It is an honest hotel that respects the customer. It looses one star only because it isn't renovated, but it is clean, with all the basic amenities, spacious rooms (corner rooms are more spacious than the others), it has a great view to the see and Sicilian coast from the upper floors, decent breakfast, and very gentle personnel. It is right next to the Archeological Museum, in a very vivid area and the price is very reasonable. We really enjoyed staying there!

Wonderful Hotel.
It’s located in an ideal spot. It’s within walking distance from the ferry terminal and the main train station. It’s also situated at beginning of the main shopping avenue.
Daniele is a super host, together with Adam, Giulio, Giorgio and everyone around did their best to make our stay very enjoyable.

The hotel has a perfect location directly next to the museum as well as the best ice cream in town. The staff is extremely friendly and tries to help whenever they can. We can recommend this based on location and staff. Rooms are nothing special, but everything you need for a pleasant stay.

This place should close down. The so-called double room would have been too small for a single bed and other furniture. One of the bedside tables was actually a fridge (which was empty of course). Breakfast simply awful (no fresh fruit). Personnel uncooperative when we asked for an extra half-hour in the morning -- in spite of the fact that the place apparently had very few customers. As for helping with luggage, forget it. For very slightly more you can stay in the excellent Hotel Albanuova.

I have stayed in several excellent hotels in Italy in the past year or so; but Palace Masoanri really does score first prize with 12 out of 10.
They allowed early check-in and late check-out. I was offered a welcome drink. The staff were nothing short of amazing. They were so helpful with my enquiries. I was even upgraded to a 5th floor room with a balcony and views over the sea to Sicily.
The hotel is next to the wonderful museum with the Riace bronzes. It is close to the promenade and the Lido train station and just 10 mins walk from the ferry to Messina.
Very very highly Recommended !!

Excellent value for money. I wasn't expecting much for €20 but got a lovely room with balcony and the staff were very helpful with everything I needed. Will stay here every time.

A decent hotel. The location was perfect (great view over the sea and Sicily), but I think that some renovation and refurbishing could help. I won't complain over breakfast: we got a coupon for a local croissant around the corner. Above all, we found that it was generally worth the money. Not perfect, but safe for the wallet.
