Beautiful small town.
Good location. Friendly staff, but no one in the reception on arrival.
AC didn’t function late in the evening, but was fixed fast.

Cons: very hot room and uncomfortable bed meant not the best nights sleep.
Nice garden where you can enjoy your own meal. Ferry terminal is walking distance, so as the restaurants of Laveno. Free and hassle-free parking is also a plus.

It was great value for the price. Our room was nice and had a nice view. The breakfast could have been better because it was quite limited choice. The workers were very nice and friendly.
The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was good.
It is a very short walk to the lake and there is parking on site.

I can speak well of an employee, Melania, who works hard and very efficiently.
On the other hand, sometimes there was no hot water, despite paying 40 euros per night..
Also, I received harsh and intimidating statements from a guest who used to hang out at the hostel.
The fact is that, following these declarations against me, I was concerned and rightly intimidated.
The consequence was the abandonment of the room occupied by me and already paid for!
Well yes, tonight (May 7th) I should have stayed at the hostel for a second time, but I preferred to give up, leaving and giving a good 40 euros to the Eureka MI cooperative!
All because of this guest (a seventy-year-old man) who deliberately scared and intimidated me... and I just can't understand the reason for this behavior.
I think I'll make a report to the Carabinieri of Laveno-Mombello, in order to make sure who is staying in the hostel.
I feel very sorry indeed for the operators who have nothing to do with certain people; hostel operators who do their job very well.
It was a personal bad experience for me!
The Casa Rossa hostel in Laveno-Mombello will never see me again!
