Centro Siloe Residence Hotel in Milan

Hotel Siloe has potential and clearly went through a recent renovation, but unfortunately the experience is still heavily affected by ongoing construction work. The building itself feels older, although many areas appear newly renovated and modernized.

The biggest issue during our stay was the noise. Starting around 8 AM every morning, the construction became impossible to ignore — drilling, metal cutting, heavy machinery, and constant loud sounds that made it very difficult to rest or enjoy the room peacefully. This is something that should absolutely be mentioned clearly during the booking process, because the level of noise and discomfort is significant.

On the positive side, the rooms were clean and housekeeping was done daily without issues. The receptionist during check-in was also very kind and helpful.

Breakfast was average overall — not terrible, but nothing memorable either. It gets the job done, but the atmosphere and food selection feel rather mediocre compared to what you might expect from the hotel presentation.

One thing that also felt confusing was the city tax. We booked through a travel agency, so it was not very clear whether the €10 per person per night city tax should have already been included or if it was expected to be paid separately at the hotel. The amount itself also feels quite high, although that may simply be related to Milan regulations rather than the hotel itself.

Overall, the cleanliness and staff were good, but the ongoing renovation noise seriously impacts the experience and should be communicated much more transparently to guests before arrival.

The room service was excellent but noise level was extremely high and it was impossible to sleep in the morning.
The breakfast was not very pleasant either. Considering that guests pay for breakfast, the buffet should be fully stocked at all times during breakfast hours, but unfortunately it was mostly empty.
There was only one type of cheese and one type of ham available

Everything was fine, except for the 10:00 AM check-out, which is a lot, especially for those who have an afternoon flight. My friends who stayed in a hotel 500 m away left their room at 12:00 PM, as it should be.
