Hotel Caselle in San Lazzaro di Savena

A horrifying experience. The manager was rude and almost never present at reception. You had to call because a sign always displayed said he was upstairs. The room had a few spiders, cockroaches on the wall, and the shower would occasionally turn on by itself, even at night. A hotel fit for a horror movie.

I'm posting a photo because I think it's right to raise awareness about the situation here. If we were to complain about trivial matters, I'd say that out of three sockets, only one worked, and the receptionist was quite rude, barely greeting guests, and if you asked two questions instead of one, she'd roll her eyes. It's no small thing, these things are noticeable and it's rude, but I mainly want to complain about the poor hygiene, and I think there should be at least some standard. I didn't ask for a 4-star hotel. I was comfortable for work, and I was happy with a place, as long as it was clean. At least the basics. But my photo speaks for itself. Other guys have found cockroaches there (but not me), I was luckier. Or maybe not?

30 or 40 years ago this hotel would have been fine. Noisy from the motorway and poor sound insulation between rooms. Included breakfast ultra basic. The biggest issue was the very unpleasant man at reception who was difficult and rude.

Need updating shower was broken sink block badly design walk in shower flooded the room when you had a shower. Owner hardly speak English and not welcoming for the price you pay is alright somewhere to sleep for a night. Towel like bed sheets. Cleaner was very helpful though.

Clean linen, for the rest... let's forget it.... too expensive for the nothing it offers... ...noisy, broken blackout curtains, smell of fried food throughout the hotel, bathroom with shower with floor drain slightly inclined and attached to the foot of the toilet, breakfast with leftovers from who knows what day, yogurt close to expiration.....

Hotel in good location but in terrible condition and very noisy (near ring road), minimal breakfast buffet, from the room you could even hear the neighbor breathing! Non-existent supply of toilet paper. I strongly advise against it....

Incompetent people, a nauseating smell already at the entrance, in the room there were three sockets but only two worked, very limited breakfast buffet and non-existent supply of toilet paper if it runs out...... I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO YOU! LEAVE ALL HOPE TO YOU WHO ENTER!
