Hotel Centrale Trieste in Trieste

The hotel itself was actually good. A very central location and large rooms. Most of the staff were quite nice, but one man constantly complained about us. He filled the plastic water bottles with tap water at dinner and only served the tasty breakfast items when certain guests were present. He always got very angry if we forgot our room key, and at some point the Wi-Fi stopped working. By the end of the two weeks we spent at the hotel, we were afraid of him. The breakfast is also way too expensive for what it is, but the brioche is very tasty. Dinner, on the other hand, wasn't so good. There were always evenings when I found it delicious. For a short stay, the hotel is definitely recommended, but the two weeks were really exhausting, especially for the amount of money you pay.

Bruto's hotel staff male is a bald grumpy you can't even breathe that he gets angry it seems like being in the gulag restaurant snuffbox food not good or expired or raw bruto's breakfast except the Nutella (strange) rooms ok even if there is no cleaning poor cleaning lady location good (one good thing at least)

We had room 203 from August 16th to 17th for €200. The entire room smelled smoky. We couldn't sleep. When we asked for the owner, he couldn't be reached. The room was disgusting. The air conditioning added to the smell. Blood from the previous person on the pillow. It was unbearable. The rooms are small, double bed 1.40m and the rooms are shabby. We do not recommend the accommodation. Hotel is not justified here either.
Lastly, I ask per Email if i can refund 60% of my payment but unfortunately. They don’t allowed. I honestly not recommend it

Well-positioned hotel, grumpy host, bad breakfast, no way to return

I have never been to a hotel with worse staff anywhere in the world. You will only interact with 1 staff member while you are here and he is lazy, incompetent, rude and ignorant - all to say I'm avoiding calling him a complete idiot. We waited at an empty desk 15 minutes to check in, a weak apology. He shows us to our rooms, walks into the bathroom, points at the toilet and says "toilet"???????? He talks to us like morons the entire time, obviously due to his own towering insecurity. Breakfast is a 1/5, microwaved croissants, cheese left out in the heat, pointless. One of ours rooms' air conditioning wasn't working so we went to get his help, obviously a 32 degrees room is unbearable, especially when the air conditioning claims to be on. He insists we are using it wrong. Doesn't offer to look, doesn't offer us another room in the 80% empty hotel. Doesn't offer anything but the statement that "no it is working" as if we hadn't been to the room 10 seconds ago. Lazy, incompetent, rude and ignorant. The location of the hotel is lovely, which is a nice way of saying its better to leave than stay.
