We had a dinner at Mas deli Chini and there are several aspects to mention: first of all the ambience at the terrace is very cosy and the decoration is very nice. Unfortunately, I picked the Tortel with salumi and cheese and I wasn’t too satisfied. I’ve tried before tortel and it wasn’t as fried as it was presented in this restaurant and the consistency is very different from the real one. Moreover, my partner received very late the fish and it was cold and a bit hard.

Also, the staff was a bit rude to explain the different kinds of wine for someone who is not an expert on this topic.

The idea is given that the accommodation is in a large rural area. However, the b&b is close to a busy road.
The room we were given was very small and as such not quite a good price/quality comparison.

Delicious food and wonderful staff. Easy to visit as a tourist. Our server spoke Italian, German, and English. We will be taking much of the food from the shop home with us!

Superb food, great wine and exceptional service - had a lovely lunch at Mas dei Chini coupled with a quick tour of the wine cellar. Highly recommended.

Charming Hotel
Absolutely lovely. My first night staying in Italy. We drove from Germany to visit our exchange student and I was pleasantly surprised to find this charming hotel. We booked a quad room and it comfortably slept 4 people. The beds were comfortable and the room was air-conditioned and cool.
The bathroom and shower were large and accommodating. Our stay included a delicious European Breakfast of bread, meat, cheese, fruit, various cereals,
Pastries and of course a variety of coffee. A definite must to stay here if visiting the area

A perfect first stop in Italy!
On a road trip through Europe, Mas Dei Chini was our first stop in Italy ever. And we couldn't have been happier!

From the check-in, the staff made us feel at home and welcome. Especially so for remembering the food allergies in our family and having planned for that during dinner. The food was great (don't miss the local speciality on the menu, the "dumplings"!), and so was Mas Dei Chini's own wines. Bought a couple of bottles to bring back home – and a bag-in-box of the apple juice as well.

The family room we stayed in was big enough to accommodate the four of us (two adults, two teenagers) with out any problems.

And finally, a lot of tasty offerings on the breakfast buffet.

In the reviews, there are some comments about the traffic on the road just outside. And yes, you can hear it, but it didn't bother us at all.

If you pass by and need dinner and/or a place to stay, I can really recommend Mas Dei Chini!

Something positive to start with: we liked the wines. Something negative to start with: not for animal lovers, more below. We booked this accommodation with great anticipation and were massively disappointed on every possible level! At first everything makes a really good impression. What you never see in all the photos is that the property is right on the main road, see photo, the noise level of the many cars and buses is tried to be masked with very, very loud club music, so there is no trace of the idyllic peace that you would imagine such a stay to be! About the room: The bathroom is simply not well thought out, no coat hooks, no hooks for the towels - and no shelf for them either. So we had to ask for new ones every day. If you want hot water you have to wait about 5 minutes. As for the cleanliness, see the photo of the bathroom... The hair you can see here was not ours, none of us have that long hair. For breakfast: There was only one type of egg, a hard-boiled, chilled one, straight from the fridge. We were there for 3 days, and we had to ask for salt every day. The unmotivated young employee did not ask us for coffee on any of the 3 days. On the day of departure she even walked past 3 times until I stopped her and asked if she wanted to ask us for a coffee. We were the only guests, so it was definitely not due to stress. Of course, no one ever asked for a second cup either, you had to look for it and ask for it. The rest of the breakfast consisted of conventional ricotta, camembert, 1 type of salami, 1 type of ham. Jam from a jar. Ready-made cakes. Muesli. No trace of tomatoes, olives or anything Mediterranean... the level of an average guesthouse. One day we even got old, dry bread from the day before. About the restaurant: We ate in the in-house restaurant on the day of arrival: I ordered a salad with my meal - I got 100% pure iceberg lettuce with no dressing - see photo. The fish was overcooked and the side dish was a minimalist blob of tasteless puree - see photo. A bitter disappointment. For us, the worst thing was that there was a dog on the property in a cramped kennel (see photo) that howled and barked the whole time because it understandably wanted to go outside. We also have video recordings of this. We have a dog ourselves and it was unbearable to listen to it. We never saw anyone take it for a walk or look after it in any way. When we asked if it had to stay there all day, we were told: "only when there are guests"... So, as a dog lover, everyone's heart will bleed. It's all a real shame.
