Hotel Etna in Riccione

Response to the owner: What makes you think I didn’t specify my problems? I clearly mentioned them in my review: “Small, bathroom had lots of problems.” The issues included mould and a leaking shower faucet.

However, I’ll let other guests decide for themselves based on our experience. We booked a room on your website at what was advertised as a seaside hotel, located at Viale Gabriele D'Annunzio, 165, 47838 Riccione RN, Italy. When we arrived at that address, we discovered that the property there is Hotel Nizza Riccione, not Hotel Etna Riccione.

The receptionist at Hotel Nizza explained that our reservation was actually for Hotel Etna Riccione, which is located two blocks away from the sea. They also mentioned that this confusion happens regularly—guests often arrive expecting a seaside hotel, only to find out later that the property is not located by the sea. According to them, this misleading practice is well known.

When we went to the reception of Hotel Etna Riccione to explain the situation, we were told bluntly that we could either take the room or leave. So please don’t claim that we didn’t communicate with you. We did explain the issue, but your receptionist simply shrugged and told us we could go elsewhere.

Calling me “not clever” just reinforces the impression that you’re an unprofessional owner who insults dissatisfied guests instead of addressing legitimate complaints. Considering all this, I have decided to update my review accordingly.

A disastrous stay in every way. The hotel presents itself as a renovated property, but the reality is quite different: an old, neglected, and unmaintained building. The rooms are dirty, with an unpleasant odor that makes it impossible to feel comfortable. The bathrooms are filthy, with showers encrusted with limescale.

The staff, instead of welcoming guests with courtesy, are indifferent, rude, and completely uninterested in any requests.
The breakfast is ridiculous: poor-quality products, virtually no choice, and food that doesn't even make you want to eat. Even the so-called "restaurant service" isn't a good thing, with interminable wait times and subpar dishes.

The value for money is scandalous: you pay as if it were a good hotel, but in reality, it's not worth it.

In short, one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had. There isn't a single positive aspect that can offset the overall disaster. A place to absolutely avoid: not recommended to anyone and to be immediately crossed off your list of options.
