Hotel Sacco in Metaponto

We just left this hotel even though I would have left the day of arrival…and I didn’t do it just because I was a guest… The hotel appears to be stuck in the 80s, but in every sense…especially in terms of maintenance… As the photos show, cleaning is almost non-existent!!! As soon as we entered the room we could smell a terrible stench coming from the bathroom, dirt on the floor, hair everywhere, animal excrement on the inside of the windowsill, toilet paper already opened, dust everywhere and a dirty toilet. I immediately called the manager who said: very strange, go to the beach without worrying and when you return you will find a very clean room!!! In the meantime a cleaning lady arrived and in an arrogant tone told me: look, it’s not dirty at all, it’s vintage!!! I don't think a toilet encrusted with poop is vintage... Too bad that even after the pseudo cleaning the situation hasn't changed... We simply found a spray bottle with muriatic acid left on the floor, only the hair in the sink and bathtub was removed, and the excrement on the internal windowsill simply thrown on the floor and remained there for the entire stay (ours and those of the next unfortunate ones I assume). During the stay I heard several people complain to the owner who promptly answered everyone in the same way: it's never happened before! Not to mention the restaurant... dirty tablecloths on the tables and above all the prices... with non-existent quality! A truly very sad note... are the architectural barriers of the structure. In practice to reach the elevators you have to go up 3 steps and already as in my case having a stroller it is not at all easy let alone for a wheelchair… To go up to the floors there are 2 elevators but one does not fit the stroller and in the other the access is millimetric. The only positive note: the strategic position near the sea for the rest completely rejected!!! NB I am not the type to easily leave negative reviews as you can see…
