Unique breakfast! Freshly prepared daily with a changing menu. And the coffee is incredibly good! The rooms are kept simple, very clean and cute with nice curtains and a small terrace. If you want to spend a quiet, authentic Italian holiday off the beaten track, you'll get your money's worth here. We ate pizza (stone oven) and dessert ("Bonnet") in the restaurant next door, really delicious!!

Simple, quiet, comfortable, very clean rooms with a delicious breakfast. The Garni is away from the many tourists and is an excellent starting point for great hikes and mountain bike trails. Very easy to find and get to. Room were very clean and nicely put together.

Paolo is a super friendly and helpful host and tries to make the best out of your stay. His rooms are all furnished with love and have a wonderful view over the lake. There is also the option of a private parking lot in a car park. We have been there several times and are going to stay there again if we are in this area.

When you arrive at Paulo's you feel like you're in the middle of a forest-enchanting garden with a great ambience at breakfast overlooking the lake! The rooms are very clean and the host Paulo is very helpful and also makes recommendations for things to do! Helga & Gerda

Very nice restored building. The view is awesome. Cannero Riviera is a central spot on the lake. Everything you need is in walking distance (beach, boat, restaurant...) . Just about 10 min by car from Cannobio. The host Paolo is a nice guy and very helpful in the daily planning of your vacation. Top👍🏻😁

Actually I would like to rate 5 star. However, the wifi is so terrible in some rooms and makes it impossible to connect to any streaming service!

I have never before been made to feel so welcomed on arrival at a hotel. The owners and staff were exceptionally lovely. The view and property is gorgeous, they have multiple terraces so you can sit with a drink or sunbathe. Its a very beautiful place. Nothing was too much trouble. We came back most nights for dessert, the tiramisu and profiteroles were wonderful.

The location is great. Overlooking the lake. 5 min walk down the steps to the firs small beach and maybe 10 min to the main beach. Breakfast was good and so was the service. Hotel is in a great location. Reception staff are amazing - helpful and friendly. They lift this review from a 2 to a 3! Restaurant staff were friendly but couldn't always help - breakfast was average (the free scrambled eggs were terrible and 5 Euros for 2 fried eggs instead! Lovely building in a great position on the lake however, the room rate at the beginning of October is too high to justify the lack of amenities and service. The receptionists were efficient but lacking warmth to the point of being austere and cold. Fantastic position and character on the side of the lake. Friendly, professional and loyal staff, and good that it is family run. We had a fabulous week in this lovely hotel. It was a special holiday and we treated ourselves to a lakeside view room. This is my favorite place in Cannero. We tried various dishes and they were all successful. In the end, one dish was our top favorite; luigine with truffle. In addition, the atmosphere at this place is unbeatable. It is located on a quiet boulevard, overlooking the lake. No mass tourism here; only quietly moving people who want to enjoy the peace and beauty.

The room is simple, with no frills. But the view from the window is simply amazing. Delicious breakfast, parking available. The air conditioner didn't work, but they fixed it the next day.

The location is exceptional. The staff were very kind, friendly and cooperative. The view is extraordinary looking directly at "il lago maggiore". We were group of families and we all liked it very much! I highly recommend this property 👌. I would also go once again 😊

A beautiful view of the lake. The staff is very friendly. But the apartments are very shabby, the pool isn't that nice and the drive up and down is no fun.

The location has a beautiful view over the lake. There are two parking lots with enough parking spaces. Access by car is difficult, the road being very narrow, without being able to pass two cars at the same time, but you can carefully climb by car. The building is quite old but has everything you need. There is no air conditioning and there are a lot of ants, any food left on the balcony attracts...

The location was perfect! Your staff were very helpful and friendly. Was great that the front desk staff could communicate to us in English as we did not know any Italian. They were able to arrange transportation for us and also connect us with family living in Cannobio. All in all a terrific experience!

Ive eaten all over this region for decades and this is a particularly good example of the wonderful local cuisine beautifully reinterpreted in a gastronomic yet unpretentious style. It doesn't get much better than this and prices are very reasonable. Its also a hotel that seems very nice.

The Antica Stallera was a good choice considering it being a three-star hotel. The runner up was the Hotel Cannobio, but its price did not convince us. Antica Stallera gives you a guaranteed spot for your car and it has all the charm and convenience a hotel in such a touristy place should have. Hotel staff was very friendly. Complementary breakfast was typical for budget European hotels. Parking is minimal. Overall property was ok. Room had minor items in disrepair...peeling wallpaper, balcony door handle broken, shower doors leaked water on floor. None of these concerns would prevent me from staying a few nights; however, I would probably find another hotel for a longer stay.

Paola is wonderful! Such a lovely person. Speaks great English. Recommended on sights and beaches. Let us put our lugagge before check in and keep it after. Brought us a fan when we requested as there was a weird heat wave in Italy. Our kids enjoyed the small pool at the yard. The view is amazing and it is literaly 4 minutes walk to the beach, as close as it gets. High value for money.

Charming house, very close to the lake, with an own little pool and a parking lot in a few meters. We felt very spoiled by the owner and her big breakfast for only 3-4 rooms so 6-8 guests.

I do not give 5 stars just because the bathroom was not in the room (as long as it is for private use) and to reach it you have to cross a common corridor

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ghiffa! The private beach on Lake Maggiore is the perfect place to relax, and the food at the restaurant was simply amazing.
