Clean room, nice hotel. Staff was very nice even when very busy. All in all a good stay. Secure parking. Nothing to look at or walk to around here though.
Beautiful hotel. Room is spacious and the cleanest amongst the 4 hotels of similar level we stayed during this trip. Dinner at the hotel was excellent, the beef entree looked unimpressive but surprisingly it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection served piping hot. Breakfast could be better with more varieties. The only issue is if you want to exchange your towel the answer is a rude “no” which...
Definitely worth the visit. Great property with fabulous amenities. Incredible gym. Beautiful large oool. Comfy bed. Just abit noisy cause of thin walls but not that bad. Great value.
New and well equipped hotel, with spa, breakfast and lot of facility Good parking But all are extra-charge Room is nice, cozy and clean but so hot. Couldn’t control the heath from room and iI was awaken in the middle of night because of to much heat I book the hotel especial for spa but Suprise .., is with extra charge. Was not mentioned on booking Breakfast is good but coffee is not available...
Modern hotel. But without **** treatment. The staff had the cordiality and friendliness of the barracks from ex communist states. We really didn't feel welcome... No smile or friendly word at breakfast. We were here in autumn so the outdoor pool was closed. We had to pay 30 euros for the indoor pool and wellness (90 min), which we didn't. The first time we experienced this. NOT RECOMMENDED if you want...
We took 17 of our customers on a Southern Italy trip. We stayed in four hotels through out our trip, this was our least favorite. Here are dome of the reasons why: -Place looked a little disheveled. We believe the building and grounds were under construction and the hotel did the best they could to hide it. -The bar tender our first night had a limited menu on the drinks he could create. He told...

Cozy bed& breakfast, you will be staying in someone’s house, they provide nice home cooked breakfast.
A caring host A little difficult to find. However, everything else is great! Close to the historic center. A helpful and attentive host. Spacious and very clean room, as was the bathroom. Varied breakfast. Top-notch!
Excellent location (we were 5, including three boys). Strategic for visiting Matera on foot, leaving the car in the courtyard. Mimmo was very kind in welcoming and advising us. Super abundant breakfast. Rooms equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Thanks for everything Mimmo, we really hope to return.
B&B located inside Mr. Giordano. Clean and comfortable environment. Ideal for a one night stop as we did for visiting the city of Matera (absolutely enchanting). Recommended!!

The location is good, and the rooms are spacious enough. However, the room's decor is a bit dark, making it feel rather gloomy. The breakfast service is somewhat inferior to that of a 5-star hotel, but everything else is quite good.
This stay was absolutely fantastic, deserving a full five-star review! First of all, the hotel's facilities were a pleasant surprise. The rooms were incredibly spacious, the largest standard rooms we've seen during our European trip, unlike some cramped rooms in European hotels. All the facilities were new and spotlessly clean, making for a very comfortable and reassuring stay. We booked three rooms...
Very close to attractions, within walking distance. Convenient parking. Delicious breakfast.
The location of the facility is good, but the service and breakfast are a mess.
The room is very large, the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast is fresh and rich, the hotel service staff is polite and thoughtful, it is very close to important attractions, and the location is excellent
An excellent hotel near the old town. Got a free upgrade. Super clean and big room. The service is spectacular!

Location is great. Easy walking distance to major attractions. Staff are very nice and helpful. Dinner is so delicious. Breakfast is also fine. The cave room is a unique experience.
Interesting and beautiful hotel. Good breakfast. Location is very good for walking, sightseeing.
Living inside the cave feeling so wonderful, but car cannot go in
This was an amazing place to stay in the heart of the Sassi. The breakfast was very nice with many options and the dinner we had there was equally good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The shower was the nicest we had on our two week trip. Appreciated a safe available in the room.
We opted for the cave room! The room is very well appointed. It features a French window and small windows in the bathroom. The pool is amazing. We had a car, which we parked without any issues via Lucana.
Steer clear of the smallest room type – it has no windows and was quite musty. Upgrading to a suite, however, was a complete game-changer! The service was exceptional; they catered to our every need. The hotel's location is unbeatable.

This hotel is excellent! The location is absolutely stunning.
This is probably the best hotel in Matera. Located right next to the cathedral, the square in front of the hotel offers panoramic views of Matera's Old Town. The hotel is a converted protected building, with elegant design, spacious rooms, and beautiful scenery. The hotel's restaurant, Le Bubbole, is also excellent and deserves a five-star recommendation.
This was our second time staying at this hotel. We specifically came to Mateta for one night from the Salerno area to enjoy the spa and dinner. As always it did not disappoint! The junior suite room was spectacular. The spa was amazing. The a massages were amazing. The restaurant they recommended for dinner was delicious. The staff is great. Left looking forward to our next trip back! See you soon...
Hotel Palazzo Gattini was an amazing experience. My wife, son, and I spent four days at the hotel and had a phenomenal stay from the very beginning. I am writing this from the bed in our room. I would say this is probably one of the best hotels in Matera. The view from the rooftop terrace is spectacular. The spa is spectacular. We had a great stay, all the staff were very polite and attentive, answered all our questions about the area and also very informative about the food and wines they were serving, we were very pleasantly with the service the location and the condition of the hotel, unfortunately we were not there long enough to sample the spa but did get a tour from the young lady at the spas reception who explained...

Lovely cosy big bed. Big room and free water on first day which was nice. Breakfast was ok but could have been better such as actual bacon and actual sausages would have been nice. Staff were very friendly. Location was good. Pleasant stay.
Great hotel, the staff were absolutely fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and genuinely happy to help and make you feel a valued guest, absolutely credit to the hotel. Fantastic location, spotlessly clean and good value- would highly recommend.
Love the vibes of this modern boutique hotel. Everything is new/ modern and clean. Convenient location very near Duomo. Great Panoramic Views from roof top restaurant. Receptionists and Service staff are very helpful.
Staff were very helpful. Room was great.
location is both terrible and beautifully. to reach the hotel you have to follow a very slippery pad with lots of stairs same going to a bar outside or going anywhere you better wear sport shoes 🥵 Main receptionist very nice and helpful 👍
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The whole of Matera is beautiful. This was a last-minute booking and I’m so happy I did. The rooms are gorgeous. They’re built into the caves. Hotel is well located a short walking distance from the sassi. Rooms are comfortable but require refreshments. Staff is very friendly and customer oriented. Breakfast is average, many sweet treats, missing good quality bread, olives, cheese etc. No problem with finding free street parking around the hotel.
The property is not properly finished. Although the staff were very helpful & bedrooms were good, it wasn't within walking distance of any restaurants as the surrounding area is undeveloped. However, there were buses into the centre about 7 or 8 minutes walk.
Chose this hotel because it is close to the bus stop where we took a bus out of Matera. Hence we had to walk about 20 minutes to reach Matera square. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. We had all meals there and managed to cover all viewpoints planned.
Staff were very friendly and was easy to access most of the places by foot.
Overall, the stay went well, although the mattress wasn't the best and, more importantly, there were no extra pillows. This resulted in back pain and a stiff neck.
Hotel is well located a short walking distance from the sassi as well as downtown. Rooms are comfortable although the bathroom is small and tightly packed. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a Matera cave style. Breakfast was included in the room rate, making it excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
The Stone City lives up to its name, and the cave dwellings offer a rustic charm. Vehicles must be parked in the new town's parking lot, and then a shuttle bus will take you up the mountain.
Paolo the receptionist is the best. Very easy to communicate, and he knows well the sassi area. Cleanliness and big room thats what we need
I've almost forgotten, it should be in Matura, a nice city. The hotel was good except for the price-performance ratio; the bathroom was huge, but the air conditioning was a bit insufficient. The bathroom and room were on different levels, probably due to the terrain.
My flight was delayed and my check-in time was in the middle of the night, but they waited for me. Of course, I had contacted them on the way there to let them know that I would be delayed. They were also very friendly and even carried my luggage for me. Thank you very much.
The best hotel I have visit for this trip. All staffs are friendly and helpful. Easiest way to reach hotel is to go to Matera Centrale via ferrovie train from Bari Centrale. Than a bus near the train station will fetch you the doorstep. Very efficient location.

I've just completed three nights at this wonderful hotel. It is in the very best location with spectacular views and amazing staff. Especially Fania on reception. I really could stay here for weeks very happily. Walk out of the hotel entrance and you are immediately in the middle of everything you could want.
The place is centrally located and accessible to all different tourists areas. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
The location is great and the facilities are clean and great. The only downside was that the heater was broken, making it difficult to sleep.
The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows. These rooms are very nice and have a good spacious shower. Some rooms are not in the check-in building and so a walk down some stone steps may be required.

Absolutely beautiful. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Grounds are such a lovely setting. Pool is very classy and fantastic views. Restaurant food was amazing. Breakfast a wide choice of sweet or savoury. Room was huge, room 2. Room was cleaned thoroughly every day.
Lovely masseria with a beautiful pool, the breakfast and lunch were delicious. Very comfortable stay.
Beautiful masseria, nearby Matera. The drawback of the central location is that the place feels more touristy rather than authentic, when compared to other masseria's. The room was good, however it couldn't get chill inside, even with the AC on Power the whole night. The breakfast was ok, choices were limited, fruit juice was not freshly made.
