Nice hard bed, friendly staff. Close to castle and garden , but 20 minutes walk from station.

Best was the receptionist! A young and very professional gentleman that helped us with everything along our stay, he normally works in Kyoto but came for a week to the hotel in kanazawa. Hope to see you at the hotel insomnia KYOTO next time we pass through. Highly recommend this hotel!

Some weights at the gym would have been the cherry on top of the cake :)

The soundproofing in the room is absolutely terrible. I was subjected to constant road noise all night; the buses sounded like they were driving right through my room, literally felt like I was sleeping on the street! I could even clearly hear the hangers rattling in the next room. To top it off, the curtains let in so much light that the room was bright all night. It was impossible to get any rest with all that light and noise. Definitely avoid this place!

The Square hotel Kanazawa was our favourite hotel in Japan so far. 15 minutes walk from Kanazawa Starion and in a great location for our short stay in Kanazawa (we now wish we had booked longer). We walked everywhere, including to the old Samurai district.
3 single beds, 2 were on a platform so that added a bit of Japanese authenticity (a bit). Lovely staff, public bath had tatto restrictions but that’s ok, room bath was really good. I will stay here again when I come back.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and there's a hot spring bath on the top floor. It's located near Omicho Market. I booked early and got a triple room for less than 300 per night, which was excellent value for money. I was very satisfied with my 4-night stay.

This is the second time for our families to stay at The Square Hotel Kanazawa. The room is spacious to accomodate 4 people. The location is great, walking distance to major tourist attractions e.g. The Kanazawa Castle, Omichio Market, Kenrokuen Garden etc... The hotel also has a public bath ( both indoor and outdoor bath) that we enjoyed very much.

Next to omicho market, two bus stop to Kanazawa station, Kanazawa castle behind the hotel, everywhere within walking distance.
