Hotel Gran Ciasa in Colfosco

We’ve just returned from our half term holiday. This was our second year at Gran Ciasa. And this time we were joined by my brother and his family. We chose to return as this hotel literally ticks all the boxes for a relaxed family ski holiday. The hotel is very well located for kids opposite Colfosco ski school. We’ve stayed in one of the comfort family rooms which was large for four of us. One thing I would add here is the mattresses are firm so if that’s not your thing then, perhaps you could speak with the hotel. But otherwise the rooms are well appointed and house keeping do a great job each day. The restaurant provides an excellent buffet choice at breakfast. There’s pretty much everything you’d want. And something for everyone. My 9 year old son particularly loved the giant Nutella tap and pancakes. Dinner choices are made each morning for your evening meal. And again a great choice. We were incredibly well looked after by our waiter Simone. He was so patient with our large group containing 6 children of varying ages. Big shout out to him. The spa area after skiing is the cherry on top. It’s an amazing treat to come back to each day. And helps soothe the mind and body before you tuck into an evening entertainment and food. You won’t be disappointed. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We’d happily come back again. And I’ve been skiing for 30 years and this is the first place I’ve wanted to return to year after year!

Our stay at Hotel Gran Ciasa was one of the highlights of our Italy vacation. The surroundings are beautiful and you can enjoy them from anywhere within the hotel. You really feel like you are in the mountains, especially in the hot tub and relax rooms. The room was spotless and cozy, the bed a welcome comfort after some nights on very hard mattresses, and the bathroom spacious and luxurious. We recommend the full pensione. The food and recommended wine pairings were delicious and I don't think I've ever had better service. We had a table with our name on it (literally) and our waiter Simone made us feel like celebrities. And if you have a car, you enjoy the free on-site parking as much as we did. It was a truly rejuvenating stay and I hope to come back.

Quaint hotel with gorgeous views, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, wonderful sauna facilities and superb breakfast and dinner accommodations. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely area with amazing nature outside the door. Hotel is set back from main road but a little morning traffic noise remains. Very nice staff. Clean and lovely.

We spent a perfect 7 days in this wonderful hotel and I have nothing but praise for it. It is perfectly clean, the rooms are spacious and bright, the staff is very professional and friendly, the food is varied and very tasty. The spa area is also a little corner of heaven. The location is ideal. A big thank you to the hotel staff from a family from Croatia, we will definitely be back.

On our way home from a fantastic week away with our two young children aged 8 and 5 for half term. It was their first time skiing, and the hotel was an ideal base right opposite Colfosco ski school. The hotel itself didn’t disappoint one bit, great staff who cannot do enough for you. Lovely meals morning and evening with a great choice. The spa was very well equipped and much needed at the end of each day! The kids loved the pool area, whilst the grown ups could make the most of the adult only sauna, steam and outdoor jacuzzi. All in a cracking week away. Loved the hotel. And have booked again for next year!

Staying in Gran Ciasa second time. It is absolutely exceptional hotel, I’d rate it 11/10 (a la Spinal Tap)
1) Absolutely stellar personnel from check in to waiters.
2) Hotel is stylish and looks so clean and detailed.
3) perfect after ski section: sauna/pool/massage
4) separately mention chef, our best regards to him
5) even the storage @ checkout is well though

Less carried away than expected, never quite felt "at home". Food a tad disappointing, more quantity than quality - good variety, but especially the first days some lack of taste.
Very professional staff, but with a somewhat impersonal feeling - except for the massage (highly recommended)

The Place in excellent in all the aspects:location,rooms (bathroom almost size of room!),spa (3 saunas,steam room,pool, jacuzzi,relaxation rooms with fruit drinks,teas…),delicious food.Of course,service is accordingly great! Spent a lovely week staying here whilst skiing around the Sella Ronda region. The hotel and rooms are clean and smart. We had two “comfort double” rooms which were a good size (but room 105 was significantly larger than 104). Food was plentiful for both breakfast and dinner (on half-board) and appropriate care was taken with dietary requirements and allergies.Spa area was extensive and enjoyable after a day’s skiing. Hotel location is good, 200m walk to the closest ski slope. Local ski rental places deliver and collect skis etc directly to and from the hotel’s ski room for free.
