Ostello Bello Hotel in Bologna

The hotel is located in a rather 'dodgy' part of the city as there are people sleeping and drinking in front of a hotel at all times of the day. The room we first had was rather small, even though it had plenty of room to put our clothes. It has a small TV and a mini fridge, which is always a plus. We had a double bed for two, which was big and the bed was comfy to sleep on, as were the pillows. The bathroom is small, but the biggest downside to it was the drainage in the shower cabin. Not only did the water not drain properly, but it even raised the hair left by the previous guests.

We requested to change a room and were told we would have one in the morning. The next day we were provided with a much bigger room where both the room and the bathroom were bigger. The bathroom is outside-facing, which is great and the drainage appears to work properly.

We were very happy with the service, but the original room needs to be looked into.

The hotel itself is rather run down, but it looks like there's an effort being made in renovating it. Given the original room and the location of the hotel, I am not sure we would be staying here again.

It's relatively cheap, but non-refundable and non-changeable. It involves sharing a room with multiple people, and the conditions are basic. Consider carefully before booking; you might want to stay one night first and then decide whether you want to continue.

Hotel was located close to the train, but in a seedy part of the city. Hotel was under heavy renovation during our stay which was loud during the day. The AC was very weak. Hosts were apologetic and tired to make the stay more comfortable.
