A very peaceful place, the owner is incredibly kind, we received a truly warm welcome and everything was perfect; the room was spotless and very clean. The breakfast was excellent and varied, with high-quality products. There's a very good restaurant next to the hotel. Parking is easy and free. If you want to spend a few quiet days in a small village, we highly recommend this place.

As a 3-star hotel with its price, it was really good! We stayed in a room for 4 people; it was really big, clean , and the view to the lake was fantastic! Breakfast has really small choices, but it was ok! It is really close to the lake, just a little walking. The lady receptionist was really kind and friendly. Only problem, if you take the 4 room with the view, you have to mount a countless stairs...

I have never before been made to feel so welcomed on arrival at a hotel. The owners and staff were exceptionally lovely. The view and property is gorgeous, they have multiple terraces so you can sit with a drink or sunbathe. Its a very beautiful place. Nothing was too much trouble. We came back most nights for dessert, the tiramisu and profiteroles were wonderful.

The location is great. Overlooking the lake. 5 min walk down the steps to the firs small beach and maybe 10 min to the main beach. Breakfast was good and so was the service. Food in the restaurant is also great and you can enjoy the view. You also get complimentary aperol. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location. Reception staff are amazing - helpful and friendly. They lift this review from a 2 to a 3! Restaurant staff were friendly but couldn't always help - breakfast was average (the free scrambled eggs were terrible and 5 Euros for 2 fried eggs instead! Lovely building in a great position on the lake however, the room rate at the beginning of October is too high to justify the lack of amenities and service. The receptionists were efficient but lacking warmth to the point of being austere and cold. Fantastic position and character on the side of the lake. Friendly, professional and loyal staff, and good that it is family run. Hotel staff was very friendly. Complementary breakfast was typical for budget European hotels. Parking is minimal. Overall property was ok. Room had minor items in disrepair...peeling wallpaper, balcony door handle broken, shower doors leaked water on floor. None of these concerns would prevent me from staying a few nights; however, I would probably find another hotel for a longer stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ghiffa! The private beach on Lake Maggiore is the perfect place to relax, and the food at the restaurant was simply amazing. Such a pretty and neat hotel, rooms are up to date, beds are really comfy! Private parking comes in really handy. Breakfast was great, beachbar down by the water is superb. Lovely staff! Village is small but the surrounding towns are nearby.

Pozzetto Is one of my favorite restaurants in Laveno to have lunch. The view, food quality and food service is amazing. The chef is a master! He combines fresh local ingredients with a beautiful presentation and flavors. I am surprised that they don't have a Michelin star. One of the best things about this restaurant is that they accept American Express. That is the mark of a true high level restaurant

This hotel is amazing. The room I stayed in had 3 beds, a TV, a separate room for storage, a mini-fridge, and two balconies overlooking the Lago Maggiori. The breakfast buffet costs $8 per adult but is free for kids. The service was exquisite and everything was amazing overall.

An extremely pleasant experience. The family who run the place are fantastic, helpful and attentive. Nice garden where you can enjoy your own meal. Ferry terminal is walking distance, so as the restaurants of Laveno. Free and hassle-free parking is also a plus. Would definitely return!

One of my favourite stays of all times just for 70€/2 nights/2 people. Views are magnificent, menu is tremendous. The drive is demanding, but don't get discouraged.

There are about 60 steep curves from Verbania until one reaches the top of Monterosso where the hotel is. But once you overcome those obstacles, you have the most beautiful view over Lago Maggiore (including Isola Bella), excellent home-made meals from local ingredients and relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful lake view, nice size room but unable to control AC temperature. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable, and we didn’t think the inhospitable owner would do anything about it since he wasn’t very welcoming to begin with. My wife and I arrived late from a long and hauling road trip. The beautiful room was equipped with all that one could dream of after a long day (i.e. bathtub, air conditioning of course, a shining view of the lago Maggiore and a comfortable bed). The breakfast was equipped with ample options for all types of taste (Ciabatta, Croissants, (sourdough) bread, scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, fruits, yogurt...

Superb family villa steeped in history. The garden is extraordinary, full of exoticism, the rooms with parquet floors and period furniture (1950s) offer a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and the breakfast room resembles a reception room. The surroundings (Pallanza, its villas, beaches, small restaurants) are not lacking in charm and calm either. In short, a magical place that we have a hard time leaving

This Place is like the Italien version of Chateau Marmont! It seems like time was stopped in the 50s it's incredibly charming and really an original site. If you like the good and easy life, this is it. The park is huge and has a lot of hidden treasures.
