Kanazawa, 4-17 Koshomachi (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
We originally got a room that was smoky probably due to previous guests but the housekeeping did not do a good job of getting rid of the smokiness (take note the hotel is supposed to be non smoking I think). We called the reception who proceeds to change our room to another floor and they made sure this time there's no ciggarette smell. That wasted a bit of our time but a good gesture to change our...
The location is super convenient, and the room size is quite spacious for Japan. The view from the front desk floor is also really nice; I even saw Kanazawa's first snow on the day I checked out.
Just opposite the market and a good location to most of the tourist place
Just opposite the market and a good location to most of the tourist place
The hotel service was excellent, and the front desk staff were kind and friendly. However, my room was very cold. Even with the air conditioning on, the comforter was so thin that I had to sleep with my down jacket on top of it at night.
The room was extremely spacious and clean, it does give retro feeling, but everything is functional and again very very clean. I was able to check in at 4 am on extremely short notice but in additional night so I could spend the rest of the morning sleeping and the hotel accommodated me. Very nice stay overall :)

Kanazawa, 7-12 Nakabashimachi (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was quite small, and the bathroom had a very high step, which felt a bit dangerous getting in and out of. The front desk staff didn't speak English. It's a 5-minute walk to the subway. The surrounding area is very lively, with large shopping malls, supermarkets, and restaurants.
really enjoyed staying there for a cheaper price 🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Room was clean but there were stains over the carpet on the corridor. Window in the room could not be opened. Location is 10-12 minute walk from the JR station. Nearby shops are limited. Overall worth the price
Good budget hotel of livemax group, 10 minute walking to kanazawa station
I have chose this hotel chain some times when having trips Cleaness, location and price are ok
Everything was good, the room was very clean, and it's super close to Kanazawa Station—only a 7-minute walk from the West Exit. The only thing I wish they could improve is that they don't allow luggage storage after check-out. This is the first hotel I've encountered with such a policy.

The hotel was great and I would like to come back again.
Many shops, large dinner area, Bingo and Live performances throughout the week. On 3rd floor : Traditional Hot Spring, Children Play area Smoking Boxes, Lounge/Sleep area and 500 yen Fish Pedicure.
部屋着が明るい色だといいな❗
It's a big complex, attached to a hotel. It's got everything you need, plus things I didn't need - like a pachinko area. It's also a bit dated. But overall it was fine for a wash after cycling into Kanazawa
Good price, many option for Onsen, but not allow people with tattoos

The staff were polite and friendly, which made me feel at ease during my stay. It was a wonderful part of my trip. The breakfast was also luxurious and I was very satisfied.
This property is awesome. Great staff that are all exceptionally good at service and genuine friendliness.if I was coming back if definitely stay here. Close to everything including the castle the gardens and the old district. Very impressed
I’d been looking forward to our stay at LINNAS Kanazawa since I’d made the booking, months beforehand. I loved the idea of communal areas where guests could connect with each other and share their experiences and tips, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It felt like an upmarket hostel, with shared spaces and a casual and relaxed atmosphere, yet with our own private room. Our room was a Comfort Group...
It was great!!! I want to stay here again when I go to Kanazawa!!! The staff were all wonderful, and I had a comfortable three days, which became a wonderful memory!
It is a beautiful accommodation. It is located near the Kanazawa Station and the sightseeing spots are near by. The staff is really friendly. Due to the small bathroom, the washbasin is too small. I would absolutely recommend it.
This little gem of a hostel made our first (and probably not our last) visit to Kanazawa worth the six nights we spent visiting parks, onsens, and museums. The location is conveniently located near the famous market and easily accesses the key tourist sites within 15-20 minute walks. Convenience stores are two corners away and there are in-house vending machines for late night cravings. Rooms are...

The hotel rooms are decent. It’s better if you can get a non smoking room though. Travelled solo and room space was sufficient. The following are the pros of this place: Very close proximity to the station The staff is very considerate and polite You can ask them queries and they will try their best to respond even if it’s in English and you use a translator The place served free coffee from 3pm to...
Breakfast was included and I had whatever I wanted.
Hotel that clearly needs renovation, although let's not forget that it is a 2 star. The rooms are dated, with their 80s-90s decor. However, very good situation, friendly and competent staff, and very good breakfast although not very varied.
Breakfast buffet is good, staff are friendly. But, the room we had is quite old, the toilet bowl is not cleaned properly, and sink has stains on it.
Very professional and warm staff, she actively offer us umbrellas since it was snowing. Room was big and nice, the breakfast is very rich. Btw they serve free cocoa and coffee, very kind!
We stayed here for one night. The location is fantasic as it's about 5 minutes walk from the Kanazawa Station. There are lots of restaurants in the area as well so no need to worry about meals. The hotel also offers a simple complimentary breakfast with a variety of breads, rice, natto, salad, scrambled eggs and sausages. It's an older building and the room was quite small. The AC blows hot air in...

The room felt quite old. The sink was inside the room. The room was a twin room with two beds of different sizes and heights. Since I was alone, I slept on the higher bed, but it was too narrow... I almost fell off. The lower bed was wide, but too low, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom and toilet were fairly clean. There was no information about Wi-Fi in the room; I checked the information board...
Clean spacious rooms close to Kanazawa Station but in a quiet back street. Great eating options nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my 4 night stay. Recommended.
The hotel environment is very good 👍🏻 It is within walking distance to Kanazawa Train Station and large shopping malls. There are many various restaurants around the hotel. The hotel is only a 7-minute walk from Omicho Market. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to Korinbo by three stops from the train station. The hotel rooms are neat and clean. Parking is provided for 1,000 yen per day, but there...
It feels a little old, but it's spacious, cheap, and satisfying! I'm glad the hair dryer has a strong wind. I'm glad it's close to the station!
Less than 10 minutes from the train station. Around 3 minutes to the nearest family mart.
Location is good. Other than that, nothing special. Self-service is the norm.

Our stay at Ryokan Karasawa was lovely! The space was clean and peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. The guide to the local buses and food was invaluable. The building does show its age a bit, but at such a great price and location it's impossible to complain. The futons were REALLY comfy here, too. I'd definitely stay again!
We loved staying at this Ryokan! It had a nice, peaceful atmosphere to it, and offered everything we needed. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly. Every evening ended with a warm bath in the onsen, which we really enjoyed. Upon arrival, we got a map of the area and som restaurant recommendations, which were very good as well. I strongly recommend this Ryokan for a relaxing and authentic...
Loved th e property the rooms felt spacious and the provided services were next to none.
A bit remote from the city center but well worth it, the people who run the inn are incredibly helpful and friendly
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Always smiled and said Hi as we came and went throughout the day. LaLa-chan was also very friendly and always made us smile when we came back. The mattresses in the ryokan were very comfortable, even better than some of the actual beds we stayed in during our trip. The room is also nicely styled, with a great view into a peaceful garden. We stayed in...
The purpose for our visit was to relax quietly after a busy 6 days in Tokyo and Kyoto and experience a traditional Japanese ryokan accommodation and that’s exactly what we got. Our room could not have been more spacious (we did have the largest room) with an indoor balcony with two chairs that looked over the small garden, a large sleeping space and separate private bathroom and porch area. We were...

There were unfamiliar sounds. It was so loud I couldn't sleep. The staff spoke quickly, making it hard to hear.
This was my first time making a reservation and visiting, attracted by the low price. I pulled up to the side of the building and asked the front desk about parking. To my surprise, there was a gravel parking space down the hill. I was a little disappointed to have to walk 100 meters in the heat, but I still checked in. The front desk staff were very polite. The exterior is impressive, but the interior...
Although it feels a little cramped and old, the value for money, including the accommodation fee, is excellent. The only thing I can say is that the heart-breaking slope on the way back from the parking lot is quite tough.
The room was very clean and the staff were very kind. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
There are nice restaurants and roadside stations nearby, so it's a great place for people with cars.
The room was quite small, but the location was good.

We had to cancel the reservation due to an inconvenience and the owner was very kind and resolute, he helped us with everything. It's a shame because we liked the room and the staff was very kind. Thank you for everything.
Shared bathroom and shower. The room is not too big. The price increases a lot during holidays. The Japanese experience is quite unique. Convenient to eat around. There are many shops. The service is very friendly. There is room service.
The main thing about this place is its rooms, specifically traditionally made Japanese rooms (ryokans) The rooms are nice. They are equipped with what you would expect from a normal hotel. Kimonos are in the room too. I would give "rooms" a 4.5. The service of this place is friendly, speaks decent English and is always happy to help you. Just note that the only staff member here is the owner, but...
A wonderful Ryokan, 5 to 10 minutes from the main road and all the local attractions (Kenroku-en garden, kanazawa castle and ruins, 21st modern art gallery) The host and his family are all great, they don't speak much English but they try their best and I'm sure if you try to speak a little Japanese yourself they'll understand immediately, can't fault them at all, highly recommend staying here and...
The most incredibly convenient location for sightseeing in Kanazawa! This ryokan is right in the centre of town and only a few minutes walk from Kenrokuen. This is a lovely little family-run ryokan just off the main street and the location is fantastic, it's close to everything. I had great experience there. It was simple to check-in and check-out and the room was quite spacious. They have a beautiful and equipped kitchen. Would stay again.
It was cheap but not dirty. However, checking in with a tablet was a little difficult, even for young people... That's what the hotel was like. Also, showers and toilets are shared. Amenities include bath towels and toothbrushes. It was located close to Nomachi Station, just a 40-second walk away.
It was nice that it was located in a quiet place. Especially recommended for those staying for a short period of time.
It was clean and the location was close to Katamachi, so I used it after a drinking party. We are not digitally savvy and had a hard time with unmanned check-in and check-out. I would like to study a little more before next time.
Since it was my first time using this accommodation, it took a little time to self-check in, but after that I had no problems and had a comfortable stay. I had confirmed in advance that there would be no parking and no pajamas, so there was no problem. Parking was good as there was a low-cost coin parking nearby. My room was on the third floor, but there was no air conditioning in the hallway, so I...
The location is a little away from the center of the city, in an old streetscape, and it is quiet at night. I think the facilities are clean and good. I visited Kanazawa by car, and the guide said there was free parking, but there was none. However, the nearby coin parking was cheap, so it was helpful. There are two parking lots, and the one in front of the station is divided into regular cars and...

My stay at this ryokan in Kanazawa was the highlight of my trip to Japan. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly at home. Bungo-san and his mother are the most wonderful, kind-hearted hosts I have ever met. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, but what makes this place truly special is the family. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, offering thoughtful advice and genuine...
Bungo-san and his mother were both amazing hosts. I booked through Booking.com and Bungo reached out to me a few days before arrival to coordinate anything I needed, it's a beautiful old hotel which they take very good care of. There's a big dining room with microwave and fridge and then shared bath and shower facilities. I had a single room which had a little entry way (be sure to keep raincoats and...
A great authentic experience. The host was very helpful about tourist activities and came with a lot of wonderful recommendations. We cannot recommend this place enough. Don’t forget to try the private bath when you’re here!
Bungo-san and his mother are lovely hosts. The room was beautiful and their hospitality cannot be matched. If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience I highly reccomend Ryokan Yamamuro. Thank you Bungo-san for everything you have done for us during our stay in Kanazawa.
Very neat and clean place. The host Bungo was patient and detailed, provided recommendations to sightseeing spots and even helped me to reserve a visit that needed pre booking. I like his thoughtful touch of bookmarking the restaurants on the map and sharing them with guests. The location was roughly 15min by foot to the station but it could also depend on the weather. Western showers available all...
This place was FANTASTIC!! Our room was so large we thought it was a mistake. We had a table, sleeping area, then a second sitting room with a private sink. Additional sinks and mirrors were just outside our room, with private bathrooms and showers on our floor. I’d recommend this location if you wish to experience traditional lodgings, in a quiet area with easy access to a lot of stuff. In the immediate area is the Nishi Chaya Tea district (restaurants, cafes, and a small Ninja Weapons museum that’s worth checking out) and the Kutani Kosen Kiln (recommend taking a pottery class there!). I was worried about noise since it’s on a main road, but the rooms are...
New structure, fully automated but the Japanese style rooms make the experience authentic but with some extra comfort. A few stops from Kanazawa station, 15 min by bus. Convenient location to reach the center. Recommended!
Although it is an old house that has been renovated, the bath, washroom, and shared kitchen are modern and simple yet stylish. Security is also good, so I was able to stay there safely. Nishichaya District is nearby, so I enjoyed the atmosphere in the mornings and evenings. I would like to stay here again.
Super stay. Very responsive virtual video check in
Lovely modern facilities. Excellent check in process. Our room accommodates 5 of us. There is a heat pump. There is a shoji when slid open looks our into a lovely garden. The shower is superb. There are many little touches that make this place special. Very convenient, short walk to Nishi Chaya district. Walk across the bridge and you are in the Katamachi district with plenty of restaurants and shopping...
Had a great time with my friends there. A great mix of modern and traditional. It’s right next to a bus stop which brings you to the centre of town, but it’s quite the walk if you wish to not take it. No staff was present when we arrived, the check-in was done via video on a screen with someone that didn’t speak English quite well. This made the process quite complicated, however we managed. The hotel staff were very kind and welcoming, and we had no difficulties communicating in English. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area and has a convenient bus stop nearby. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. 10/10 — I would definitely recommend!
Top! The ownernis very kind, the place is cosy and clean. He even drove us to the station because it was raining. The house is in the hearth of the geisha district, 10 minutes walking from the castle, with good restaurant all around. Overall, very suggested
It's not too far from Kanazawa Station and it's quiet and comfortable.
A great place to stay; we spent one night in a small room that was perfectly adequate. The host was incredibly friendly and provided us with all the essential information and tips about the area. We would definitely come back.
My stay at Stella was amazing. The host, Shuji, was kind enough to make himself available for when I arrived, to make sure the check in process was smooth. The room was spacious and clean. Although men only had one shower to share (there is more than one men’s only toilet), I never waited to use it, nor did I make anyone else.
