Great tradional hotel with traditional baths.Good food too.

The food is great, the quality of dinner food surprised me. Onsen is very big.

the central heat in the room was too much, had to open window a bit. free pudding and ice pops aren't really our cup of tea, but it was a great gesture. onsen was great experience, room is spacious for 4 of us. would come back to stay again. location is quiet and convenient. garden was beautiful

The free afternoon tea everyday is a big plus. It's also close to the station, walk 5-8mins only. A Lawson is within 5 mins. Hotel is classy and clean.

The room was enormous, and you could enjoy the ocean view from your room. The public bath on the 6th floor had a great view, and the 1st floor was also nice. The outdoor bath on the 1st floor had a landscaped area, was even larger, and there was also a dry steam room. The breakfast and dinner were incredibly filling, and I couldn't finish them all. Go to Beppu Station's west exit, on the left, at Station 3. Take Line 1 bus 🚌 to the last stop, Kannawa. It's a two-minute walk to Sansuikan. It's so convenient. From Sansuikan, walk left for about eight minutes to Umijigoku 😊. Umijigoku isn't big, but it has a foot bath where you can soak your feet. An hour's worth of exploration is enough. Beppu is a rural area, so don't expect great restaurants...

The rooms are very clean and a must-see for a stay with two meals. Right next to the hotel are White Pond Hell and Sea Hell, a 15-minute walk away. Blood Pond Hell and Tornado Hell are also easily accessible via bus number 16, which takes 15 minutes.

The hotel is in a great location, just across from Kannawa Station from Fukuoka Airport. While the hotel is older, the rooms are clean and the service is excellent. The public hot springs are large and private, so you can enjoy them privately. You can even watch the sunrise from your room.

Since I had to stay one night in Beppu, I had no choice but to choose a place close to Kannawa Bus Terminal. The room is a sea view room! There is no crowd at all for the 4 of us! The open-air hot spring is amazing! Enjoy the sea view and the breeze! The hotel is just on the roadside, very close to Beppu Onsen! The fried chicken nearby is super delicious! I want to eat more!

Well. You can definitely find a better place to go with way less money. Small room and dirty AC and smelly. Private bath is okay but way too small and not clean and meal is okay but could be better. I won’t recommend this place to anybody. Go to a hotel instead.

Awesome service as expected from a Japanese Ryokan. There was a lot of food and it was delicious. The sake was great as well with a fruity flavor. To take a shower you do need to use the familiar public onsen once available but still a great experience

The public bath for day trips is 500 yen. 11:00-16:00 Shampoo and conditioner available. Towels can be borrowed for free. A hair dryer is also provided. Family bath is 2000 yen. The large public bath has an open air outside, but it was a little lukewarm and it would have been nice if it was a little warmer like the indoor bath. This is where it gets a little sad. This was only the third Ryokan we've ever been to, and it stood out to be the best in terms of comfort and value! Great service; great food; good location (not as secluded as other ryokans, but very accessible).

You can book/use both indoor and outdoor private onsen which is really nice! and the staff are nice and helpful. Also the area this Ryokan is located in the city is very convenient and nice! And is very close to the seven hells of Beppu.

Hyotan Onsen is very close by, but after 9 PM, there's hardly anyone on the streets, and it's quite dark, which felt a bit scary. Even the location is good but it difficult to go to and there is no sign of the ryokan at all. The room is very old and authentic which it almost 200 yrs. But request ice will cost 500 yen which should be free servicea.

This guesthouse is full of travel charm. You can reserve the bathtub for private use, and the meals are enough for 2 to 3 people, with sashimi, tempura, steamed dishes, and Western food—so much food you'll be spoiled for choice.
