Reviews
Staying at Hotel Firenze was one of the worst experiences of my life. If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. Let me break down just how terrible this place is, because everyone deserves a warning before even considering it.
1. Cleanliness? NON-EXISTENT!
The room was absolutely disgusting. There was mold everywhere – on the walls, in the shower, on the ceiling, and even in the corners of the windows. 🦠🤢 The smell of dampness hit us the second we walked in, and it only got worse the longer we stayed. The sheets? Dirty and stained.
The bathroom was a complete health hazard. There were visible hairs in the shower, soap scum everywhere, and the toilet seat looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this place was a breeding ground for cockroaches. 🪳💩
2. Food That’s an Insult to Humanity
Calling what they served “food” is generous. The meals were old, tasteless, and clearly reheated multiple times. The smell alone was nauseating. 🤮 The breakfast was especially pathetic – a couple of stale croissants, cheap butter packets, and coffee that tasted like they boiled sewer water. ☕🚱 And forget about getting enough to eat. The portions were so small, it felt like they were rationing food during a famine.
At one point, we found something green growing on a piece of bread they served us. Moldy bread in a hotel?! Are you kidding me? 🟢🍞 We didn’t even feel safe eating the fruit because everything seemed like it had been sitting out for days. Absolutely disgusting 🤮
3. A Staff That Shouldn’t Work With Humans
The family running this place is an absolute disgrace. They are rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. Any time we brought up a concern (and trust me, there were MANY), they either ignored us or rolled their eyes like we were annoying them. They had no intention of fixing anything and treated us like we were a burden rather than paying guests. 🤬
One of them even laughed when we pointed out the mold in the room. Laughed! Can you imagine how unprofessional and disrespectful that is? Their attitude ruined what little hope we had for salvaging this nightmare of a trip.
4. The Insult of the “Amenities”
This hotel claims to offer “amenities,” but that’s a blatant lie. Instead of proper toiletries, they gave us sample-sized shampoo bottles – the kind you get for free in the walking malls. The Wi-Fi barely worked, the air conditioning was broken, and the walls were so thin we could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, including someone snoring and another couple arguing late into the night.
Final Thoughts
I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Firenze to my worst enemy. This place is a filthy, disgusting, poorly managed dump that should honestly be shut down by health inspectors. 🏨💩
Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs. This was supposed to be a vacation, but it felt more like surviving a horror movie.
Rating: 0/5 – Absolutely terrible, never again.
I can't praise enough this place. Nicoletta, Sidonia, Beatrice, the staff are way beyond being helpful and kind and they were doing their best to make us feel good and comfortable.
The food is very good and delicious, generous portions + the salad bar, the rooms are very clean.
The child friendly beach is a stone throw away and is very clean and the fact that is private is reflected in not being crowded.
Definitely we will be there next year again.
I can't wait to be in Caorle again!
