Agriturismo Il Cantastorie in Montepulciano

Agriturismo Il Cantastorie is a truly beautiful agriturismo and was the perfect place for our autumn stay in Tuscany. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better base to experience the region. The views across the rolling Tuscan hills, with Montepulciano in the distance, are simply stunning and especially magical at sunset. Susanna and her husband were incredibly warm, welcoming, and generous hosts — attentive without ever being intrusive, and genuinely passionate about the place and the region. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, allowing us to cook and enjoy meals at home when we wanted a quiet evening in. The pool was another highlight, offering breathtaking views over the countryside and the perfect spot to relax with a glass of local wine. Agriturismo Il Cantastorie is only a short taxi ride from Montepulciano, giving easy access to the town’s excellent restaurants, incredible wine, and local produce. We loved exploring the food and wine scene and then returning to the peace and beauty of the agriturismo. We truly can’t recommend Agriturismo Il Cantastorie highly enough — it’s the place to stay when visiting Montepulciano. We’re already looking forward to returning on our next Tuscan trip.

Amazing place with the greatest hosts! Even if we could not stay as long as we planned, we enjoyed your place. It is like a fairytale, super clean and well placed. And the hosts are one of a kind! Highly recommended! Thank you!

Very nice structure in the middle of the greenery, but very close to the road that leads to Montepulciano. Clean pool, the apartments were very nice and had mosquito nets! In addition to being very kind, the owner offered us a tasting in her family cellar.

We stayed here for a week and had the most amazing time! The hosts, Susanna and Massimo, are lovely people, we felt super welcome. One night they invited us to watch the Euro final together, made pizza, offered cheese and wine, which was so generous and nice!
The place itself is very clean, quiet and green - and the view of Montepulciano is amazing! Would definitely recommend this place, you’ll surely have a wonderful time! Susanna also offers great wine and free tastings in her own cellar in Montepulciano and welcomed us with a bottles of free, super delicious wine!

Clean appartments, nice view, a beautiful garden and swimming pool! On top of that you're welcomed by two amazing owners, who make you feel like home in Il Cantastorie!
