Absolutely superb hotel Fabio and Elena are fantastic hosts and run this hotel to perfection the rooms are beautiful and the food is 5* nothing is too much trouble and always there to help you with anything, sirmione is a beautiful town with charming character too, we will be definitely back to the hotel catullo

Simply don’t have the words to express how grateful we are for the wonderful hospitality shown to us by Fabio and Elena during our 1 week stay from 4-11 October. Indeed, the same could be said for all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and any requests, even those ‘above and beyond’ were quickly granted with absolute courtesy and not a hint of fuss. They very kindly organised a day trip to Venice for us, providing train and cab bookings and also a horse riding experience at the stables where Elena’s daughter works. If you’re looking for a very traditional Italian hotel experience with unbelievable friendly, courteous and, indeed, faultless customer service, I can’t imagine you could do any better. And, for our part, we did our level best to keep the local vineyards in business. (I can highly recommend the Lugano, the local house white 😊) Thank you so very much for giving us such a wonderful holiday, we’ll definitely be back. (If you’ll have us? 😬)

Fabio and Elena , who own and run the Hotel Catullo, were great hosts during our recent stay. We were especially grateful for the bottled water left in our fridge each day, the air conditioning being on when we returned to our room, and the thoughtful complimentary extras. These included an evening boat trip around the peninsula and a wine tasting hour in the hotel. The location in the old town , with a lake front restaurant and bar, made a perfect setting. Thank you for a lovely week.

Booked with a dear friend who I have known since a child to celebrate our 60th birthdays. What a beautiful hotel. Excellent location, staff are the loviest and so welcoming. You can sit and enjoy the sunset while you have your evening meal and watch the world go by during the daytime. Only wish we had booked to stay longer. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

We are just back from this wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. This is a family run hotel, and you would know it. A big thank you to the owners, Elena and Fabio, for a truly fantastic week. And indeed all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Right in the centre of Sirmione old town, on the lake, minutes from the ferry port. The location is perfect. Once inside, a haven of peace and tranquillity. From the restaurant overlooking the lake. Fabulous for our evening meal watching the sunset. The sun deck on the lake to catch the rays. The beautiful garden to relax in the afternoon in the shade. We were b and b, but after sampling the breakfast on offer, we decided to have all our evening meals at the hotel, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and Fabio had a wealth of knowledge about the wine and as for his cocktails second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for Elena, and she was always ready to help and give advice. If you are lucky enough to be heading to this hotel or indeed thinking about going. Don't hesitate.

Just back yesterday from Hotel Catullo, what a wonderful family run hotel by Fabio and Elena. They welcomed us as if we were family. Their individual attention to all their guests is amazing. They organised boat trips, music evenings and wine tasting. It is unusual to find such a unique and quirky hotel. The food was excellent, we were sorry we only were bed and breakfast but did eat there on 3 evenings which was super. The jetty and garden are havens of peace and tranquility. Every member of their staff were fantastic, they can't do enough for you. The hotel is impeccably clean and bedrooms are cleaned every day with fresh snow white towels. Thank you Fabio and Elena for an amazing holiday.

I have travelled the world and stayed at a few 5 star hotels. The Catullo ‘experience’ exceeded our expectations. Fabio/Elena were excellent hosts and all the staff friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to couples for a romantic break. This family run business with a hotel right on the lake front with extra programmes they run at no cost to guests , will want you to return . Bravo to Hotel Catullo Sirmione.

What a gem of a hotel. Fabio and Elena are the best hosts. Their personal service is incredible, from meeting us at the door, to complimentary cheese and wine night, and boat ride, a special dinner for our anniversary and Fabio’s excellent knowledge of wine. We had the best time! The hotel is perfectly placed on the edge of the lake in the old town with the ferry port a couple of minutes walk. Stunning views and pleasant squares on either side with restaurants and bars. Sirmione was incredibly busy and very hot while we were there, but the Catullo hotel is an oasis of calm. All the staff work so very hard, but a special mention must go to Liliana and Ahmed who were just brilliant.

We’re just back from a 6 night break in Hotel Catullo. We loved every minute of it. Perfect location in the heart of Sirmione, a peaceful and calm hotel despite the many tourists and ferries arriving to explore Sirmione each day. Elena and Fabio were fantastic, always on hand to answer any questions and the additional activities they offer to their guests (the boat trip and free drinks with dinner) were much appreciated and enjoyed. Breakfast was an excellent spread with plenty of options. We loved the music at night and relaxing on the deck beside the lake. Hotel Catullo had it all and we are so glad we stayed here.
