 night. It was spectacular. Check-in was smooth. I loved the location. It was a great value. Outdoor breakfast with a view was a highlight.

If you're looking for a place with a reasonable price for an overnight stay, this is the right place. Kind people work here, and the atmosphere isn't too bad. The breakfast isn't great, but it's better than nothing.

We stayed just one night. The lady is very kind and offers a truly pleasant welcome. The property is recently built or renovated. The air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and cleanliness are excellent. They also help arrange tour guides and places to dine. Convenient and secure on-site parking. I hope to return!

Bed & Breakfast located in a quiet location yet a 5-minute drive from the center of Matera. We were greeted with kindness, helpfulness, and cleanliness. The room was well-maintained and spacious. The bathroom was small but functional. Italian breakfast included a choice of coffee, milk, tea, fruit juices, and yogurt, as well as pastries and toast with jam, butter, and Nutella.

Quiet area, in the forest, at the hill with a beautiful view (from the parking), going by car it is close to the city center and state road. Room was clean, beds were OK for us, good (very quiet!), new air-conditioning. There is a large parking area.

Normal All in all, pretty good, except for the heat. The air conditioning didn't cool the entire room, and it was scorching hot. There was mold in the bathroom. The only positive note was the owner, who gave us excellent tips for visiting Matera. The breakfast was good.

I love this hotel! Great location, great service. The staff are super nice. The room was clean and can have the taxi infront of the lobby so that you doesn’t need to carry your luggage up and down stairs.
