Clean and convenient. Exactly what I expected. Perfect for a busy 3 day visit to the city
The rooms are tiny. Breakfast is the same and never changes. We asked for a thick layer of dust to be removed, but no one has done so in four days.
The morning buffet is great. It's a semi-buffet style where you can choose between Japanese or Western main dishes, but you can also have as much bread and rice as you want, so you can pretty much eat both. The free ramen in the evening was also quite tasty. The waiting lobby also has a luxurious feel.
This was my first time traveling to Kanazawa, so I was a little nervous, but this was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were friendly, and the accommodations seemed clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was great, and the large bath was fantastic. Next time I visit Kanazawa, I'll definitely book at the Manten Hotel again.
Convenient transportation, close to the station, abundant breakfast, free ramen every night 🍜, tastes good, and soaking in the hot spring is comfortable.
I always feel safe at Manten. The bath, sauna, convenient transportation, and breakfast with a choice of Japanese or Western are all very satisfying. I will definitely use their services again.

Great Onsen and confortable bedding
It was very good. I was particularly satisfied with the variety of breakfast options. I would like to use this hotel again in the future. This time I stayed for work, but next time I would like to stay for personal use.
Great location, standard room.
When I checked in, there was still trash in the trash can from the previous guest, so I had to change rooms. The room I was changed to was missing some amenities, so I contacted the front desk and they brought some. It was disappointing, even though I was only staying overnight.
Super recommended this hotel for Kanazawa travelers who use the train.
I stayed here the night before the exhibition.

It was clean and nice, and it had a hot spring and sauna.
Hot springs ♨️ the best 😃
It was a 4-day, 3-night trip and it was a very pleasant one. Thank you very much.
It also has a spa, making it a very satisfying hotel! It's in a very luxurious location! The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art and Kenrokuen Garden are within walking distance!
The room was a little small, but everything I needed was compactly packed. The lockers in the changing room at the large bath were small, so it was difficult to get changed when it was crowded. The water was thick and good for a bath.
Location is walking distance to various places like Castle ruins, Kenrokuen Gardens, Naga-machi, Omicho market and others. Service was very good and even though they say they only hold luggage after checkout they held our luggage before the check in time of 15:00. Biggest issue with the place was the small room which was the smallest I’ve ever stayed in Japan. For one person it’s ok but not for two...

Always been a big fan of the Dormy Inn chain, guaranteed a nice onsen and delicious supper and breakfast. Checking in and out is a breeze. This hotel is located steps away from the JR station as well as bus terminal, very easy to hop on a bus to tour the city. Highly recommended.
Right across from Kanazawa Station, this hotel is super convenient with Aeon Mall nearby. Getting around is a breeze, and there are tons of places to eat at the station. I loved that the hotel has a public bath and a warm bowl of ramen at night really hit the spot. It's just a shame I didn't get to see any snow!
Great location and great value for money, quality onsen amenities! Will definitely recommend to friends.
Very conveniently located near the train station. Excellent value for money. Loved the onsen and variety of amenities like the complimentary snack and yonaki soba. Breakfast was good for the price.
very close to the JR station, the temperature of Sauna is really good, the optional breakfast i will think it's not necessary
Friendly staff,great location.

Quite a walk from the station but otherwise a proper hotel for the area.
This hotel offers great value for money, even though it was slightly overpriced due to Japan's spring break. The room was quite spacious. I especially loved the hotel's large public bath; it was so relaxing and washed away all the fatigue. The breakfast was also good, but since there were many tour groups, we sometimes had to wait for a table in the morning. It's an 8-minute walk from Kanazawa Station...
Lovely place. Value for money. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable. Location is 8 minutes walk from the train station but you’ll have to use the underpass if you’re bringing a large luggage. Plenty of restaurants at the train station and the bus loop also starts there so very convenient. Only bad note of that there is nothing much other than a 7 Eleven in its immediate surroundings
In is very convenient location, close to the Kanazawa station, frienly staff and worth every penny
Great service, big comfy beds and very clean room. Separate bathroom and toilet. The only thing I can pick on is the room design that puts the washing basin outside as it takes away quite some usable space for the luggage when the room itself is quite spacious. We had two 55-65cm suitcases but still struggled slightly to get space for both.
It's genuinely very close to Kinshicho Station. The room was a bit small, but having a 7-Eleven downstairs was convenient for buying things. The hotel has a large public bath, which was nice for a soak. The front desk staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

Breakfast is good and the room is very clean. Also the overall service is good
I stayed here for two nights during the Kanazawa Marathon. Breakfast and hot springs were included. It was close to the station, the room was well-cleaned, and I was able to relax. The hot spring was also spacious enough. I would definitely stay here again.
I think it's a good business hotel in a regional city. It's close to the station, has basic facilities, and the breakfast is satisfactory. There are no particular drawbacks at this price range, so I would definitely stay again.
Great location, helpful staff, satisfying breakfast, and especially the 14th-floor bathhouse, which was a great relief. The room was a bit small, but the beds were a bit smaller than single beds, which made it more comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kanazawa.
I wanted to drink water after taking a bath, but unfortunately there was only an ice maker and no water dispenser.
The batteries in the remote control for the washlet were dead so it couldn't be used.

However, if you're just staying overnight, you'll be very satisfied with the facilities, parking, etc. I think it would be difficult to ask for anything more.
Due to my mistake, I booked a different accommodation than I wanted, but they handled it kindly and I was able to stay there without any problems.
I was confused when I was leaving the parking lot. I didn't realize that I had to pay the same amount as the subsidy, and I ended up causing trouble for the car behind me. I'm sorry.
Parking is available, and the fee is included in the room rate, so it's easy to understand and doesn't require separate payment. We stayed with two adults and two children, so we chose a room with two single beds, but we were able to push the single beds together and sleep comfortably! They also provided amenities for children, such as toothbrushes and baby wipes, which was very helpful.
Buffet breakfast was very nice. Room had previously had someone smoking in the room so the room and bed sheets smelled like smoke.
Stayed overnight for a visit to a nearby facility. Access by car is good. Parking lot is small but adequate.

Supremely clean hotel, friendly staff, excellent breakfast food and excellent location for Castle and garden just a few minute walk from there
Very nice hotel, in terms of comfort, service and location.
Very well located but tired rooms and unappealing breakfast. Bathroom had steep step up and curtains did not darken the room. Staff was very pleasant and hotel was very clean.
Staff went above and beyond to help very nice hotel
You can take a stroll from the hotel to places like Kanazawa Castle. Korinbo was also within walking distance. I didn't go to eat there because I got takeout, but there were curry restaurants and cafes, typical of Kanazawa. There were also many foreign tourists, especially Westerners. The hotel was a twin room, but the bed was large and there were two pillows of different heights. The air conditioner...

The hotel rooms are decent. It’s better if you can get a non smoking room though. Travelled solo and room space was sufficient. The following are the pros of this place: Very close proximity to the station The staff is very considerate and polite You can ask them queries and they will try their best to respond even if it’s in English and you use a translator The place served free coffee from 3pm to...
Breakfast was included and I had whatever I wanted.
Hotel that clearly needs renovation, although let's not forget that it is a 2 star. The rooms are dated, with their 80s-90s decor. However, very good situation, friendly and competent staff, and very good breakfast although not very varied.
Breakfast buffet is good, staff are friendly. But, the room we had is quite old, the toilet bowl is not cleaned properly, and sink has stains on it.
Very professional and warm staff, she actively offer us umbrellas since it was snowing. Room was big and nice, the breakfast is very rich. Btw they serve free cocoa and coffee, very kind!
We stayed here for one night. The location is fantasic as it's about 5 minutes walk from the Kanazawa Station. There are lots of restaurants in the area as well so no need to worry about meals. The hotel also offers a simple complimentary breakfast with a variety of breads, rice, natto, salad, scrambled eggs and sausages. It's an older building and the room was quite small. Very high quality, comfortable, and beautiful hotel at reasonable price. Its location by the castle makes it very convenient for exploring the castle and Kenrokuen on snowy days. Its Kaga Ryori dining is exquisite and value for money! The hotel shop has a very good selection of products at reasonable prices. The onsen has cold and hot bath, as well as a sauna with TV. The hotel is very thoughtful...
A very mixed bag of a hotel. Located in the historic center, all the sights are easily accessible. Clean, friendly staff, but...a strange combination of an old hotel with a 60s-80s style and a modern renovation...vintage chairs and furniture and a modern plastic sink (they could have done everything in the same style). The hot spring is average. It's obvious they tried to renovate the bathrooms,...
The hotel service was excellent, with a shuttle bus from the JR subway station. The hotel's decor was retro-style, and the teaware and tableware were made of local Maruya ware porcelain—very beautiful! The breakfast was also delicious, with everything I liked. The location was very convenient, close to Kenrokuen Garden.
Hakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character.  It’s onsen is natural spring water and though the bath are relatively modest, it never gets crowded.  They provide free bus shuttles to and from the Kanazawa station and is a very helpful feature. Rooms are large and well appointed and everything in the fridge - water, tea, orange juice and...
There's a dedicated shuttle bus, and the service is quite good... It's a bit of a shame we didn't get to soak in the hot springs... It's very close to the attractions, making it convenient to walk there with kids... There's also classical music performance in the evening.
The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom was tiny. The hot spring bath was a definite highlight, and the Japanese breakfast options were good. Plus, the location is very convenient, right next to Kenroku-en Garden.

The hotel was clean and tidy, with excellent service and a rich breakfast. We were lucky enough to enjoy the snow scenery, which was lovely. The location is superb, conveniently close to both shopping malls and the train station. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend staying here.
Comfortable with sufficient space. Highly appreciate POLA amenities including face lotion and cream. Very nice breakfast with great variety (western and Japanese style) including ice-cream and kids corner.
It was a very clean, nice hotel with plenty of amenities and good service. If only the bath was a little bigger, I'd have no complaints. I'd like to go again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many facilities including laundry room, lounge area (with tea and coffee provided), massage chairs and public spa bath; all of which do not require extra charges). The breakfast was delicious and had many food varieties to choose from. Although the location is not close to any public transport, the hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from the Kanazawa...
There are many free shuttle buses to Kanazawa Station, which was very convenient for dinner. The room was clean, there was parking, and it had a very calm atmosphere even though it was in the city.
Before my trip, I tossed and turned between several well-rated hotels. My biggest concern was that they seemed a bit far from Kanazawa Station and were practically on the other side of the main attractions. But ultimately, I settled on Sai no Niwa, thanks to its high ratings on various websites and no negative reviews. Looking back now, from inquiring about the shuttle bus and receiving the hotel's...

Great location, great food, very clean and friendly place to stay and visit the center city Kanazawa
The hotel is quiet and clean with nice Onsen (natural hot spring baths). The location is near the train station but not near enough to hear the trains. The dinner and breakfast were both good. We had to cancel the reservation due to an inconvenience and the owner was very kind and resolute, he helped us with everything. It's a shame because we liked the room and the staff was very kind. Thank you for everything.
Shared bathroom and shower. The room is not too big. The price increases a lot during holidays. The Japanese experience is quite unique. Convenient to eat around. There are many shops. The service is very friendly. There is room service.
The main thing about this place is its rooms, specifically traditionally made Japanese rooms (ryokans) The rooms are nice. They are equipped with what you would expect from a normal hotel. Kimonos are in the room too. I would give "rooms" a 4.5. The service of this place is friendly, speaks decent English and is always happy to help you. Just note that the only staff member here is the owner, but...
A wonderful Ryokan, 5 to 10 minutes from the main road and all the local attractions (Kenroku-en garden, kanazawa castle and ruins, 21st modern art gallery) The host and his family are all great, they don't speak much English but they try their best and I'm sure if you try to speak a little Japanese yourself they'll understand immediately, can't fault them at all, highly recommend staying here and...

Staff were lovely and attentive
Very close to tourist attractions eg garden / castle, I guess 15min walk from train station, Japanese breakfast was really good there, they also provide a traditional Japanese dinner - you need to pre book this in I think 5 days in advance? The hotel is a little sad and loud bi as you would expect for price, staff are friendly and really try and help, the Onsen is not that exciting but again if you...
Extremely kind and attentive staff are what account for a higher rating than I would have otherwise given. However, having stayed the previous two nights in other ryokans, by comparison the room was quite small and though clean, a bit dingy and outdated. The meals were abundant, to say the least, but some of the seafood was of questionable freshness and there was a lot of jellied items or things with...
This ryokan is a great option if you are into vintage Japanese experiences, but also want the comfort of contemporary facilities. Enjoyed the onsen very much, room was very Japanese as I like it. Close to the nice spots of Kanazawa.

Good location near subway, room is tiny but a room with a good layout
It's about a 3-minute walk from the station, and there are no convenience stores nearby, so I recommend buying things inside the station. There is a Family Mart within a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The front desk staff are all very kind, so I'd like to stay here again if I come to Kanazawa.
The room was clean, but the bath was smaller than expected, which was disappointing.
There were only six places to wash in the bath, and the bathtub was small. It was a bit crowded (cry) But it felt good.
The location is great. Other than that, there is nothing excellent about it. Oh, the front desk staff was kind.
It's close to the station and easy to find. It's a convenient and reasonably priced hotel. There are many restaurants around the station, so it's a great location for those who want to eat near the hotel. I was also impressed by the canned food vending machine in front of the main building 😊💓😊😊😊😊🤗

The hotel is quite old, and its hot springs are a major feature; the water quality is excellent and very comfortable. The food is average (both breakfast and dinner are like that), similar to most Japanese hotels, so don't expect much.
The food is exquisite. The best Ryokan breakfast and dinner we've had. The dining setting stunning, which is facing the Noh Theatre! Should time our next visit when there is a performance. Even without a performance this time, tasting the duck broth, while watching the fish grill against a snowing background is still very enjoyable. Feel so grateful throughout the meals. The quality of onsen is excellent...
Great hot spring, great food and awesome service!
The food was incredible and the staff super nice. The hot springs made the trip all worthwhile. The highlight of my vacation.
This place is huge, I felt like if I was in Spirited Away. The hotel and rooms are spacious. The service is very helpful and dedicated. I think the onsen is ferruginous as the water is reddish. I'm not a fan of fish and seaweed but I could tell the food was fresh and good quality. I liked the desserts.
This place was wonderful. It was a very immersion experience with exceptionally diligent staff. We loved our stay. There were significant language barriers, but google translate helped a lot. The meals are VERY traditional, so if you are not prepared to be adventurous (raw whole baby squid, natto, a lot of sashimi, and boba-sized fish eggs) I would recommend not purchasing the meals, as it is rude...
