Fujikawaguchiko, Funatsu 6663-11, Minami Tsuru-gun 🧭 Map
Before checking in, I thought it was a bit pricey, but after staying, I totally get why it's worth the cost. The common area is quite spacious, perfect for guests to eat. The second floor is where the rooms are. As you enter, there are lockers on the left, and the path to the restrooms and showers is also on the left. The right side is solely for sleeping.
The capsule bed was spacious, toilet and bathroom were clean. Near the supermarket which was just across the road and next to convenience store. Luggage storage was provided before and after check in/out. Walking distance around 25 mins from Kawaguchiko Station. The only downside was you were not allowed to stay inside the capsule bed and need to leave from that building after 10 am until 3 pm as...
Great customer service and excellent communication from the team. The place is clean and well maintained and the capsule is comfortable and well equipped.  Thank you.
Clean, best location to train station, free hot water in public zone
Located just right opposite Fuji Q station, just 1 station away from Kawaguchiko station, only 2 mins walk. Not much eateries nearby but there’s a Lawson next to the hotel.
Place is extremely good location if you plan to end your day trip to Fuji-q highland. Comfortable for a night’s stay but not much around other than some restaurants and Lawson.

An amazing experience! My first time in a traditional Ryokan and I couldn't be happier. The Fuji view is top-tier. Plus, there’s a great late-night snack spot nearby that’s both delicious and affordable. I was especially impressed by the staff, the place was spotless. Honestly, it’s the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The only downside was that the bathroom was a bit too cold for my liking (since...
This hostel is in a quiet area. It’s about 15 to 20 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko station. Bus service is no so frequent; I usually waited about 20 to 30 minutes. The plus side is it has a big kitchen and sitting area. The temperature in the dorm room with the heater that I was staying was perfect. I had good sleep for the 3 nights, when I was staying there. I do recommend this hostel for solo...
Alright hostel. Toilets are clean enough, but there seems to be a perpetual smell of pee on the men's toilet. Showers are clean and are equipped with hair- and bodyproducts. Only 2 showers per floor, so it would assume not everyone gets the chance to use them during rush hours. Especially during peak season. Beds are alright. Thick blanket, which is very nice. You have to make your own bed, so keep...
I absolutely loved this place, the staff and guests were all so welcoming and compared to the capsule hostels ive stayed at in japan this place really felt like a home. the kitchen was one of the best ive seen when its comes to hostels, it really has everything you need and is kept extremely organised and clean which I really appreciate! the location was very convenient if you dont mind a short 15...
We are not hostel people at all, but here booking a private room with private bathroom was the perfect decision. Loved every single night here and we stayed for four nights. It was quiet at all times, very spacious with amazing shared facilities, laundry, an amazingly huge and well equipped kitchen, cozy hang out and dining space. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff mainly long term volunteers...

Located 5mins away from oishi park meant that we could view Mt Fuji quite easily and whenever we wanted. We were slightly disappointed that the mountain view room did not refer to Mt Fuji view, but that was our mistake for not clarifying. The room was huge and had a jacuzzi which we enjoyed, access to private onsen was nice too. Overall, it was an extremely pleasant stay here.
Because I drove, parking was convenient and there was enough space. However, the air conditioner and toilet ran non-stop all night until I turned off the heater, and the TV had no signal. The rest of the place was quiet, and the restaurant had a view of Mount Fuji.
Room Types: A small European-style inn, offering tatami rooms, some rooms with open-air or private baths, and also providing private baths. • View: Many guests praise the view of Mount Fuji from the living room, a major plus and perfect for taking photos and relaxing. • Facilities: The building's exterior and interior have a slightly dated feel. Some travelers mentioned cracked wallpaper and a slightly...
Located in a great location with a view of Mount Fuji, a hot spring bath is available for reservation.
The underground parking lot is a bit scary, and the room decoration is a bit old, but it is a surprise to be able to see Mount Fuji, and the private bathroom outside is quiet and quiet.
There is a separate bathtub, but the location is unclear. The room is average and there is no view.

The location is good as expected, near by bus station
The heater works fine. Except the window with rice paper is not well glued. Hence night time the chill air comes into the room

This is a small, fully self-service hotel, where you check in via a pad at the entrance. It's about a seven- to eight-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station, in a small residential area. You need to change into slippers upon entering, but these are shared, so I recommend bringing your own. The bunk beds were a bit hard, and the small room had its own refrigerator. There are two shared toilets, two bathrooms...

Great place overall. As mentioned by other reviews, the place is well taken care of and clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The only con is that it is located ~20min away from kawaguchiko station and the road leading to it is narrow and not suitable for big luggage. Please take a cab if it is possible, I highly recommend it. One side story, I used the wrong key for the bicycle rental and end...
K’s housefuji view was comfortable and clean to spending this area. Morning view definitely beautifull to see Mt.Fuji
This is my third time staying here. The service is good, amenities are complete, and it's quiet. It might be a bit of a walk from the station. I recommend taking the Blue Line and getting off at stop 67, across the street from Bell Supermarket; it's a short walk to the accommodation.
I stayed in this hostel for 4 days and 3 nights in Kawaguchiko. The staff are very friendly and the cleanliness is very good. The guests are also very high quality and will take the initiative to keep the facilities clean after use The room has two layers of beds. The sheets, mattresses and pillows are all very clean. And no weird taste There is a socket + USB socket + small cabinet at the bedside...
Really cosy atmosphere, nice hangout space, big kitchen, great vibes. Far away from everything, but you can rent bikes.
Although the location is relatively remote, it feels very good to stay and it feels like a vacation. The shared spaces (living room and kitchen) are very spacious. Hygiene is very good, the surrounding area is very clean The scenery is beautiful, you can see Mount Fuji In the evening, I cook dinner in the kitchen and chat with my family and friends in the living room. It’s very formal! Will stay here...

Approximately 11 min walk from the station which isn’t too bad. However, it might be quite a walk if you have 2 big luggages. Booked a private room on the 2nd floor and thankfully the staff (male) helped us carry our bags up the stairs. The shower was well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and lots of hot water and good pressure. Walls are rather thin so you can hear people walking...

Perfect place for Mt Fuji viewing. Basically waking up with Mt Fuji
The hostel is situated near Kawaguchiko Station, but it's a bit of a walk and somewhat tucked away. Overall, the hostel offers a pleasant atmosphere. With its on-site restaurant, guests don't need to venture far for meals, making it a great option for trekkers heading to Mount Fuji.
Great facilities and the food is awesome, recommend to buy from their restaurant.
Due to missing my bus, I had a late check-in. However, the staff were very kind and helpful, ensuring I had a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The owner is very nice. She know English and we can communicate. The breakfast given is nice too! We have been recommended to some good dinner place in Fujiyoshida!
The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Clean, airy and conveniently located to many places to visit. The hostess was super friendly, gave us instructions on how to get around cheaply and even gave us gifts!
The owner was very nice and helpful. She cooked simple breakfast for us. The hostel has four rooms and shared toilets, shower rooms and dinner area. The owner provides few bikes for guests to rent. We had a lovely stay.
Many people criticize this B&B, so I'll say a few fair words. First of all, the landlord is an auntie who speaks a little English but not Chinese. She chatted with me in English when I checked in. Because it's a homestay, there are many rules, such as no smoking, throwing towels in a bamboo basket after taking a shower, trying to be quiet after 11pm, washing dishes after breakfast, etc. I live with...
Although the bathroom is shared, the room is clean and Japanese style. Breakfast is free of charge. However, we had to leave early in the morning and did not have time for breakfast. The lady boss was very considerate and prepared bread for us in the morning.
Another form of Airbnb, you can communicate and chat with the landlord face to face. The overall environmental sanitation management is good, and the management awareness of private hotels is quite strong. It is about a 15-minute walk from Fujisan Station. The surrounding transportation is average. Suitable for 1-2 days of transit travelers.

What a amazing place to live! I've got many surprises here and the location is awesome. Owner here is very nice and I found many cute writing. Hopefully I can come over again someday.
Hana Hostel is located in the main road of Fujiyoshida, a town in the surroundings of Fuji Mountain, in the center of Honshu Island, in Japan. The rate quality/price is very good. The room had all we needed. The shared bathroom and zones are very clean and we could eat free yogurts and some Japanese pastries. Hana hostel was lovely! They went above and beyond for us, even bought us new slippers because our feet were too big! Good value, only hit my head on roof once lol.
It's a really cute factory. I really like it.
Simply the best experience we had in Japan, not only for the clean and super cozy environment, but for the friendliness, courtesy and care in each of the details offered by the friendly couple who take care of the Hostel. The amount paid was perhaps one of the cheapest during our trip to Japan, the experience we had was irreplaceable.

They have clean reams and CRs :) staff were friendly.I would recommend if you stay in Mt Fuji Area esp near train station were you could see Mt Fuji .. also walking distance to Chrito Pagoda
If you are going to visit Mt Fuji then maybe this location is not the best. You need to take train to 3 stations and then bicycle to kawaguchiko lake. The hostel was good, not bad but nothing fancy or special about. The staff speaks English so maybe that’s one advantage
Great place to stay in while in Fujiyoshida. Close to fujikawaguchiko and to great to climb Fuji also.
The hostel is in a very good location for anyone planning to hike Mt Fuji, with easy access to transport and nearby amenities. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and provided detailed advice that helped me plan my hike smoothly. They speak fluent English and Japanese, which made communication easy and stress‑free. The main drawback is that luggage and personal belongings cannot be stored on‑site...

Such a perfect place to stay! We loved it. Great breakfast at nearby Cafe. Noise isolation between rooms could be better but no problems for us, visited during autumn. If you found this place in Fujiyoshida, book it! No doubt! We stayed in the annex.
I stayed at this fabulous property over the summer with my Son and I wasn’t disappointed. The room (twin, with bathroom) was simply stunning. The largest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! The location was fantastic, staff friendly, Air Conditioning cold, room clean…..it was just perfect! I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re climbing Mt Fuji or heading to Fuji-Q.
This was by far our best hostel experience ever - this place is really special. We stayed in one of their two private rooms, which was very spacious, clean and with a view on surrounding mountains. The hostel is located at the very famous viewing point on mount Fuji. I would absolutely recommend staying here and we hope to visit again soon!
This hostel was a gem. I am really glad to have found this place. The location is perfect, close to the train station and some attractions around Mt Fuji. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere, the decor and the shower products. We also had breakfast included which was in an amazing cafe next door. Cafe latte was great. We got 2 free drinks pp as well. I recommend staying here to anyone who is hesitating...
Just arrived and it is so lovely. The room is huge and well lit with a floor to ceiling window overlooking the street below. The beds are super comfy with very soft quilt covers, and the amenities are great. The concierge was very kind, polite, and helpful, even helping us with our luggage into our room. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.
Fantastic minimalist home stay vibes My husband and I stayed at Hostel Saruya for one night as part of our honeymoon trip to Japan. We are an active couple in our early 30’s who were looking for a Japanese homestay experience near Mt. Fuji. We are so pleased to have chosen Hostel Saruya. Not bad for the price and location
I felt a lot of love and thought put into this traditional Japanese guesthouse. As a Japanese traveler who often goes abroad, I truly enjoyed experiencing Japanese culture here. I also had interesting conversations with some of the foreign guests.
The inn was housed in an old Japanese house and had a wonderful atmosphere! This is the perfect place to relax.
A good hostel with a traditional Japanese feel, perfect for international tourists. It's very clean. The room has a sink, luggage storage, a refrigerator, and tatami mats. We stayed three people for a night and didn't feel crowded. The restroom is shared, but there are ones on each floor. There's also an onsen, which was wonderful to relax in after a long day of exploring! There are 24-hour convenience...
This compact yet well-appointed establishment offers both capsule pods and family rooms, and notably, private bathhouses. You can book a 50-minute slot per person, and each time it's thoroughly cleaned. It's great for those driving, and also convenient for JR users, just a 5-minute walk from Shin-Fuji Station. There are a few restaurants inside the new station nearby where you can eat, and a convenience...

Quiet oasis The food an amenities were wonderful. The atmosphere of the hotel is quite nice, and they have very uniqhe sourvebirs you can purchase. It would be perfect for a quite retreat.
Fun to stay here and experience a traditional Onsen/Japanese style room. Very quiet area. Appreciated the shuttle to train station.
The slope is tough on the body. It's a shame there's no shower. There was a lot of hair in the bathtub, which was disgusting.
It's a good place to just relax by yourself. Please improve the noise of the ventilation fan in the bathroom.
You can enjoy reading 24 hours a day. You can also enjoy the hot springs at night, which gives you a sense of freedom. The renovation is wonderful🥰 The food is too salty for me…
There is nothing around, but it was a hideaway-like place. It was relaxing. It seems to have been renovated, and it was a sophisticated hot spring inn. It was clean and extremely comfortable. It is not very convenient for transportation, but there is a shuttle from Yugawara Station, so it should not be a problem.
