Albergo Alla Posta in Trieste

Clean rooms and so quaint! High ceilings and tall windows... I felt like I traveled back into 1920... Loved it!!!

Lovely staff and good breakfast. For us, it was a central location to everywhere we wanted to visit. We parked our car in a park house. Street parking was mainly for bikes.
Bus stop is close and makes it so easy to explore.

Solid 4-star stay with great potential, but needs a few updates

I spent one night at this charming independent hotel. Overall, it's a nice 4-star property with friendly and welcoming staff, though it does feel a bit worn in and like it hasn't seen a major update in a while. A little refreshing would easily take it to the next level.

Our top-floor room was nice but had a few quirks due to the sloped ceilings. The shower was very cramped, and the unique layout meant there was no mirror directly over the bathroom sink—instead, it was placed on a side wall, which wasn't very functional while using the sink.

Breakfast was just average. The coffee machine was out of order, though luckily the staff were able to make coffee drinks for us in the back. However, we ran into an odd issue when trying to sit down. We needed a table for four and were initially told it wasn't possible, even though we had just watched a party of four leave a table. It's never ideal to have to argue with staff for available seating, but they did eventually accommodate us.

A good, comfortable base for a quick stay, but keeping an eye out for those minor inconsistencies!

The hotel is very beautiful. The breakfast area has a fireplace, and there is an elevator.
The room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the street.
The staff were friendly and always welcoming.
The only downside was that the soundproofing was quite poor, but I think this is because the hotel is located in a historic building.

Great and professional staff! It really feels like what a hotel "should feel like"; well taken care of and everything you need.

Breakfast had a lot of items (sweet, savoury, and vegan options) and freshly made coffee.
Room was comfortable and the bed was great (despite me being very tall).

All around great place — the first time in many years I did not find any reason at all to be dissatisfied.

An absolutely brilliant hotel. Great location if you are travelling by train as well. All staff exceptional, warm and friendly. And for a three star the breakfast was amazing, the lady running the breakfast knew your coffee order on the second day and was exceptional. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel's location is truly very central. The dining room is simply breathtaking, and the breakfast is very good (typically Italian with cornetto and cappuccino). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was simple but nicely furnished. The pictures on the walls were also great.

Albergo alla Posta was much nicer than I thought it would be when I booked it. The rooms are modern, attractive, and clean. Very comfortable. Large bathroom.
Nice perks like extra toiletry set. Coffee, water, fruit, and pastries avaliable at all times in the reception. Centrally located - easy walk from station, shopping, and seaside.
Staff was professional and polite.

Nice historical hotel. Great location. Very good breakfast. Within walking distance of Trieste city Center plazas and Grand Canal.
