This place is nothing like described. We were the only guests here — and now I understand why. The front desk man was extremely rude and even yelled at us because two of our four-person group that checked out earlier, stayed to enjoy the facilities. On the bright side, Lilly, the breakfast lady, was very kind and pleasant. But for the price— and with the hotel located farther from the city center — the experience was not worth it.

We booked two rooms directly through the hotel’s website. The first booking failed — no confirmation, no receipt, and no email. After calling the hotel, we were told to book again, which we did. When we arrived, the hotel had charged us twice, claiming we had booked four rooms. They refused to take any responsibility, to investigate, or to refund the extra €500 that was clearly taken in error. This situation completely ruined our short holiday and left us shocked by the staff’s unprofessional and dismissive attitude. We have already reported the case to Italian tourism authorities and consumer protection bodies (ECC Italy and AGCM). I would advise anyone booking here to be very careful and to double-check all charges.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! Worth a Michelin star! @michelinguide The staff is very polite, rooms are clean, excellent coffee machine! The view is breathtaking as well!

Do yourself a favour and stay away! We came to stay for two nights. The hotel claims to be a 4-star family hotel with 11 rooms, but we immediately realized that its standard is suitable for a 2-star hotel. It has no lobby, no reception office, just a tiny desk. We arrived at eight in the evening, tired, to an unpleasant reception from the clerk. The room we received had a bad smell, as if it had not been used for a long time. It was a neglected room with the most basic and old furniture. The bath towels were also old. We asked the reception for a stand to put our suitcase on, and the clerk replied that she did not know of anything like that, which is not appropriate for a hotel with such a rating. In addition, in the morning, we saw a row of ants moving around in our room. We asked the owner of the hotel to leave after one night. Of course, he did not agree, and his attitude was disgraceful. He behaved rudely towards us. This is a room that cost us €390 per night, and it's frustrating and infuriating to pay for a deluxe hotel and get a 2-star standard and disgraceful treatment. We really do not recommend staying at this hotel; it is bad in every way.

Beautiful lake view, nice size room but unable to control AC temperature. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable, and we didn’t think the inhospitable owner would do anything about it since he wasn’t very welcoming to begin with. The rest of the staff were very friendly & helpful.The breakfast and dinner we had at the restaurant was very good. Close proximity to the Ferry was a plus.

Amazing views and comfortable room.
Incredible view of the lake from the balcony of a comfortable and spacious room. Great bed. We loved the spa with a panoramic view of the lake. We thought the breakfast was expensive at €22 a head for what was on offer.

My wife and I arrived late from a long and hauling road trip. The beautiful room was equipped with all that one could dream of after a long day (i.e. bathtub, air conditioning of course, a shining view of the lago Maggiore and a comfortable bed).
The breakfast was equipped with ample options for all types of taste (Ciabatta, Croissants, (sourdough) bread, scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, fruits, yogurt….).

The location was it’s selling point, but the experience in its totality (pastries, Italian ham, cheeses, the view to wake up to…) won us over.

Great location with a fantastic view of Lago Maggiore.
The staff is extremely friendly and service minded and the food is exellent.
A good place for a romantic stay.

Beautiful place but service missing
Beautiful place and facilities but lacking service:
Reception always empty, kitchen always closed, asked room service they never brought it to us, we went to the spa but sauna and hot steam were off and there were no towels… strange way to manage the hotel…
