Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Saikaibashi in Sasebo

Nothing is really good about this hotels.
The rooms have a bad smell in the toilet and washroom areas. The toilet air filters are not changed.
The room entrance door is not at all insulated against sounds, so we hear every single actions people do in the corridor. And this is a big hotel so there a lot of traffic in the corridor till after we (tried to) sleep. I had to put my ear plugs.

The whole corridor leading to the restaurant and the entrance of the restaurant stinks old plastic. That bad smell come from the big amount of plastic plants decoration that they should remove as this is quite a bad design.

The restaurant is all industrial food. There is some good amount of choice but nothing really tastes fresh, or good, or natural.

The onsen. This hotel being by the Oedo Osen group, I was expecting it to be very varied and great. It was okay, but very minimalist. Just showered, an indoor onsen, an outdoor onsen, a sauna and its cold bath.

I would not recommend this hotel unless you find a very cheap deal.

Husband and I like to stay one night every few months. A few months ago, it seems they changed ownership/brand. While the prices of the room stayed the same, they got rid of many amenities like included alcohol, live music in the lobby, onsen basket, onsen towels, assorted hair products for women, water in room, etc. Recently, I asked for some salt because they removed the ones on the tables. The chef said no. I just wanted a little bit for my fruit. Why charge so much and offer so little? Such a shame. We try to stay at this hotel often because we love it so much. But it's became very disappointing.

Very small room. No bath towels, no view. It looks like the room used to be a linen closet.
You can get a bathrobe in the reception: self service.
There's a bar in the lobby with free beverages including beer.
