Carla was fabulous. The property was excellent and she made our stay perfect. The room was everything we wanted from the region. The breakfast was incredible.

A beautiful place! We had an amazing sassi room with all the historic charm plus modern, comfortable amenities including a bathtub. Staff is amazing too, so helpful and friendly. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants, made the reservations and made sure we had a great experience there. Wonderful breakfast!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Conche Luxury Retreat, it’s gorgeous, truly unique, and Carla, the owner, is the best host imaginable. My mom celebrated her 70th birthday there, and Carla went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. The location couldn’t be more perfect, with everything within walking distance, including several amazing restaurants. The room was spectacular, and the breakfast was outstanding!

Right in the Sassi. The hotel communication to help us find our way there was superb, breakfast amazing and staying in a cave was an experience not to be missed. Magical Matera!

Beautiful room, comfortable bed. Carla was so helpful and patient; giving us wonderful tips for our stay in Matera. Breakfast was amazing and huge!

Make sure to pack running shoes. The surrounding area is very slick. Stone is very slippery. Be careful with your footing , to not slip.

Nice hotel. But if you have luggage’s it’s a nightmare to go there. The tenant is quite harassing concerning your hour of check in check out and time of breakfast. If you are vacationing be prepared to answer questions and be on schedule which is not very relaxing
