No personalized human contact.

Everything is done digitally (but very well and efficiently).
We never received a response asking if parking spaces were available near the hotel. But there are, and it's very convenient.
The room is unremarkable but sufficient for our needs, which were to sleep.
Recommended for those seeking comfortable accommodation and a good base in Milan.

The room was spacious, but the shower was small. The facilities were a bit old, but it was clean and quiet. After flushing the toilet, you need to return the flush button to its original position, otherwise it will leak continuously. The electrical outlets are old-fashioned Italian three-prong outlets; my French plugs didn't fit, so you'll need to bring your own Italian plugs!

The accommodation at Residence Portello was not as expected. The room in reality looks much older as on the photos. The carpets on the walls are really to be removed. The kitchen corner to be refreshed and manteined. The water presure and flow is very low. The pillows shall be larger. It is bothering that the whole procces of booking, payment, check in/out is without any personal contact. Not even a single message from a person, all automated by an IT platform. Comparing what a guest get for the paid money, it is definitely overpriced.

The apartment is in a great location close to the metro, buses and the tram. It is a quiet area about 15 minutes from the city center. There were several problems though. We were traveling on dome hot days and we wanted to use the AC. We were informed that it was not the "season" for AC therefore they would not turn it on. The info on this apartment clearly stated that there was AC. Apparently it's only available at certain times so make sure to check. We were told to open the windows but I stated that I had terrible allergies and there were alot of mosquitos. Of course what happened is that I got really bad allergies and was bitten by mosquitos all over. Also, when you book a place that has a kitchen it is a reasonable expectation that it will have some utensils or plates or a pot or pan. There is absolutely nothing. So if you are planning to cook you would have to bring your own utensils.
