We stayed for three days. On the first night, we couldn't sleep because of the nauseating smell coming from the sewer pipes! When we contacted reception in the morning, they said a room change was not possible and that they would send a technician to inspect it. The room was clean. It’s definitely a 2 star hotel, nice, but 2 star. Front staff was really nice. I was hoping to sit at the pool, but mgmt said it was closed. Hotel Flaminia was ideally located on the lakeside next to all the main attractions in Sirmione. Only two minutes walk to the ferry and castello and five to Terme di Sirmione (unmissable in my opinion). Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The location of this property was stunning with views and proximity to the lake. It is located at the edge of the peninsula, so you do have to walk 10 min to the town center. The rooms are modern, but the washroom was a bit outdated and the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast had lots of options and tasty. Polite and friendly staff, good facilities, free WiFi. We didn't even try the pool, it was partly in the shade, not many sunbeds and close to the main road (albeit separated by a wall). If you have a vehicle, you have to make sure to have extra time (at least 30 minutes) before they bring it to you, since they don´t have a parking lot on premises and apparently the parking lot is very far away (they should clearly state this fact at the time of booking). We arrived as a family of six (4 kids under 10) and the facilities were clean and as expected. We knew we would not be able to use the pool due to it being out of season. The reception staff led us to our room. The rooms we cleaned daily and the daily breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again perhaps when warmed. Very close to nice places to eat and not far from the tourist attractions.

Absolutely spectacular stay. Our room was so luxurious (303) with its jacuzzi tub and the view overlooking the lake. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay top notch (early check-in, help with our bags, provided some stationary we needed).
