This town is so amazingly beautiful and full of architecture, art and history. I felt like I was on a movie set all the time I was there. Lots of ambitious walking up and down hills. Be prepared with good walking shoes.

Nice location. Staff was nice. The only issue is the room with no AC or plugs. When reviewing the property it appeared the property lists AC. You would assume the whole hotel has AC. Once I selected the room I should have looked closely at the AC availability. Rough night to sleep. Other than that the staff was nice and the place comfortable.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. The hotel is off the highway (SP146) between Montepulciano and Sant'Albino. A car is absolutely necessary to visit the hotel. The road off the highway up to the hotel can be easy to miss (be careful, the turn off is on a curve in the road and at an intersection). The breakfast was especially good! The room was small and dated, but it had a closet and I felt it was good value for money overall. It's close to the bus stop, but you have to cross a large road on the way there, and it was difficult to cross, especially in the morning when there was a constant stream of traffic.

The hotel needs updating if they are going to charge luxury hotel prices. Porch door needs a screen to keep bugs out of the hot room. ******* should not advertise price includes all expenses (e.g., they charge additional 5 Euros per person for pool).

The room conditions was good except by the fact that the toilet was very dirty. It did not look like well cleaned. The breakfast was good.

We had a wonderful stay. ILTosco has all the old world charm of Montepulciano with modern bedrooms and bathrooms. I can’t say enough about the hospitality we were shown by Angelina and the owner Elena. The best way to describe it is a very high end hotel with the best customer service. I will recommend Il Tosco to anyone headed to Tuscany. I’ll attach a picture of the view from our room.

Having visited towns in Tuscany in the past, I had always envied the ancient hilltop buildings that housed small boutique hotels. Finally got my chance and it was amazing. Il Tosco feels like you are visiting a wealthy relative. Rooms are authentically decorated and the kitchen is always filled with fresh pastries for you. It is such a special Tuscan experience. Cannot recommend too strongly!

You will be staying at an inn with fantastic staff, breathtaking views and just wonderful. Caveat, not easy for people with mobility issues.

Very cute boutique hotel in a great location in Montepulciano. The price was great for how big and comfortable rooms are. There is a bar/restaurant attached so that’s very convenient for the afternoon drinks. Parking is further away but you can drive up to the hotel and the manager will take the car to the parking lot for you. We really enjoyed our stay in Montepulciano for a couple of nights!

Stayed here in Nov ‘19 for about $75 euro per night. Good location near the city gate but I would have rather stayed within the walls themselves. Very nice structure in the middle of the greenery, but very close to the road that leads to Montepulciano. Clean pool, the apartments were very nice and had mosquito nets! In addition to being very kind, the owner offered us a tasting in her family cellar.

We stayed here for a week and had the most amazing time! The hosts, Susanna and Massimo, are lovely people, we felt super welcome. A lovely B&B in the heart of charming Montepulciano, it’s located close to all the town’s attractions and restaurants. Our hosts Luisa and Giuseppe went out of their way to help us get there (the train-bus connection can be tricky) and to find transportation during a train strike. If you’re looking for a special place to spend a few days in heaven, this is it.

The entire stay was amazing! Because of our late connections and arrival, Giuseppe picked us up at the bus station! Luisa was so helpful with transportation questions. Highly recommend.

The hotel was centrally located and the proprietors -- Luisa and Giuseppe -- were absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to help us in any way they could -- from reataurant recommendations to finding us drivers from Florence airport to their hotel and then from Montepulciano to Naples. Twin room was quite poky with rock hard beds, and no outside window, worst sleep for a while; bathroom really tiny. No access to hot water / drinks etc before 8am breakfast. Not the best for walkers like us.

My wife and I spent five nights in the Hotel Albergo Duomo. We used Montepulciano as a very convenient home base for local travel. The Albergo is located at the top and edge of the town which is very walkable, but steep in places. It is a small, older hotel, but was in good condition and very clean. Unique experience in a central location

No title We are assigned to the room right off the street. The staff told us that is the oldest part of the building, we didn’t even have a chance to get into the main part of the building to experience the old castle setting. The room we stayed didn’t have the cups for brushing teeth. But the breakfast service is excellent.

Fantastic experience to spend the night in such a beautiful preserved “ palazzo “. Great location, nice and helpful staff and fantastic food for the breakfast and the recommended restaurant. Price of the accommodation is very good if you don't reserve through booking.com. Call directly to the location, hosts speak some English, trust them, you really don't need booking.com, and you will also do them a favor.

Montepulciano is a small ancient village in the very heart of Tuscany, on top of a hill. Il Marzocco is an ancient building almost on top of that hill. Thishotel is in a fantastic location; it is situated just inside the old gates to the city. And despite being over 500 years old, the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. My room was huge and overlooked the main road but was still pretty quiet.

Overall this property was excellent! The room and bathroom were clean and huge. Very high ceilings made it feel quite spacious. If you are driving, pay attention to the parking situation. You have to park at P1 and then walk, but it’s not far. The upside is that you’re staying right on the edge of town.

Spent two nights here and will definitely return. What an amazing property. Hard to believe a place with only 16 rooms has so many staff members, and the owners are always wandering around the property, chatting with staff, guest and making sure everything is good. While we had to switch rooms during our stay as the same room wasn't available for both nights when we booked, we found beds and pillows...
