Breakfast and dinner were included, and the quality was decent. Private onsen baths are available for an additional fee, but each session is only 30 minutes. I might book this hotel again for my next trip
Bus stop located right in front of the hotel entrance however with very little frequency. Hotel does provide free shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station.
Good food and beautiful surroundings. Plus, you can lying in the onsen bathtub watching Fuji Moutain or the breath taking beautiful lake. We came here in 2014 and stayed one night
Great service! Dinner and breakfast were deliciously good!!! Will come back again!
Made a side trip to stay at a ryokan during our March vacation. Super comfy and stunning place! Communication wise, there wasn't an issue. The staff spoke good English and were clear with their speech
The location isn't the most convenient, but the hotel offers a shuttle bus service, though with limited hours. It would be more convenient if you're driving, as there's plenty of parking available

The room itself is a bit small, and the bathroom entrance has a raised threshold, so be careful when going in and out. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally tripped
Not a bad hotel after all. All the basic is there and is somewhat clean. Location is good. Bus stop is just right infront of the hotel easy. Nice view too
The room offers a direct view of Mount Fuji the moment you open the window. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style
10mins walk to Kawaguchiko station. Getting the shuttle bus was troublesome, I’d rather walk. Onsen was a great touch, worth trying if you are not visiting a full-fledged onsen. Room was clean and comfortable
The mountain-view rooms offer a view of Mount Fuji from one side of the window. The breakfast was also very good, and the shuttle bus driver, Sam, and other staff provided excellent and attentive service
It's just over 900 meters from Kawaguchiko Station, and you can contact the front desk for pick-up and drop-off when you arrive or depart (they have staff who speak Chinese)

You get a full view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony window. The staff were super friendly, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff members. The hot springs on the fifth floor have both indoor and outdoor options
You can enjoy the views of Mount Fuji while you soak. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were surprisingly delicious, and there was a good variety too
Mountain view room with an absolutely stunning view of Mount Fuji, and it's cheaper than nearby options. Parking is available and the service is excellent. The bathhouse is a bit small, though.
They offer a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. Just make sure to look for the shuttle with three hotel names printed on it
This price point is an incredible value! I booked it for just over 1000, which included breakfast and dinner, plus a balcony room. The hotel only has balcony rooms on the sixth floor, so there aren't many
You'll need to remember the hotel's English name to identify it correctly, otherwise, you might end up waiting a long time at the station. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Mount Fuji!

The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. Parking is available, located a short distance from the hotel
The hotel provides free parking, Onsen breakfast has quite a variety, and we booked the no-view room (not facing Fuji), but also have a scenic view of green
Nice hotel, can see Mt Fuji just at the room window, great view. Can also see Mt Fuji when you go for onsen from the hotel.
The room is a comfortable size and offers a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the corner. It is clean and well equipped, with individual air-conditioning in the room. All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service
This hotel might be the best value for money by the lake. It's directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mount Fuji is right to the left, so you can enjoy beautiful views without even leaving the hotel
Most hotels around Mount Fuji are quite expensive, and the cheaper options often have less desirable locations

The most amazing stay of our life. We walked from the station to the hotel. Woke up to a clear view of Mt. Fuji and the hotel was more than amazing in everything. We regret staying only 1 night
We went down at 7 AM and were seated by a window overlooking Mount Fuji, which was lovely! You can see beautiful Mount Fuji right from your room; I didn't even want to go out exploring
The service was great! The view is amazing. The only minor drawback was that the breakfast was exactly the same for both days
The complimentary drinks available at all times and the ramen served in the evening were very thoughtful touches
The price was worth it, the food is very delicious and the onsen just wow
I just wanted to relax on the balcony or in the bathtub and enjoy the view! They also offer complimentary evening drinks, including corn soup, juice, and soda, as well as cream puffs and bread

Fujikawaguchiko, 511 Katsuyama, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi 🧭 Map
The property’s strategic location offers potential Mount Fuji views from second-floor windows during clear weather, providing budget travelers with access to the iconic scenery that typically requires expensive hotel rooms
Owners are soft spoken and polite, rarely seen but appear immediately when summoned by the bell at reception. Immaculate location with a beautiful rooftop terrace view of Fuji. Free drinks and snacks at all times
Good Fuji scenic view from room window. Free onsen with good facilities.
The bikes are free to hire so had a great cycle around the lake too. The rooftop was a lovely place to chill with an amazing view of Fuji. It was less social than other places but good for downtime
Everything is done to ensure you have a great time, small details to improve your daily life, for example the temperatures of the day, all the supermarkets in the area, all the activities in the region on a leaflet, and also when there is an event (in this case a hanabi matsuri) I highly recommend this hotel, they work hard and deserve the best
The first-floor common area functions as a genuine community space with complimentary snacks, various board games, and comfortable seating that facilitates natural interactions between guests from different countries and backgrounds

Super good! The room faces Mount Fuji directly, the view is first-rate, including the hot spring, which also faces Mount Fuji, it's really great! Dinner and breakfast are also very good, with a lot of choices!
The semi-buffet dinner was rich and surprising, the staff were warm and polite, and the toilet was updated compared to before and had a drying function (≧ω≦)/I will come again next time
The hotel offers a delightful view of Mount Fuji from the window, with no blind spots. However, the room was smaller than expected, making it difficult to fully open a suitcase
The breakfast and dinner were both delicious; I'd consider staying here again just for the food. The onsen experience was just okay, and you need to bring your own towel as none are provided
I’d like to thank The Kukuna for a fantastic stay. Our time there was so relaxing and the suite was beautiful. The staff exceded our expectations.
Except that the price is a bit expensive, the location and view are first-class. I am very satisfied and the dinner is also very good.

This resort also catered to large tour groups but we didn't encounter any issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here
If you have a car, this hotel is very good. I have good dinner and breakfast here.
We are a families of 4 and the room type available required us to book 2 rooms which is ok. Hotel price is very reasonable with good onsen and delicious spread of food. We liked this hotel so much that we stayed 3 nights
It is open air onsen and nice buffet dinner and breakfast. First time taking in Japanese style room. Shortage: TV is old version and not smart TV, cannot play YouTube. Public transport might hard to reach this hotel
Beautiful resort located at Motosu Lake area, a quieter and more relaxing location for those who drive. Rooms are renovated, clean and new. Onsen is good, not crowded during our stay
Games Room operating time from 4 pm to 9. Breakfast and dinner are good. The autumn leaves at the resort are beautiful, red, yellow and orange

Fufu Kawaguchiko, Fujikawaguchiko1 / 17High rating

Fujikawaguchiko, 2211-1, Mizuguchi kawaguchi 🧭 Map
Location: It's about a 10-minute walk uphill from the Maple Corridor to Lake Kawaguchiko. There are no convenience stores near the hotel; you have to walk downhill towards Lake Kawaguchiko to find one
However, the public bath offers free ice cream and a water bar! Food: Dinner was an elaborate kaiseki meal that took two hours to finish. Breakfast was a Japanese-style meal, and both were very substantial
Out of all the Fufu properties I've stayed at, the food here ranks as the second worst (Nara being the absolute worst). The Western-style breakfast, specifically, was awful except for the bread
Room: You can see Mount Fuji, and the room is fully equipped, even with an indoor fireplace. All the fragrances are pine-scented. View: The garden is quite small, with a camping-style vibe
The view offers a great half-panorama of Mount Fuji, and the room I got through Ctrip had a prime location. The onsen quality is average, and the bedding is a bit rough and unremarkable
Compared to the exquisite gardens in Kyoto and Nara, it's a bit less refined, but it's a different style, so it's not really a fair comparison. It really depends on personal preference

Be sure to check the bus schedule at the entrance beforehand, otherwise, it's nearly a 20-minute walk to Kawaguchiko Station
The room is a Japanese-style tatami, and there's a hot spring right on the first floor, located by Lake Kawaguchiko
Dining at night can be a bit of a hassle; if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you'll need to walk about ten minutes to an izakaya
The hotel is old but clean and comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom amenities are still traditional
If you don't have a car, make sure you have everything you need, as it's a long walk to find the nearest restaurant and shops. We have a nice kawaguchiko lake view from the room
Location is good the room also clean. Onsen quite small and they allow tattoo person go in. The hot water cannot work properly and at the mid night the water totally stop working.

If you're planning to visit Lake Kawaguchiko, Fuji-Q Highland, or the Golden Torii, make sure to ask the hotel to call you a taxi. Otherwise, it's really hard to find one, as taxis are quite scarce there
Room 468 had a pretty good view of Mount Fuji from the window. I stayed in room 468 in the main building, which has four floors
The room was standard; I could open a 24-inch suitcase by the door, and a 28-inch suitcase could open halfway. I didn't visit the hot spring bath on the first floor, so I can't comment on it
Still, you could definitely see the mountainscape. Unfortunately, it snowed the day I left, but luckily, I managed to catch a glimpse of the mountain on the day I checked in. Otherwise, it would have been a real shame
I booked a mountain view room, and it indeed had a small balcony. As soon as you opened it, you could see Mount Fuji, although there was another building partially obstructing the view
The hygiene and service were excellent. Their hot springs are very clean and quiet, which I absolutely loved, especially with the stunning Mount Fuji backdrop.

Facilities: I stayed here in 2018, and this time around, it feels pretty much the same, very well-maintained. Dinner: There's a wide variety of food, more than you can possibly eat
The only downside is that the sukiyaki beef has been replaced with pork, which isn't as good. Everything else is fine though
The views were definitely worth it, and the value for money was pretty good. There weren't many facilities, just a single ping-pong table, so evenings were a bit dull. Dinner and breakfast offered good value
I believe this is the hotel with best view of Mt. The view from the room is amazing. Breakfast and dinner (half-board) are rich and sumptuous. No wonder this hotel is so hard to book, we were very lucky to be there
This was our second times here,we love the hotel location so much. But we thought that the dinner was a bit disappointing for this trip. I love the September 2025 dinner more than this latest staying .
I upgraded from a regular 3200 JPY Japanese-style room to a hot spring room for only 700 JPY more (including tax) within a week – the experience was completely different! On top of that, I got to see Mount Fuji on a clear, cloudless day the next morning

I feel a bit pricey may due to Onsen facilities & its location that’s just across the lake. Good location, room is nice comfy clean & spacious. Good breakfast, staff are very friendly & helpful
Room was super nice and have the lake view. Location was super good for walking along the lake plus taking cable car. Dinner was so so but they offered us a compliment wine, it was a surprise
We got a room with no view, but was surprised to see Fujisan the next morning outside our window when the sky is clear. Got ourself with the dinner and breakfast package, and was fed till full
The hotel is located in front of the Lake Kawaguchiko. And we can see the lake from our room. Besides, it is near to the cable car and ferry point, as well as the bus station
Souvenir shop had many offerings. Only drawback was the onsen at basement was a bit strange at nite
We loved the service and had a fantastic stay here. The food was authentic and tasty, and we appreciate the shuttle bus to and fro Kawaguchiko station

The hotel offers a shuttle service to Kawaguchiko Station. You can call them for pickup, and there's a scheduled morning shuttle for drop-off. Fuji view is absolutely amazing
It's very Japanese in style, incredibly clean, and perfect for couples or families. The room partitioning is excellent too
While you're at dinner, they even prepare your futon for you, making it super convenient to go to sleep – such thoughtful service! The hotel also offers several shuttle bus trips daily
The hotel is traditional Japanese style, clean, personalised service, English speaking staff, decent set breakfast and dinner, beautiful kimono for ladies and the temperature of onsen is just perfect during winter weather
Fantastic experience! The dining, accommodation, and hot springs were all top-notch. I definitely made the right choice picking this hotel
Everything is good . The wifi network is very poor . The bedding need more padding. Too thin.

The room was massive, the lake view was stunning, and it was spotlessly clean. The service was incredibly warm and welcoming. We were very satisfied with the hotel, it offers excellent value for money.
Extraordinary service and staff are so helpful. The room is spacious and can see a lake view. Hotel provide free shuttle bus to station. Dinner and breakfast are buffet and food is good
A traditional Japanese-style hotel with an amazing location right by Lake Kawaguchi. Many rooms and the onsen offer beautiful views of Mount Fuji, creating a very relaxing atmosphere
The hotel arranged a very spacious room for me. The buffet dinner was incredibly rich and delicious, and there were free snacks and drinks in the lobby. It was also lovely to relax in the lobby during afternoon tea
The rooms feel slightly dated compared to newer resorts, but they are clean and more spacious than typical Japanese hotel rooms. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful onsen stay with iconic Mount Fuji scenery
Although this hotel is on the pricier side, the overall experience was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a station for the Fuji Lake sightseeing bus, making it easy to get around

Stunning views of Mount Fuji, with plenty of parking available. The staff are friendly, the onsen is excellent, and it was an overall enjoyable stay.

A charming hotel by Lake Kawaguchiko, with Mount Fuji as its backdrop. The observatory and hot springs on the attic offer glimpses of the mountain at dawn and dusk
A really lovely stay. Polite and helpful reception . Free underground parking. Great location.
This old-money style hotel exceeded my expectations. It's been graced by royalty twice and other noble celebrities have stayed here as well. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, with Mount Fuji visible when you look up
The hotel is quite old, and you can definitely see the historical grandeur from when the Emperor stayed there
There isn't much in terms of service, and the facilities are a bit dated with no restaurant, but the location is excellent
We selected a tatami style room for 4 and it was just the right size, however do note that suitcases are only allowed at the entrance platform of the room and not into the tatami bit due to the nature of the flooring

The water temperature was perfect, keeping me warm in winter. I took a dip once at night and again in the early morning; the views were completely different. At night, it was all about quietly waiting for fireworks
Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup
An Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out
But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan. The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much
In winter, the indoor heating plus the hot spring water just elevated the feeling of bliss. The in-room hot spring experience (definitely a bonus!) was amazing
Our family enjoyed our stay. The free upgrade was a very nice surprise! We will definitely come back here again.

Very Japanese style, breakfast is also unique, very suitable for a single travel choice
This is a really old hotel, so it got that distinctive 'old house smell' which may not be pleasing to some people but its alright to us. The hotel got a special vintage vibe to it which we enjoyed throughout our stay
There is a parking lot next to the hotel for free. Breakfast and dinner are very delicious. The roast beef for dinner is delicious. The mixed vegetable noodles and black bean soup are very fresh and delicious
The shrimp and tuna are also fresh. The tofu and eggs for breakfast are delicious. The salmon and salmon are also delicious, and the hot springs are OK. This hotel definitely exceeds 4 points
Japanese tatami room, the room is large, the mattress is very comfortable, but the wash basin is right at the door, the space is very small

It was our first time at an Onsen, and the staff explained the procedure and etiquette
Nice and clean room, tiny but full functioned. A lot of caring details and a full of options tasty breakfast. Didn’t choose to dine at the hotel but I would love to. Very nice Onsen with views of Mt
The included dinner was fantastic and our server Shobha was the best! She taught us some Japanese phrases and remembered us by name throughout our stay. All around, we were exceptionally pleased
