Clean room and convenient location, convenience store right opposite of the hotel. The room is spacious as well. We were lucky to have a room that can see the fireworks from our hotel room window. It was a nice stay.

Everything was very good, except the temperature in the room, because it’s super warm in winter, and it can’t be controlled in the room. Hotspring was very nice!

The twin room was 26 square meters, clean and tidy. I stayed on the 16th floor, where I could see Beppu Bay to the left and trains arriving and departing from the station to the right. Both breakfast and dinner were substantial, and a special highlight was being able to try the local specialty, 'Jigoku Mushi' (hell-steamed dishes), cooked with 98-degree hot water directly from the onsen.

Hotel has nice hot spring. Single room typical Japanese style but a bit narrow to accommodate 24” luggage with both sides fully open. Buffet has good spread, but the meat stew serving was limited, after 8am there’s no more meat in the stew, left with the carrots, lotus roots etc. should refill as the buffet ends 930am. Like the hot noodles.

The location is decent, about a 5-minute walk from the JR station. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the cleanliness is acceptable. The room didn't have much of a view and you could hear the train. The onsen and breakfast areas were very crowded. This Kamenoi wasn't as good as the one we stayed at previously in Toba. The hot springs in Beppu are definitely worth visiting!

The room's window opens to an unobstructed view of the blue sky, and the hotel's hot spring is very comfortable. The space isn't large but it's cozy, very clean, and quiet.

Excellent value for money, convenient for transportation and shopping, and the hotel facilities and surroundings were all great. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beppu. I hope more Chinese-speaking tourists choose this hotel.

The room was quite clean, and it even had a hot spring. The surrounding area is very convenient with plenty of food options. It's right next to the Oita TV Tower and not far from the JR station. The yakiniku (grilled meat) and tempura places nearby were absolutely delicious.

The hotel is right next to Beppu Tower, and Beppu Station is also very close. It looks really nice at night. There are two supermarkets nearby, which is convenient for buying food, and it's also easy to get to several hot springs. I'm writing this review a long time after my stay, so I've forgotten if there was a hot spring in the hotel itself.

Large comfortable clean room. I loved the rooftop onsen. The breakfast and dinner were good, not 5*, but certainly you can find some nice food to fill you up. The only thing I really didn't like was there was no WiFi anywhere except the lobby, and there is nowhere comfortable to sit in there. WiFi is a basic requirement nowadays.

Good value waterfront hotel. It's a bit dated and it could use a majority renovation, but it's fairly clean. Good service, and very good dinner and breakfast . The city view was not worth it. I would pay the extra and book the oceanview.

The ryokan style room is very spacious with beautiful sea view. We loved the indoor & outdoor onsen. Good spread at the buffet dinner and breakfast. A very relaxing stay! There is also a DONKI nearby the hotel.

I stayed here because I had to go to the ferry terminal early in the morning. It was very convenient, with Toyoken (a famous chicken tempura restaurant) nearby and a supermarket within walking distance. The bath is indoors, but it was very clean and nice. I was able to watch YouTube on the TV in the room.

The breakfast selection was quite good. The only downside was that the hotel parking lot was across the street. It just so happened that it was raining heavily the day I arrived. The room was spacious and the view from the window was beautiful. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I stayed in a smoking room. I'm a smoker so it was good because there are only non-smoking rooms available these days. The breakfast was also delicious and I ate too much. The hotel staff were always smiling and helpful so I was very satisfied.

Triple room for a family of four. The hot spring is only an indoor bath, but it's great value for money. I recommend not ordering breakfast, but looking for a place that serves breakfast instead!

The hotel is a bit old, but the staff is friendly and the accommodation is clean. Above all, the parking lot is large and parking is free, making it a great place to travel by rental car.

It is right next to Beppu station, the onsen is overnight though I have not try but at least they provide, no check out procedures, free breakfast, password instead of room key and free drink is super convenient. The room with Seaview and spacious with a sofa bed is out of expectation. Everything is perfect at this price.

This hotel deserves a great review! It's very affordable, and the location is fantastic – just a 5-minute walk from Beppu Station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. They offer a self-service breakfast and even have a complimentary happy hour in the evening where you can use the restaurant and enjoy drinks. Everything was perfect, except for the small room size.

Went with a friend this time. They have free hot springs/baths, and it wasn't too crowded. The best part is it's super, super cheap and the location is very convenient, easily accessible whether you have a car or not.

The Seawave Hotel offers great value for money. The proximity to Beppu Station is a huge plus with free parking! We used self automated check in and out hence can’t really review service of the hotel; the room, while compact, was very clean and had everything we needed. A solid choice for a comfortable and convenient onsen stay in Beppu.

No on site car park and have to use a nearby car park which is 600 yen per entry. The don’t clean the room daily but can change your towel if you want. We left our trash and dirty towel outside, they don’t replace with new trash bag or put new towels in bag n hang outside door. So hv to collect from reception personally

When I booked, it only showed the room, not that it was in an annex building. We ended up being placed in the building next door, which had much simpler facilities and was significantly smaller. I'm not sure what the reasoning was. To take a bath, I had to carry a basket out and go to the main building. The slippers provided were also very slippery. The hotel room is a little small and bed is soft but overall still quite good for location and front desk service.

It's a bit of a walk from the station, and dragging luggage was a bit tough. A taxi costs around 850 yen. However, transportation in Miyazaki is quite inconvenient; you need to book a taxi in advance to get back to the station from the hotel, as it's hard to hail one from the street. Other than that, everything else was good, and breakfast was included.

Overall, the standard is incredibly high! It's perfect for a relaxing getaway. The public bath facing the sea 🌊 is an absolute must-try. You can give the Japanese set dinner a try; don't set your expectations for the taste too high, but the ambiance is quite nice.

A quiet business class hotel located just meters outside the JR Beppu station, within close walking distance of day use onsen, shopping, and dining. While it's true they are adjacent to the elevated rail, in practice this isn't really a problem for all but the most sensitive travellers because of frequency and limited use at night.

Very close to train station. They rent e-bikes for a good price. 1500 yen for 6 hours or a little more for the whole day. Was able to cycle to all the sights and tackle the hills easily.

Go to Beppu Station's west exit, on the left, at Station 3. Take Line 1 bus 🚌 to the last stop, Kannawa. It's a two-minute walk to Sansuikan. It's so convenient. From Sansuikan, walk left for about eight minutes to Umijigoku 😊. Umijigoku isn't big, but it has a foot bath where you can soak your feet. An hour's worth of exploration is enough. Beppu is a rural area, so don't expect great restaurants...

The rooms are very clean and a must-see for a stay with two meals. Right next to the hotel are White Pond Hell and Sea Hell, a 15-minute walk away. Blood Pond Hell and Tornado Hell are also easily accessible via bus number 16, which takes 15 minutes.

The hotel is in a great location, just across from Kannawa Station from Fukuoka Airport. While the hotel is older, the rooms are clean and the service is excellent. The public hot springs are large and private, so you can enjoy them privately. You can even watch the sunrise from your room.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the bus station, JR station and several large shopping malls. The hotel hot spring is also good, but the outdoor hot spring is not satisfactory and the facilities are very simple. The room is big enough. The only regret is the breakfast. The American set meal and a hamburger are enough to fill you up, but it doesn't feel like Japan. It's okay to eat it...

I booked a single room, but the clerk said it was full that day so I upgraded it to a double room for free. The room was a bit old, but spacious and clean without any odor. The only drawback was that the check-in time was too late (15:00~), and even if you check in a little earlier, you still need to pay extra.

It was conveniently located and close to a famous hot spring, so I experienced a sand bath for the first time. The hotel also has a hot spring, and you can enjoy an open-air bath. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and although most of the staff were from overseas, they were all smiling and left a very good impression. I would definitely like to use it again.

The hotel has been renovated, and the outdoor hot spring is quite large, fed directly by natural spring water. However, compared to other hot spring hotels in the same price range, there's no welcome drink or all-you-can-drink option, and only iced water is provided after the hot spring bath.

Wow, it was really bad for the price.. It was over 700,000 won per night.. and during my 2 night stay, I couldn't eat the kaiseki meal because it was full.. Awesome service as expected from a Japanese Ryokan. There was a lot of food and it was delicious. The sake was great as well with a fruity flavor. To take a shower you do need to use the familiar public onsen once available but still a great experience

The private open-air bath is located outside the hotel, very close to the hotel. You can bathe alone for 50 minutes as a family and enjoy this unforgettable moment.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so it's more convenient if you're driving. We booked breakfast and dinner, and the food was absolutely amazing; you definitely have to try it if you stay here. My favorite part was the private hot spring in the room. I'd come back again if I get the chance.

The location is pretty good because it’s private. It’s suit for guest comes with the car. About 15 mins drive to downtown. The room was big with private onsen, clean and simple. The facility is only the public onsen, which is indoor with no view. The breakfast is quite basic, the taste could be more outstanding.

I stayed here in 2024 and had a great experience! This time, however, it was a bit disappointing. The facilities are starting to show their age. The food quality is excellent (half-board with dinner and breakfast). The private onsen in the room is definitely a highlight.

Nice place with great staff. The whole hotel is peaceful ground covered with tatami. We reserved the private onsen and was satisfied with the amenities. Bfast was a set meal with refillable sides and rice. Located not too far from beppu station, its just a straight walk all the way.

location is not ideal without personal transport, have to arrange private pick up or taxi from train station. Room has private onsen but it's not comfortable or inviting as it's a bath tub... not your typical outdoor- pool like tub , so a little disappointing. food was well presented and tasty. Nothing to offer in the neighbourhood.... so practically, sleep, bath and depart

The hotel location is chosen to be less beautiful on the residential side, the room lighting and layout is darker and old not beautiful enough, one night two meals is very good, if you can bring your own alcoholic beverages is even better, service attitude is good but can still have greater room for improvement,

The hotel offers a shuttle service to Beppu Station, which must be booked two days in advance. Having a private onsen in your room is awesome! But the hotel itself is in dire need of renovation. The floors in the room are scuffed. The wallpaper in the hallway is peeling. And the shower glass is caked with film. This can definitely be cleaned, but alas. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, but very long. Dinner lasts about two hours, with very long breaks between courses.

Unfortunately the room was super moldy and it was ruining the experience. We stayed there for two days. The first day, the dinner was delicious and so was the breakfast but the second day, the food was not as great and the breakfast was served as a Western style, was much less in portion compared to the first day. It was still nice to have Onsen in your room. But it comes with a price.
