B&B Fanzago in Bergamo

The room was clean and the hotel was close to the train station. That's it, the positives end there. I absolutely did not appreciate the gruff - even rude - behavior of the owner. I did not like the camera in the common areas which shows his idea of ​​trust. I did not like that there were two entrance doors in the same row. The breakfast was completely unworthy of a B&B. For these services the price is, quite frankly, scandalous. Avoid at all costs.

Definitely NO GO.
The rules of check in are ridiculous - you need to pay 30 (!) EUR for check in the evening, what is totally normal for a hostel, hotel or b&b.
Moreover, the staff was really rude when contacting them

The host did not open the apartment although we had to tell her the exact time of arrival the day before. We waited from 10.30am to 7pm and no one ever opened the door, answered our calls or messages. We had to rebook a different place and pay twice for the night. We are still waiting for the refund (host does not respond to calls), will update the review once it happens. The host is a scammer and the place should be closed.

The hotels location is close to the main station and the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. However, the customer service is the worst one I've ever experienced in my life. We booked the room like two months in advance and supposed that we would arrive around 20h. However checkin is available starting from 15h and when you are on vacation plans change easily. We arrived around 16h at the apartment and rang several times on the door - no one answered. We wrote the owner several times via the booking chat - no one answered. We called the contact number several times - mobile phone was turned off. We wrote on WhatsApp - mobile phone was turned off. We waited one hour at the door at 36°c in plain summer and no one answers us. How is that possible ? When you know that you have guests coming over why do you turn off your phone ? After more than three hours waiting the owner called us back and said sorry and told us we have to arrive before 20h if not they will charge us 15€ extra. How is that possible ? Making people wait that much time during their vacation... Incredible
