Città Studi Suites - Top Collection in Milan

After reading all the reviews for this place, we were pretty excited to book it. Looked like an amazing Bnb with fair prices and nice services. However, the reality was very, very far from what they advertise. When arriving, there was noone waiting for us to check us in, we had to wait for someone to leave the building so we could enter when they left the door open. At the reception table, there was a mam who spoke 0 english. And by 0 i mean absolutely nothing, not a word. After a struggle, we managed to explain to him that we had a reservation (that was already paid for in Booking) and we needed to get to our room. He wanted to take a picture of my credit card, but I declined this since I already paid for the accomodation. Even if you didn't pay ahead, its not okay for someone to ask for a picture of your credit card!! This man then handed us the keys (no room number, no tags), proceeded to give us instruction in italian (which we didnt understand) and leave the place. He didn't even show us which room was ours, we got no instruction about breakfast or any other facilities at the property.
Our room had AC that wasnt working, there was a giant trail of ants going from the balcony door to the bed, and even though our booking said private bathroom, it was a shared one. The walls had cracks in them, there was a lot of dust on the furniture and overall the cleanlinesd of the room was horrific.
After a while, a cleaning lady showed up and explained to us that she has a copy of our room key and we are "free to leave any money and valuables" at the room while she cleans it. After explaining to her that we were taking our stuff with us, she got very upset and left without cleaning. I am not sure what happened to this place, but as it is right now, I would advise anyone to avoid it and soend money somwhere else!

Arrived and could not gain access to the property. Completely unable to contact the property by telephone or email. Avoid this place at all costs.
