4 star hotels in Fujikawaguchiko

Great service! Dinner and breakfast were deliciously good!!! Will come back again!

The location isn't the most convenient, but the hotel offers a shuttle bus service, though with limited hours. It would be more convenient if you're driving, as there's plenty of parking available. The room was spacious with a great view of Lake Kawaguchiko. You can even see Mount Fuji from the observation deck upstairs. The front desk staff speak English, which was helpful for communication. Breakfast...

Bus stop located right in front of the hotel entrance however with very little frequency. Hotel does provide free shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station.

This hotel isn't bad overall, but for the price, you could probably find something better!

The staff were very polite, and the transportation was convenient with a dedicated shuttle service. The food was different both nights and tasted great! I'll definitely come back again.

Good experience of traditional Japanese tatami living. Food serving was good and interesting experience. Onsen is good and clean.

Not a bad hotel after all. All the basic is there and is somewhat clean. Location is good. Bus stop is just right infront of the hotel easy. Nice view too

The room offers a direct view of Mount Fuji the moment you open the window. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. The room itself is a bit small, and the bathroom entrance has a raised threshold, so be careful when going in and out. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally tripped.

Need to call from Kawaguchiko Station for free shuttle pick up. Go to the Tourist Information Center to ask to call for you or there is a public phone at the station cost 10 yen per min. Free shuttle to the station as well. Yukata, toiletries are all self service at every floor in front of the lifts. This hotel has hot spring. Drinking water can be refilled at the ground floor beside the hot...

Great value for money. It's just over 900 meters from Kawaguchiko Station, and you can contact the front desk for pick-up and drop-off when you arrive or depart (they have staff who speak Chinese). The mountain-view rooms offer a view of Mount Fuji from one side of the window. The breakfast was also very good, and the shuttle bus driver, Sam, and other staff provided excellent and attentive service

I was lost in snow when finding the hotel entrance using Google navigation, luckily I met a nice and friendly resident who helped me to ask and fetched me to hotel. This was my first try on tatami style hotel, nice experience.

10mins walk to Kawaguchiko station. Getting the shuttle bus was troublesome, I’d rather walk. Onsen was a great touch, worth trying if you are not visiting a full-fledged onsen. Room was clean and comfortable. Yukata, comb, razor provided.

Pros: 1. The room was huge! 2. You get a full view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony window. 3. The staff were super friendly, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff members. 4. The hot springs on the fifth floor have both indoor and outdoor options. You can enjoy the views of Mount Fuji while you soak. 5. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were surprisingly delicious, and there was...

This place is highly recommended if you're just looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. However, it's not very convenient for independent travelers. There are no shops, no taxis, and no bicycles. Buses are also infrequent, making it really difficult to get around. The only upside is waking up to a view of Mount Fuji from your room. I'd suggest staying in the city; you can still see Mount Fuji from...

This price point is an incredible value! I booked it for just over 1000, which included breakfast and dinner, plus a balcony room. The hotel only has balcony rooms on the sixth floor, so there aren't many. The view is absolutely stunning; you can see Mount Fuji right from your bed!

The room was a bit small, but the location was great. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good that day, so I couldn't see Mount Fuji. Since it was raining, we went to the nearby Music Box Forest Museum instead, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

The room had a great view, though it was cloudy so we couldn't see Mount Fuji. The outdoor onsen was decent too. Plus, the free shuttle service in the morning to Kawaguchiko bus station was a nice bonus!

The view from my room was amazing Staff is very polite and warm Hotel is located at a beautiful location on the lake with Fujisan view

Loved it! The only downside was that our pick-up got delayed due to heavy snow, and they couldn't pick us up after 6 PM. We stood outside in sub-zero temperatures for half an hour, and had to pay 6,000 yen for a private car. Other than that, the scenery, environment, and hot springs were fantastic. The complimentary drinks available at all times and the ramen served in the evening were very thoughtful...

The most amazing stay of our life. We walked from the station to the hotel. Woke up to a clear view of Mt. Fuji and the hotel was more than amazing in everything. We regret staying only 1 night. The price was worth it, the food is very delicious and the onsen just wow.

The service was great! The view is amazing. The only minor drawback was that the breakfast was exactly the same for both days. We went down at 7 AM and were seated by a window overlooking Mount Fuji, which was lovely! You can see beautiful Mount Fuji right from your room; I didn't even want to go out exploring. I just wanted to relax on the balcony or in the bathtub and enjoy the view! They also offer...

Super nice location and view from the hotel room!! The onsen in the room has a super stunning view!!

I read quite a few reviews for this hotel, and many mentioned it was old, inconveniently located, and geared towards domestic travelers, so I didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The room furnishings were a bit dated, but not dirty or rundown; they were actually very comfortable. Although the weather turned cloudy after I checked in, I still managed to...

The ambiance, food, and service were all excellent. I was very satisfied and will definitely be back.

Magnificent. Owners are soft spoken and polite, rarely seen but appear immediately when summoned by the bell at reception. Immaculate location with a beautiful rooftop terrace view of Fuji. Free drinks and snacks at all times. Free bikes to use during your stay there and of a very high quality. This is the very best deal in town.

This is a 150years old hotel. But it is well cared and the view from the room is stunning! The fuji just in your face! 😆

Good Fuji scenic view from room window. Free onsen with good facilities.

Staff were amazing, the hotel, room and garden immaculate with the food from the restaurant and experience to have. Bonus was a large smoking room with a view of Mt Fuji

I had an amazing stay at Fuji Guesthouse - staff were so helpful and attentive and gave me all the information I needed for the area and to climb Mount Fuji. The bikes are free to hire so had a great cycle around the lake too. The rooftop was a lovely place to chill with an amazing view of Fuji. It was less social than other places but good for downtime. Would highly recommend.

After years of traveling, I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. First, The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. The gentleman was very kind and allowed me to check in early at no cost, and the lady, seeing that I was having trouble with the bike stand, explained everything to me, both in very good English. Second, The accommodation is less than 10 minutes walk...

The hotel offers a delightful view of Mount Fuji from the window, with no blind spots. However, the room was smaller than expected, making it difficult to fully open a suitcase. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious; I'd consider staying here again just for the food. The onsen experience was just okay, and you need to bring your own towel as none are provided. There were drones flying around...

Facilities: It's an old hotel, but it has everything you need. Dinner was good, and breakfast was typical buffet quality. Cleanliness: The room had a strong odor, like body odor or perhaps an old wooden smell. Environment: The view of Mount Fuji from the window was absolutely superb. Service: The private onsen was nice, I just didn't manage to book it for the morning. However, the public onsen was...

Excellent service, convenient location, and shuttle bus available.

If you can't book a bath at this popular hotel, don't come. The location is great, the dinner is average, the service is stiff, and it's not worth the price.

This is the second time staying here. You can contact the hotel for pick-up at Hekou Lake Station. The semi-buffet dinner was rich and surprising, the staff were warm and polite, and the toilet was updated compared to before and had a drying function (≧ω≦)/I will come again next time.

Except that the price is a bit expensive, the location and view are first-class. I am very satisfied and the dinner is also very good.

Overbearing staff, No choice for food? for a hotel like this would not be expected to eat what they decide but at least have some choice. Location and the hotel itself was nice but for the price I wouldn't stay again.

We had a stunning view of Mt Fuji from our room and from our dinner / breakfast seating. Every detail was thoughtfully curated for the best guest experience possible. The meals were included in our booking, onsen was amazing, just lovely all around.

Room: You can see Mount Fuji, and the room is fully equipped, even with an indoor fireplace. All the fragrances are pine-scented. View: The garden is quite small, with a camping-style vibe. Compared to the exquisite gardens in Kyoto and Nara, it's a bit less refined, but it's a different style, so it's not really a fair comparison. It really depends on personal preference. Location: It's about a 1...

Nothing to complaint, love it!!!

When I checked into Konohana, it was very foggy and snowing, so I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't see Mount Fuji. It wasn't until around 8 AM the next day that Mount Fuji started to appear, but it was truly magnificent! Both dinner and breakfast were Japanese style and quite good, and their service was excellent!

Every staff at the hotel was exceptionally warm and friendly. The meals were also perfect. We enjoyed both the public onsen and the in-room hot spring—both were wonderful experiences. The only area that could potentially be improved is the selection of bedding and amenities, as they could be more refined.

Extraordinary service and staff are so helpful. The room is spacious and can see a lake view. Hotel provide free shuttle bus to station. Dinner and breakfast are buffet and food is good

A traditional Japanese-style hotel with an amazing location right by Lake Kawaguchi. Many rooms and the onsen offer beautiful views of Mount Fuji, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The biggest highlights are the stunning Fuji view, good breakfast/dinner buffet, helpful staff, and convenient shuttle service from the station. The rooms feel slightly dated compared to newer resorts, but they are clean...

The service was incredibly attentive. Even though our room didn't face Mount Fuji, the lake view was still breathtaking. And the huge glass window at breakfast offered a stunning, close-up view of Mount Fuji – absolutely gorgeous!

I was very satisfied with this hotel. From the welcome to check-in and the room facilities introduction, everything was handled excellently. We just relaxed on the sofa, and our luggage was sent directly to the room! The lobby thoughtfully provided tea, coffee, and snacks. The room was just as large and spacious as shown in the pictures. Although we had to change rooms due to availability issues, they...

Great accommodation for Mt Fuji viewing. Get the dinner and breakfast included. Dinner spread is excellent to sample all sorts of Japanese cuisine. In room onsen is amazing experience.

Although this hotel is on the pricier side, the overall experience was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a station for the Fuji Lake sightseeing bus, making it easy to get around. It's also close to the Lake Kawaguchiko boat pier and ropeway entrance. The lake views from the room were superb, and while the view of Mount Fuji wasn't the absolute best, it was still quite close...

My partner and I had the loveliest stay at Ooike Hotel. From the moment we stepped in, Staff was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was our first time at an Onsen, and the staff explained the procedure and etiquette. My partner has tattoos, and we were excited to be able to use both the public baths and the private, which we booked for a small extra fee. The included...

Nice and clean room, tiny but full functioned. A lot of caring details and a full of options tasty breakfast. Didn’t choose to dine at the hotel but I would love to. Very nice Onsen with views of Mt. Fuji. Good parking area and easy access to some nice spots for sunrise viewings. I will come back next time if I managed to book earlier for the Fuji view room.

We loved the lobby area for guests, the availability of snacks and drinks, and the onsen, which was wonderful with an outstanding mountain view. The second onsen was outdoors and truly magical. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options. The lobby ambience was also wonderful. Unfortunately, we did not like our room. It was extremely cold, and to make it warmer we had to turn on the...

Rooms look less luxurious than the pictures, but still quite comfortable. The hotel structure is modern and good looking and the staff is kind and helpful. I do recommend. The view to Fuji is worth it, but if you cannot afford it, it is a short walk to Lake Kawaguchi to have the unique view.

Very good place to stay with view on Fuji san Delicious breakfast Onsen very relaxing Best service

First of all, all the staff are extremely kind and very efficient. Always ready to welcome you with a warm smile! The hotel is pretty nice, the free drinks area situated on the first floor is a nice perk! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

I forgot to leave a review here because the trip was so hectic but this hotel was super nice. We had a view facing the lake and it was beautiful in the morning. The food was plentiful and delicious, although some of my friends were put off by the more adventurous items haha. Also the service is so great. Our rental car’s battery died, and they helped us get up and running with one of their staff member...

I don’t usually spring for this kind of luxury but this was a special trip for us. No regrets! Excellent food (honestly we had a hard time finishing everything, the portions are generous). Stayed in one of the lake view rooms with the tatami and Japanese style bedding, which was lovely. Recommend booking the private onsen; the view of Mt Fuji is worth it alone. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

We stayed here for three days and two nights, and we were very satisfied with our experience. It truly felt like a five-star hotel. From the front desk service to the hotel facilities and the quality of the food, everything was excellent and well taken care of. The staff were friendly and professional, and the overall stay was very comfortable. We only have one small suggestion — it would be great...

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Our dinner host Miki was also lovely and very warm to our daughter! The onsen was a gem and so relaxing and very clean. Never felt too busy and you can book the private bath too. The open air was great! We also enjoyed the rooftop foot bath with a view of mt Fuji! The Kaiseki dinner course was definitely a highlight...

The entire experience with this hotel from beginning to end was phenomenal. The attention to detail, mesmerizing views, impeccable rooms, and multitude of amenities contributed to what I can only describe as a once in a lifetime moment. Enjoying the rooftop foot bath while watching the sunset next to Fuji will forever hold a place in my heart. The beautifully crafted personal hot baths allowed for...

Great view from the room. Very well maintained facilities and thoughtful staff. Clean and well stocked bath houses. Enjoyed the hot spring in our room with the view of Fuji.

This boutique hotel is a gem! The room is spacious with great view to Mt. Fuji. There's lots to explore in the hotel, which adds fun to the stay. The paintings and antique furnitures build up a nice cozy atomosphere and makes you slow the pace and just appreciate each piece of work work, and thus enjoy the moment. Lots of praises for the staff! Their service is amazing. The full French course is delicious...

Our Mizno Hotel experience was wonderful. The room was ideal with a jaw-dropping view of Mt Fuji. In addition, there was a spectacular fireworks display on the night we stayed. It was unforgettable! The morning breakfast was a special treat of Japanese delicacies. It provided a great start to our day. We will always remember our stay at Mizno Hotel and hope to return again!

The hotel offers free electric-assist bicycles right at the entrance, making it super easy to cycle around Lake Kawaguchiko. The private open-air bath on the top floor requires on-site booking, and I highly recommend reserving the 4-5 PM slots to catch the sunset.

This was truly one of the most memorable and romantic hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel has a beautifully unique charm, and the view overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko with Mount Fuji in the background was absolutely breath taking especially in the early morning and at sunset. It felt peaceful, magical, and incredibly special. Having a private onsen was such a highlight, allowing us to relax together...

We had an absolutely incredible experience staying at this hotel. First of all, I would like to highlight the staff: everyone was extremely attentive, kind, and truly professional!!!💪🏻 We stayed in two different rooms: one in a traditional Japanese style, and the other with a Western-style bed and a balcony. Both rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly maintained! We also want to specially...

Sensational hotel. Incredible view of Mt Fuji from the balcony and onsen. Rooms were spacious and clean with many amenities. Service was great and staff were helpful and friendly. The dinner package they had was shabu shabu and was delicious. They provide free shuttle to and from kawaguchico station which was very helpful. Plus their public onsen is tattoo friendly!

The email correspondence is not good, but when you arrive there, everyone is so amazing and extra friendly! There was a free pick up from the station and then daily shuttles in the morning. It was perfect for us. Expensive but excellent service. Breakfast was super amazing!

Enjoyed our stay at Fuji Onsenji Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the onsen was very good and relaxing. Breakfast was a highlight felt like a private omakase experience, beautifully prepared and delicious. The only downside is the location, which is a bit less convenient, but overall a pleasant and memorable stay.

["Staying at Yumekadan with the kids was so worth it! The environment is absolutely stunning, and the open-air bath offers views of Mount Fuji. The cleanliness and facilities are top-notch, and our family of three had a super comfortable stay. The slightly slower service didn't bother us at all!","Our family of three checked into this onsen hotel, and the surroundings were incredible. The open-air...

The room is nice. But It used to be more impressive when we stayed at this ryokan 5-6 years ago. Somehow we felt like their service dropped significantly. Everything are more strict for example daily cleaning time is 11.00 -11.30 only and cannot be postpone. Check out time is 11.00 and then we decide to chill a bit at the lobby before leaving ( around 11.20 ) they politely asked us to leave by...

The Japanese-style room was very spacious and comfortable, and it even came with a small private onsen. The housekeeper was very welcoming during the day. However, since we checked in late, all the staff had already left, leaving only a security guard to handle our check-in, and there was no one to greet us.

I really loved it here and would definitely come back if I get the chance. It's incredibly quiet, almost as if there are only 11 rooms in the whole hotel. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and each room is assigned a private breakfast room. The staff are super warm and patient. Plus, there's free alcohol and Starbucks coffee in the hotel lounge area. Just a heads-up, many hotels in Japan charge...

Very clean and spacious. Excellent outside onsen and great facilities. 5/5

The room is very spacious, ideal for multiple families or groups, and includes a stovetop and rice cooker for self-catering. The facilities look a bit old, but they are of good quality, well-maintained, and very clean. There are several convenience stores and many restaurants nearby, with ample parking. BBQ reservations are available. The room features a private outdoor hot spring bath area, a wonderful...

very nice place, from people to the cottage.

The owner was warm and welcoming, and the service was enthusiastic. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, and the rooms have private outdoor hot springs, which is fantastic. It's also conveniently located near a bus stop and a convenience store.

Awesome stay with family for 2 nights in fujikawaguchiko

Excellent Japanese-style cottages. If you're here to see Mount Fuji, this is the place to stay. It's not your typical hotel.
