Single room v small but everything else about the hotel was quite excellent

The hotel staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety.

It's a good 2o to 25 walking from many attractions but I would recommend it. Very good facilities.

While the street that the hotel entrance is located on is not the best- there are people loitering around it most hours of the day- the same can be said for a large areas of the city itself. People in Bologna are very friendly & I never felt unsafe, even walking around empty streets after sunset.
As for the hotel itself- staff were absolutely fantastic, including the bartender & the lady in charge of breakfast, but especially the young lady working the front desk. Friendly, plenty of recommendations & happy to satisfy every request I made.
My room was extremely clean & l very much got an intimate "small-hotel" vibe from my stay.
The mini-bar items & limited breakfast options are pricey, but overall I'll still rate my stay at 5 stars & would stay here again.

Comfortable hotel in quiet street. About 20minutes walk to main square and lots of bars and restaurants very nearby. Great breakfast spread and very friendly and helpful staff.
Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in hotel room as expected for a 4* hotel.

What an amazing hotel. The guest service was amazing. The room was small but perfect, clean, and beautiful.
Breakfast was so delicious, fresh, and so many delicious fresh baked yummies.

OK this hotel is situated in the depths of Bologna University area in a somewhat shady grafitti ridden street and yes there are some questionable dealing people outside so pls take this into consideration, but and a big BUT, the Hotel is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are amazing (everyone was so so helpful in whatever we asked for). The breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day (every day). Walking to central Bologna was about 15-20 mins thru interesting windy streets whereas the Central station is a long 40 min walk and certainly not only 15 mins ! which one reviewer mentioned on booking.com. It took us at least 20 mins in a taxi so think twice about walking if you have a train to catch on time. Trains are fairly cheap using Trainline, bar the high speed ones, but be aware that delays are common and the carraiges are old but however for us this added to charm of Italy. We visited Ravenna and Parma by train iso Florence which was very expensive for a day return for 2 although you can get there in just 30 mins. The food in all 3 visited areas was amazing and at reasonable cost as was the customary Gelato visit at the end of the day. Bologna is a great place and not so full of tourists as Venice and Milan, so if you do go there have a great time but please consider this Hotel, you will not be disappointed.
