Great service! Dinner and breakfast were deliciously good!!! Will come back again!
The location isn't the most convenient, but the hotel offers a shuttle bus service, though with limited hours. It would be more convenient if you're driving, as there's plenty of parking available. The room was spacious with a great view of Lake Kawaguchiko. You can even see Mount Fuji from the observation deck upstairs.
The front desk staff speak English, which was helpful for communication. Breakfast...
Bus stop located right in front of the hotel entrance however with very little frequency. Hotel does provide free shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station.
This hotel isn't bad overall, but for the price, you could probably find something better!
The staff were very polite, and the transportation was convenient with a dedicated shuttle service. The food was different both nights and tasted great! I'll definitely come back again.
Good experience of traditional Japanese tatami living. Food serving was good and interesting experience. Onsen is good and clean.

Not a bad hotel after all. All the basic is there and is somewhat clean. Location is good. Bus stop is just right infront of the hotel easy. Nice view too
The room offers a direct view of Mount Fuji the moment you open the window. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. The room itself is a bit small, and the bathroom entrance has a raised threshold, so be careful when going in and out. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally tripped.
Need to call from Kawaguchiko Station for free shuttle pick up. Go to the Tourist Information Center to ask to call for you or there is a public phone at the station cost 10 yen per min. Free shuttle to the station as well.
Yukata, toiletries are all self service at every floor in front of the lifts.

Great value for money. It's just over 900 meters from Kawaguchiko Station, and you can contact the front desk for pick-up and drop-off when you arrive or depart (they have staff who speak Chinese). The mountain-view rooms offer a view of Mount Fuji from one side of the window. The breakfast was also very good, and the shuttle bus driver, Sam, and other staff provided excellent and attentive service
I was lost in snow when finding the hotel entrance using Google navigation, luckily I met a nice and friendly resident who helped me to ask and fetched me to hotel.
This was my first try on tatami style hotel, nice experience.
10mins walk to Kawaguchiko station. Getting the shuttle bus was troublesome, I’d rather walk. Onsen was a great touch, worth trying if you are not visiting a full-fledged onsen. Room was clean and comfortable. Yukata, comb, razor provided.

Pros:
1. The room was huge!
2. You get a full view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony window.
3. The staff were super friendly, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff members.
4. The hot springs on the fifth floor have both indoor and outdoor options. You can enjoy the views of Mount Fuji while you soak.
5. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were surprisingly delicious, and there was...
This place is highly recommended if you're just looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. However, it's not very convenient for independent travelers. There are no shops, no taxis, and no bicycles. Buses are also infrequent, making it really difficult to get around. The only upside is waking up to a view of Mount Fuji from your room. I'd suggest staying in the city; you can still see Mount Fuji from...
This price point is an incredible value! I booked it for just over 1000, which included breakfast and dinner, plus a balcony room. The hotel only has balcony rooms on the sixth floor, so there aren't many. The view is absolutely stunning; you can see Mount Fuji right from your bed!
The room was a bit small, but the location was great. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good that day, so I couldn't see Mount Fuji. Since it was raining, we went to the nearby Music Box Forest Museum instead, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
The room had a great view, though it was cloudy so we couldn't see Mount Fuji. The outdoor onsen was decent too. Plus, the free shuttle service in the morning to Kawaguchiko bus station was a nice bonus!

Nice hotel, can see Mt Fuji just at the room window, great view. Can also see Mt Fuji when you go for onsen from the hotel.
The room is a comfortable size and offers a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the corner. It is clean and well equipped, with individual air-conditioning in the room. All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. Parking is available, located a short distance from the hotel.
Hotel a little dated. Breakfast meet expectations. I had a room facing mt fuji. Nice view.
This is a great onsen hotel right by the lake. You can see Mount Fuji directly from the breakfast restaurant, and the staff are very warm and attentive, patiently answering guests' questions. The hot springs are also excellent!
Location is good. Remember to stay in a room with view to the Fuji Mt and the Lake. Early morning you will see the nice view in front of your room window. Cleanliness is ok. Breakfast don’t have too much choice but have the is ok, acceptable.
This hotel might be the best value for money by the lake. It's directly facing Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mount Fuji is right to the left, so you can enjoy beautiful views without even leaving the hotel. The breakfast buffet is incredibly rich and the hotel service is excellent. Highly recommended!

Loved it! The only downside was that our pick-up got delayed due to heavy snow, and they couldn't pick us up after 6 PM. We stood outside in sub-zero temperatures for half an hour, and had to pay 6,000 yen for a private car. Other than that, the scenery, environment, and hot springs were fantastic. The complimentary drinks available at all times and the ramen served in the evening were very thoughtful...
The most amazing stay of our life. We walked from the station to the hotel. Woke up to a clear view of Mt. Fuji and the hotel was more than amazing in everything. We regret staying only 1 night. The price was worth it, the food is very delicious and the onsen just wow.
The service was great! The view is amazing. The only minor drawback was that the breakfast was exactly the same for both days. We went down at 7 AM and were seated by a window overlooking Mount Fuji, which was lovely! You can see beautiful Mount Fuji right from your room; I didn't even want to go out exploring. I just wanted to relax on the balcony or in the bathtub and enjoy the view! They also offer...
Super nice location and view from the hotel room!! The onsen in the room has a super stunning view!!
I read quite a few reviews for this hotel, and many mentioned it was old, inconveniently located, and geared towards domestic travelers, so I didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The room furnishings were a bit dated, but not dirty or rundown; they were actually very comfortable. Magnificent. Owners are soft spoken and polite, rarely seen but appear immediately when summoned by the bell at reception.
Immaculate location with a beautiful rooftop terrace view of Fuji. Free drinks and snacks at all times.
Free bikes to use during your stay there and of a very high quality.
This is the very best deal in town.
This is a 150years old hotel. But it is well cared and the view from the room is stunning! The fuji just in your face! 😆
Good Fuji scenic view from room window. Free onsen with good facilities.
Staff were amazing, the hotel, room and garden immaculate with the food from the restaurant and experience to have.
Bonus was a large smoking room with a view of Mt Fuji
I had an amazing stay at Fuji Guesthouse - staff were so helpful and attentive and gave me all the information I needed for the area and to climb Mount Fuji. The bikes are free to hire so had a great cycle around the lake too. The rooftop was a lovely place to chill with an amazing view of Fuji. It was less social than other places but good for downtime. Would highly recommend.
After years of traveling, I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
First, The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. The gentleman was very kind and allowed me to check in early at no cost, and the lady, seeing that I was having trouble with the bike stand, explained everything to me, both in very good English.
Second, The accommodation is less than 10 minutes walk...

Beautiful and clean ryokan style hotel! Staffs were friendly and kind. Always smiling and ever ready to help. Requested for room vacuum and they came immediately. The onsen was nice too but the water wasn’t hot enough for me. Room was a little small and plugs were quite limited but the view from our room, restaurant, and the observation was stunning.
The kaiseki dinner was amazing too!
Booked a Mt Fuji View room and it was incredible! We had an awesome day of blue sky’s and clear views and loved being able to soak it up from our room. Gluten Free breakfast is also available at the hotel. They have an allergens list of the foods.
We stayed in a Japanese-style room facing Mt. Fuji – the best of both worlds! Breakfast offers a choice of Japanese or Western (or both) buffets, all with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The hotel isn’t modern, but it’s clean, tidy, and well-organized. Facilities include Toto toilets, relaxing onsen baths (note: no tattoos allowed), deep soaking tubs, a koi pond, wine bar, souvenir shop, coin laundry,...
Fuji View Hotel is an older style hotel a little outside the station area (about 10 minutes by shuttle bus). A regular courtesy shuttle is provided for guests between the station and the hotel. The hotel offers a delightful view of Mount Fuji from the window, with no blind spots. However, the room was smaller than expected, making it difficult to fully open a suitcase.
The breakfast and dinner were both delicious; I'd consider staying here again just for the food.
The onsen experience was just okay, and you need to bring your own towel as none are provided.
There were drones flying around...
Facilities: It's an old hotel, but it has everything you need. Dinner was good, and breakfast was typical buffet quality.
Cleanliness: The room had a strong odor, like body odor or perhaps an old wooden smell.
Environment: The view of Mount Fuji from the window was absolutely superb.
Service: The private onsen was nice, I just didn't manage to book it for the morning. However, the public onsen was...
Excellent service, convenient location, and shuttle bus available.
If you can't book a bath at this popular hotel, don't come. The location is great, the dinner is average, the service is stiff, and it's not worth the price.
This is the second time staying here. You can contact the hotel for pick-up at Hekou Lake Station. The semi-buffet dinner was rich and surprising, the staff were warm and polite, and the toilet was updated compared to before and had a drying function (≧ω≦)/I will come again next time.
Except that the price is a bit expensive, the location and view are first-class. I am very satisfied and the dinner is also very good.

If you have a car, this hotel is very good. I have good dinner and breakfast here.
Clean and spacious.
It is open air onsen and nice buffet dinner and breakfast.
First time taking in Japanese style room.
Shortage: TV is old version and not smart TV, cannot play YouTube.
Public transport might hard to reach this hotel.
It is friendly to road trip traveler
Nice hotel. They have shuttle service from Kawaguchiko station. So it’s very convenient.
We are a families of 4 and the room type available required us to book 2 rooms which is ok. Hotel price is very reasonable with good onsen and delicious spread of food. We liked this hotel so much that we stayed 3 nights. Have a walk around the hotel and go lake motosu for the breathtaking view of the scenery

Overbearing staff, No choice for food? for a hotel like this would not be expected to eat what they decide but at least have some choice. Location and the hotel itself was nice but for the price I wouldn't stay again.
We had a stunning view of Mt Fuji from our room and from our dinner / breakfast seating. Every detail was thoughtfully curated for the best guest experience possible. The meals were included in our booking, onsen was amazing, just lovely all around.
Room: You can see Mount Fuji, and the room is fully equipped, even with an indoor fireplace. All the fragrances are pine-scented.
View: The garden is quite small, with a camping-style vibe. Compared to the exquisite gardens in Kyoto and Nara, it's a bit less refined, but it's a different style, so it's not really a fair comparison. It really depends on personal preference.
Location: It's about a 1...
Nothing to complaint, love it!!!
When I checked into Konohana, it was very foggy and snowing, so I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't see Mount Fuji. It wasn't until around 8 AM the next day that Mount Fuji started to appear, but it was truly magnificent! Both dinner and breakfast were Japanese style and quite good, and their service was excellent!
Every staff at the hotel was exceptionally warm and friendly.
The meals were also perfect.
We enjoyed both the public onsen and the in-room hot spring—both were wonderful experiences. The only area that could potentially be improved is the selection of bedding and amenities, as they could be more refined.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. We chose a room with windows, and the hotel gave us a corner room, so the front window offered a perfect view of Lake Kawaguchiko, and the side window overlooked Mount Fuji. The hotel also has free hot spring baths, which was a nice bonus. We also booked breakfast and dinner, and they were quite good!
Love everything about the hotel except the dinner n breakfast. Do not like the pre-determined meal at all. No options and ended up nothing suits my kids n myself. Would have enjoy Mount Fuji lake Kawaguchiko more if i were to go for no meals included.
The hotel is old but clean and comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom amenities are still traditional. If you don't have a car, make sure you have everything you need, as it's a long walk to find the nearest restaurant and shops. We have a nice kawaguchiko lake view from the room.
Location is good the room also clean.
Onsen quite small and they allow tattoo person go in.
The hot water cannot work properly and at the mid night the water totally stop working.
The breakfast ad hot spring were worth it.
Yukata is available for hotel guests.
The room is a Japanese-style tatami, and there's a hot spring right on the first floor, located by Lake Kawaguchiko. Dining at night can be a bit of a hassle; if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you'll need to walk about ten minutes to an izakaya. Room 468 had a pretty good view of Mount Fuji from the window.
I stayed in room 468 in the main building, which has four floors. The room was standard; I could open a 24-inch suitcase by the door, and a 28-inch suitcase could open halfway. The bathroom had a bathtub. I didn't visit the hot spring bath on the first floor, so I can't comment on it. There's a convenience store about 200 meters from the...
I booked a mountain view room, and it indeed had a small balcony. As soon as you opened it, you could see Mount Fuji, although there was another building partially obstructing the view. Still, you could definitely see the mountainscape. Unfortunately, it snowed the day I left, but luckily, I managed to catch a glimpse of the mountain on the day I checked in. Otherwise, it would have been a real shame
The hygiene and service were excellent. Their hot springs are very clean and quiet, which I absolutely loved, especially with the stunning Mount Fuji backdrop.
It's decent. There are plenty of dining options at the nearby mall, but it's a bit far from the subway.
Although the rooms in your hotel aren't big, the accommodation environment is decent. There's a supermarket just a short walk from the hotel entrance. If you're planning to visit Lake Kawaguchiko, Fuji-Q Highland, or the Golden Torii, make sure to ask the hotel to call you a taxi. This was our second times here,we love the hotel location so much. But we thought that the dinner was a bit disappointing for this trip. I love the September 2025 dinner more than this latest staying .
Great hotel and facilities. Nice location to see Fuji mt. Friendly and polite staff.
Facilities: I stayed here in 2018, and this time around, it feels pretty much the same, very well-maintained. Dinner: There's a wide variety of food, more than you can possibly eat. The only downside is that the sukiyaki beef has been replaced with pork, which isn't as good. Everything else is fine though.
The views were definitely worth it, and the value for money was pretty good. There weren't many facilities, just a single ping-pong table, so evenings were a bit dull. Dinner and breakfast offered good value. A convenience store was missing. The 10 AM check-out was too early and felt rushed.
I managed to book a hot spring room that someone else had canceled. It's essential to leave your booking info on their official website; they'll send you an email alert when a room becomes available. Room was super nice and have the lake view. Location was super good for walking along the lake plus taking cable car. Dinner was so so but they offered us a compliment wine, it was a surprise. Souvenir shop had many offerings. Only drawback was the onsen at basement was a bit strange at nite.
We loved the service and had a fantastic stay here. The food was authentic and tasty, and we appreciate the shuttle bus to and fro Kawaguchiko station. The hotel even kindly offered to store our luggages for a couple of hours after we checked out.
We got a room with no view, but was surprised to see Fujisan the next morning outside our window when the sky is clear. Got ourself with the dinner and breakfast package, and was fed till full. Didn’t have time to try to onset this round but would definitely be back for my next trip.

The hotel is located in front of the Lake Kawaguchiko. And we can see the lake from our room. Besides, it is near to the cable car and ferry point, as well as the bus station. We have a decent dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Overall, it is a wonderful stay in this hotel.
The hotel environment was quite clean. Upon arrival, a staff member led us to our room and thoroughly explained all the facilities. Once you reach Kawaguchiko Station, you can ask the tourist information center staff to call the hotel for a shuttle bus pick-up. Extraordinary service and staff are so helpful. The room is spacious and can see a lake view. Hotel provide free shuttle bus to station. Dinner and breakfast are buffet and food is good
A traditional Japanese-style hotel with an amazing location right by Lake Kawaguchi. Many rooms and the onsen offer beautiful views of Mount Fuji, creating a very relaxing atmosphere.

The service was incredibly attentive. Even though our room didn't face Mount Fuji, the lake view was still breathtaking. And the huge glass window at breakfast offered a stunning, close-up view of Mount Fuji – absolutely gorgeous!

A really lovely stay. Polite and helpful reception . Free underground parking. Great location.
The hotel is quite old, and you can definitely see the historical grandeur from when the Emperor stayed there. The owner is very elderly, and though he doesn't smile much, he's very kind; he gave us free rides to the station twice. There isn't much in terms of service, and the facilities are a bit dated with no restaurant, but the location is excellent.

Perfect stay for an authentic Japanese experience! We loved the building, food, staff and amenities provided. Bit on the high side but looks like a budget hotel with Mt Fuji view. Not too bad but don't expect too much. It's good enough for a night stay and their Japanese breakfast is delicious.
We saw the beautiful mount fuji from here. Thr room was clean and comfortable. I wish I can come back soon to stay again.
The room comes with fantastic mount fuji view. Room is big and clean. Breakfast was great too. The only downside is that their heater seems like not performing well but luckily their blanket is thick enough to keep you warm.
Very comfortable and pleasant stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. The location was convenient for exploring the area and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and I would stay here again on my next visit.
Great place to stay. Wonderful breakfast and very beautiful rooftop terrace for capturing the Fuji mountain view❤️😍🥰
Excellent hotel! The front desk had a friendly and polite Chinese gentleman. The hotel was clean and tidy, and we had a clear view of Mount Fuji right from our window – the weather was perfect for it! You could see Fuji-san so clearly 🗻
