Higashiizu, 1017 Inatori, Kamo District, 413-0411 Higasiidzu, uezd Kamo, Prefektura Sidzuoka, Yaponiya 🧭 Map
I arrived at this hotel with high expectations, as the reviews all praised its cuisine. Both dinner and breakfast were lavish, with dishes served one by one. The splendid alfonsino sashimi and braised dish were definite highlights. However, the hotel room itself was quite ordinary and appeared rather dated. The 'top 100 Asian view' is entirely weather-dependent; on a cloudy day, it's quite unremarkable
The hot spring bath was incredibly relaxing.
As you'd expect from an inn where you can dine, the meals were truly sumptuous and all delicious. I was also happy that they had sashimi for both dinner and breakfast.
I also used the open-air baths in my room and the large public bath, and both had great views and were very pleasant!
I would love to stay here again!
The 16 videos and photos alone speak volumes about my satisfaction with this hotel! I wasn't entirely satisfied with the room I booked based on the photos, but it was even better in person. It's the first time I've ever experienced a hotel that's actually better than the photos! The food was absolutely amazing! My two elders were blown away by their first experience at a Japanese onsen hotel, enjoying...
Although it is a bit far from the station, a shuttle bus is provided, which is also very convenient for self-driving tours. In addition, all meals are enjoyed in the room, which is very private and convenient.
The room was clean and spacious. The dinner and breakfast were above and beyond expectations. They even had gunkan sashimi with each meal, and a whole alfonsino with dinner! We enjoyed both the hotel's public hot springs, morning and night, respectively. The ocean view was stunning, and the private bath on the room's balcony was also nice.

The onsen room isn't huge but it's very clean and the water is excellent. Soaking twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, really does feel healthy. The food is great. The hotel is located by the sea, but there's no beach. You can see trains heading to Shimoda passing by. In the lobby, there's a fish pond with large koi, and for 100 yen, you can buy food from a dispenser to feed them. The...
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel gave me a high-floor room, and the view was absolutely incredible! I'd definitely go back just for that ocean view. It's so photogenic!
The only downside is that the hotel rooms are a bit old, but considering it's a decades-old hotel, that's understandable. The smell when you enter the room is like that of a straw mat, not an unpleasant odor.
What...
Service: The service was genuinely excellent. I had some issues with my room during check-in and ended up bothering the staff for quite a while, but they remained patient and helpful throughout.
Facilities: The facilities are a bit old, but I booked an upgraded room which had been renovated. It felt newer than the standard rooms and didn't have any musty smell.
Cleanliness: It was very clean, and...
I was assigned a room on the 3rd floor, which was dark and had a musty smell, so I wasn't happy with it. The room itself was spacious with a separate wet and dry area, but the bathroom was old and I didn't dare to use it.
The highlight for me was the 6th-floor lounge. It was comfortable, overlooked the sea, and offered snacks and drinks 24/7 – a great place to relax.
The hot springs were just okay...
The room facilities are quite outdated. The first day had bad weather, and it was only sunny on the second day. I booked a half-board package, and the breakfast was decent. I was quite disappointed with the 24-hour service; there were limited options, too many people, and only drinks were available. Desserts were only served after dinner. Dinner was also mediocre. The set meal with golden eye snapper...
This is definitely one of my favorite hotels! The exterior has a very European feel, but the rooms are distinctly Japanese, as you can see from the photos. Honestly, one room could easily fit ten people, though it felt a bit wasteful for just me. 😄
The hotel's main onsen is fantastic, especially the outdoor bath – so relaxing with a wonderful view.
The service here is exceptional. There are different...

It's OK, suitable for families, but a little old
Friendly staff, nice service. Old building, but very clean. Some rooms were reformed. Just need some improvement in the food menu. It was ok level.
Ideal for travellers with children under age of 7.
Nice place for family trip, the pool was fun.
tasty food on buffet especially the Sashimi and tempura. The staff were friendly.
A bit old but well cared hotel with views of the ocean in every room. The night and morning buffet was lovely, plenty of fresh dishes. The massage service is also good and affordable. I recommend to make some visit the onsen and swimming pool, which are both very nice.
The buffet was delicious. Western and Japanese food.
Frustrating that the fitness room cost an extra ¥1080 for 2 hours.
Everywhere inside was clean and the onsen were nice, well stocked with grooming supplies. The outdoor onsen is great.

I arrived at the hotel after 6 PM, but upon entering the room, I found it didn't match my reservation: there was no bed (see Figure 1), while I had clearly booked a room with a bed (see Figure 2). After questioning the hotel, they insisted that this was the room I had booked. Worse still, I could hear loud noise from a machine on the side of the balcony. I immediately contacted my Ctrip hotel concierge...
The location, hot springs, food, and service were all excellent. As most hot spring areas are comprised of older buildings, the hotel's overall facilities appear to need some remodeling.
The room was spacious and clean, and the hot spring was very comfortable. I'll definitely come again.
The two ********* guys at the hotel front desk and restaurant were very polite, and the other staff were also very friendly and polite. The hotel swimming pool was very clean and the view from the room was beautiful. It is highly recommended.
The Atagawa Prince Hotel perfectly embodies the essence of Japanese hospitality! From the moment you step into the lobby, the staff greet you with a friendly smile, proactively assist with your luggage, and patiently explain how to use the facilities. The most amazing thing is the hotel's dual hot spring experience—the open-air bath offers a distant view of the ocean, while the observation bath looks...
This is the hot spring hotel I was most satisfied with during my trip to Izu. There is a 24-hour convenience store right at the door. The hotel shuttle bus is very convenient. I called the hotel as soon as I arrived at Atagawa Station. I saw the staff holding a sign when I got out of the station. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel so much, the room is spacious with sea view, it is located in the quiet neighborhood. We also booked for dinner at hotel and it was more than our expectation. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff were super friendly. There is a great izakaya restaurant near by with reasonable price.
Stayed from Oct 2-4.
**Environment**: Right by the sea, you can see the ocean as soon as you open the curtains, with waves crashing against the rocks. The balcony is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. The window insulation is superb; when you close the windows at night, you can't hear the sound of the waves at all. This hotel seems to be the closest to the sea on this street, and I...
The room was very spacious; we booked the Lian Yin room on the 3rd floor. The hotel has many room types. We arrived at the station at 6:30 PM, past the last shuttle bus for over six years, but the hotel still came to pick us up. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly rich and exceeded our expectations!
This hotel is a 10-minute walk from Izu Inatori Station, or you can request a hotel transfer, but we couldn't get through on the phone so we couldn't use that service.
The beach is right outside the door, and it's also very close to Ginsui-so. A stroll in the evening is very pleasant.
The open-air onsens are on the 3rd and 5th floors, but you can't see the sunrise from there. You can watch it from...
I have to highlight the two meals at this hotel. Pictures 1-5 show dinner. The portions were huge, more than we could finish. The taste was good, the sashimi was fresh, and the splendid alfonsino was also delicious. Picture 6 shows breakfast. What really stood out was the fragrant grilled fish, and mixing the onsen egg into the rice was absolutely amazing!
I booked a standard sea-view room and made a reservation in advance, so the hotel arranged a shuttle bus to pick us up from and drop us off at Izu-Inatori Station. To be honest, the room was a bit old and the hygiene was just so-so, but the half-board (dinner and breakfast) was absolutely amazing! The Atagawa-kan, which I'd been looking forward to, certainly didn't disappoint! The accommodations, hot springs, hotel food, and nearby restaurants were all great, and the surroundings were simply amazing. Highly recommended!
The hotel's hot spring is very comfortable and there's a shuttle bus service. The service is also great, and you can watch the sunrise directly from your room.
This hotel is very clean. Although there was a faint musty, wooden smell upon entering, it quickly dissipated after airing out the room. I stayed on the seventh floor, and the view outside was exceptional; the sea was right below, and there were barely any tourists. Kanto-Izu Trip in September 2025~
For this Izu trip, we stayed at Atagawakan. After exiting JR Izu-Atagawa Station, I was about to walk to the hotel with my luggage when I saw Atagawakan's shuttle bus pulling up right outside, so I hopped right on. Over the next few days, I noticed the shuttle runs very frequently – I wonder if it's timed with the JR train schedule?

This hotel comes highly recommended on Xiaohongshu, and for good reason—it offers excellent value for money. Stylistically, it boasts a Japanese home-style aesthetic (online sources claim it's Showa-era, which might be a bit early). Overall is good. Onsen is nice. Not crowded. Nice view. Will visit again
The hotel is indeed quite old and not very well maintained. I had originally booked another hotel, but due to a hot spring malfunction, I had to move here. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, though the mobile signal is decent in rooms on higher floors. The hotel lacks dining facilities...

Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very clean, and the breakfast is delicious, especially the curry rice. The location is excellent, being close to Kawazu-cho, Inatori, and Jogasaki Coast. Plus, it boasts ocean views where you can watch both the sunrise and sunset. It offers great value for money and is definitely worth revisiting.

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath!
The location was great, and the complimentary drinks and snacks were plentiful, which I really appreciated. ^_^

This was my first solo trip to Japan, and it was a spontaneous decision. Due to my procrastination, I only started booking accommodations two days in advance. The hotel upgraded me to a higher level room. The hotel was going to be completely upgraded and renovated the next day. I didn't try out other hotel services, such as breakfast, dinner, and hot springs. I think the room was just okay, not bad.
Overall, the hotel is good. The hotel has a shuttle bus. Although time is limited, it is not far to walk from Inatori Station to the hotel without luggage. The hotel's kaiseki dinner wasn't a hit with a lot of my family; they found it a bit strange, though I thought it was okay. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and the rooms are quite spacious. The tatami mats were a huge favorite with the kids, and the onsen (hot spring) is really authentic.
The room was spacious and bright with a beautiful sea view. The front desk staff was very helpful. Complimentary drinks and coffee are available on the 2nd floor. Although the room was different from what I expected, they dealt with it in various ways and it was very helpful.

Description was not correct in terms of facility in the room booked, which I was so unhappy that I expected to have Roten Buro (no roof outside bathtub on the balcony), however it was not, and kept asking trip.com to sort it out but never been sorted. The hotel seems quite old, and the room facilities are rather dated. As soon as you step into the room, you're hit with that distinct, strong Indian curry smell – you know the kind. I even had to sprinkle some medicated oil at night to try and mask the scent! You have to lay out the futons yourself. However, this hotel offers good value for money. Rooms facing the sea offer beautiful sunrise views...
The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable!

The positive review is for Ctrip, because I couldn't stay at other hotels and was able to change to this one for free. If I had stayed at the original price, the value for money would have been extremely low. The view from the standard room wasn't great; I had to pay to upgrade to a suite to make it slightly better. The service from the lobby manager to the waiters and drivers was poor. The food was...
This is a Japanese-style hotel that's not very conveniently located, but it's well-equipped, comfortable, and spacious with a private onsen. Dinner is very luxurious, and breakfast is plentiful. The hotel is located in a quiet area with a stretch of seaside road nearby.
To be honest, it wasn't as amazing as I'd heard. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, and the food was just average. Having dinner in the room was one thing, but having breakfast in the room was another. They even knocked on the door to collect the bed before 8 am! I was so annoyed.
The room was great, but it was cloudy that day, which affected the beautiful view. The food was fresh and the quantity was large, so I was very full. The private hot spring was also great, so be sure to make an appointment in advance.
Very good stay experience, the sunrise in the morning must be seen. The hotel service is first-class, just short of feeding you. The breakfast is very rich, it is the breakfast with the most variety I have ever eaten in my life. The oranges in the lobby on the 8th floor are also delicious, it seems that there is no such orange in China
It's really a perfect hotel to stay in! Whether it's the scenery, service, or breakfast and dinner, they are all amazing. The hotel's one-time hot spring reservation for each person is also facing the sea! This choice deserves 100 likes

It was quite interesting to talk about this stay. Most of the waiters were very friendly and willing to consider and provide a lot of help for the guests, but there was a very shocking scene. We stayed for two nights in total. On the first night, after finishing the teppanyaki, we saw that we could set off free fireworks outside the restaurant. Several friends were very happy because fireworks have...
Traditional Japanese style, didn't book a sea view room but this one is pretty good. The originally rainy weather suddenly got better, and I saw the sunrise. The food and beverage were also good. Breakfast was traditional Japanese, and dinner was included in the set menu 🈶 Western food, sashimi, etc. The service was also very good. Very good, independent terrace hot spring ♨️ comfortable
The room we stayed in was very big, a Western-style room with two mattresses and a massage chair. The hotel's open-air hot spring bath has a great view, facing the sea. The breakfast and dinner were very rich, and the staff also thoughtfully gave each of us a lunch box when we went out in the morning. I felt that the value of the room fee was reflected in the meals. The hotel will have a free shuttle...
Very satisfied
The hotel food is very good
The room has a view of Sagami Bay
The hotel's hot springs are also great, you can face nature while taking a hot spring bath
And the male and female baths are changed at night
So you can experience different pools
The hotel service is very warm, there is a coffee bar with free drinks, lunch boxes are delivered at noon, and the dinner and breakfast are also very rich. I am very satisfied! The price-performance ratio is very high, and I will come again next time I have the chance!
It's a good experience, but the sea view is a bit blocked, not as good as Jixiang Pavilion!

The staff at the store were very kind and helpful!
Nice place and enjoyed the experience. Onsen was wonderful.
It was great that there was a private open-air bath.
It would be great if the ocean was nearby and the weather was sunny.
There were so many hot springs that you couldn't use them all in one day.
Shuttle pick up avaliable at train station.
Food is excellent.
Very amazing, the breakfast is so rich! There is almost no one in the hotel's hot spring. However, if children stay in this hotel, they will be charged an additional fee, so if you bring children, you must communicate with the hotel in advance. In short, the accommodation environment is really good, all Japanese style, a memorable night! Ctrip is still very powerful, and I am very satisfied with the...
Very nice staff.we went there in July and took the private onsen and it was too hot so couldn’t enjoy it 😂
