Hotel Nikko, Kanazawa1 / 24
9.4
Kanazawa, 2 Chome-15-1 Honmachi (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Our four-night stay at Hotel Nikko Kanazawa was excellent. The location is very convenient, just a 6-7 minute walk from Kanazawa JR Station. The hotel itself is grand and exudes an old-money elegance. It's clean, comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was abundant, high-quality, and delicious. The service was also very attentive.
This is a very clean and lovely hotel with an excellent location, right next to the station. It's super convenient for buying souvenirs and food. The stay was also very comfortable. Whenever I travel in Japan, Nikko Hotels are always my first choice because they never disappoint!
Stayed two nights in Kanazawa. It's truly a bustling place. The architecture outside the train station resembles a museum, and the fountain with the changing date display is quite unique. The hotel is about two blocks from the train station, which is pretty close. For sightseeing, I'd recommend taking a taxi as walking can be a bit far, even though the city isn't huge. The hotel itself is quite modern...
This is one of the best hotels in Kanazawa. Although it's been open for over 30 years, it's still very well-maintained. The rooms on the higher floors offer superb views of the entire city, much better than what you'd get at Sanraku or Hyatt. The breakfast quality is also excellent.
One of my favorite hotels during this trip! **Ambiance:** Even though it's an older hotel built in the last century, both the hard furnishings and soft decor are incredibly well-maintained. While the style might be a bit retro, it's tastefully done. The room was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for Japan. **Cleanliness:** Virtually spotless. **Facilities:** Didn't have time to visit...
The room was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast was incredibly rich and substantial, typical of the Nikko style.

Clean and convenient. Exactly what I expected. Perfect for a busy 3 day visit to the city
The rooms are tiny. Breakfast is the same and never changes. We asked for a thick layer of dust to be removed, but no one has done so in four days.
The morning buffet is great. It's a semi-buffet style where you can choose between Japanese or Western main dishes, but you can also have as much bread and rice as you want, so you can pretty much eat both. The free ramen in the evening was also quite tasty. The waiting lobby also has a luxurious feel.
This was my first time traveling to Kanazawa, so I was a little nervous, but this was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were friendly, and the accommodations seemed clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was great, and the large bath was fantastic. Next time I visit Kanazawa, I'll definitely book at the Manten Hotel again.
Convenient transportation, close to the station, abundant breakfast, free ramen every night 🍜, tastes good, and soaking in the hot spring is comfortable.
I always feel safe at Manten. The bath, sauna, convenient transportation, and breakfast with a choice of Japanese or Western are all very satisfying. I will definitely use their services again.

Convenience location, next to train station. Hotel deco is very new. It will be even better for international visitors if tv has more foreign channels
If you want a modern luxury stay with excellent accessibility, this is one of the best hotels in Kanazawa. Highly recommended for couples and travelers exploring the area. ✨
Facilities: A very new hotel. Cleanliness: Very clean and high-end. Environment: The transportation is extremely convenient. It truly lives up to its reputation as the number one hotel in Kanazawa. Service: Excellent. I stayed for two nights and had a fantastic experience. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I get the chance to visit Kanazawa in the future.
The hotel are just next to Kanazawa Station, the room size is big. Bathroom is big. Breakfast having lots of verity and quality is good.
Great service. Great location. Best hotel in Kanazawa
The location is excellent, directly connected to the mall, and Kanazawa Station is literally next door, making it extremely convenient for getting around. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great choice for both comfort and accessibility. Would definitely stay again.

Kanazawa, 2-1-1 Korinbo (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Theres only one chair in the lobby, that nobody can sit on, because it's got a strong parfume dispenser right next to it, that goes off every 15 seconds. The people on reception have bad english. There’s no Laundry room, only expensive Laundry service, that doesn’t work on the weekends. The guests above us must have had kids or something, because they were constantly making loud thumping noises.
Clean and comfortable environment.
Great service and staff. Comfortable room in a great location near the Kanazawa loop. Would stay again and recommend.
Located in the business center, the hotel offers excellent service. The rooms, while not large, are well-laid out and have complete toiletries. It's within walking distance of attractions such as Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle. There are buses to Kanazawa Station on the left side of the street outside the hotel. Overall, it was a great stay.
This hotel is in an excellent location, with friendly, helpful service and generally good quality rooms. One downside to my stay was the bed, which was very uncomfortable. The hotel's proximity to the old districts, museums and gardens is a big plus.
Superb location and hospitality. Spacious, clean, and quiet room. I attended the Kanazawa Marathon on the weekend, the hotel location is right across the street, and the hotel was so caring to open breakfast buffet at 6:30am so runners can have breakfast before race.

Quite a walk from the station but otherwise a proper hotel for the area.
This hotel offers great value for money, even though it was slightly overpriced due to Japan's spring break. The room was quite spacious. I especially loved the hotel's large public bath; it was so relaxing and washed away all the fatigue. The breakfast was also good, but since there were many tour groups, we sometimes had to wait for a table in the morning. It's an 8-minute walk from Kanazawa Station...
Lovely place. Value for money. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable. Location is 8 minutes walk from the train station but you’ll have to use the underpass if you’re bringing a large luggage. Plenty of restaurants at the train station and the bus loop also starts there so very convenient. Only bad note of that there is nothing much other than a 7 Eleven in its immediate surroundings
In is very convenient location, close to the Kanazawa station, frienly staff and worth every penny
Great service, big comfy beds and very clean room. Separate bathroom and toilet. The only thing I can pick on is the room design that puts the washing basin outside as it takes away quite some usable space for the luggage when the room itself is quite spacious. We had two 55-65cm suitcases but still struggled slightly to get space for both.
It's genuinely very close to Kinshicho Station. The room was a bit small, but having a 7-Eleven downstairs was convenient for buying things. The hotel has a large public bath, which was nice for a soak. The front desk staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again next time.

Nice hard bed, friendly staff. Close to castle and garden , but 20 minutes walk from station.
Best was the receptionist! A young and very professional gentleman that helped us with everything along our stay, he normally works in Kyoto but came for a week to the hotel in kanazawa. Hope to see you at the hotel insomnia KYOTO next time we pass through. Highly recommend this hotel! Some weights at the gym would have been the cherry on top of the cake :)
I think the check in process was very easy and their locker was free.
Beautiful brand new hotel located in a nice area in Kanazawa. The public bath is the cherry on top
The Square hotel Kanazawa was our favourite hotel in Japan so far. 15 minutes walk from Kanazawa Starion and in a great location for our short stay in Kanazawa (we now wish we had booked longer). We walked everywhere, including to the old Samurai district. 3 single beds, 2 were on a platform so that added a bit of Japanese authenticity (a bit). Lovely staff, public bath had tatto restrictions but that...
The hotel is clean and tidy, and there's a hot spring bath on the top floor. It's located near Omicho Market. I booked early and got a triple room for less than 300 per night, which was excellent value for money. I was very satisfied with my 4-night stay.

The hotel's location is great, about a five-minute walk to the station. The room size was very satisfactory, and the bathroom had a clear dry/wet separation and was spacious and easy to use.
This hotel is super convenient, just a short walk from the West Exit of Kanazawa Station, right next to the Hyatt. Compared to other Daiwa hotels, the decor here is much more refined, and the room was quite spacious. Really impressed!
Hotel Location: Strategically situated just a short walk from JR Kanazawa station, the hotel is easily accessible via the nearby shopping mall. It’s conveniently located next to Hyatt Centric, and a short stroll takes you to Omicho Market for fresh seafood. Facilities: The hotel boasts a public bath, a welcome addition during the cold winter months. Additional amenities, including coffee drip bags...
Room is spacious and very nicely decorated. There’s tv console with vanity corner, with plenty of table top space which is typically lacking in compact hotel rooms. Bathroom is spacious with separated toilet, bathroom and sink area.
An excellent hotel rather near the Kanazawa Train Station. There are also some good Japanese restaurants opposite the hotel. The room is spacious, contemporary with Japanese flavour. The facilities and amenities are comprehensive like body lotion, shampoo, comb, Onsen towel scrub, and tooth brush. The Onsen is rather small but sufficient as the turnover rate is pretty high since there is not much...
The staff were very friendly, they can speak English, and the location is close to Kanazawa Station. The room was clean, but the carpet tended to collect quite a bit of dust.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and we had a good nights rest. Very good location to the train station and the breakfast was delicious!
The location is absolutely fantastic! It's connected directly to Kanazawa Station by a walkway, so even when it was snowing, I barely needed an umbrella. However, **the photos are completely misleading and deceptive!** They make the room look huge and spacious with a sofa, implying there'd be plenty of space for luggage. But when my friend and I got in, we were practically bumping into each other ...
Hotel is located outside the train station. Has lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Its about half an hours walk to the castle attraction. Hotel rooms are clean and spacous. I had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would stay with again.
Great location, I could even walk to the hotel without an umbrella in heavy snow. Breakfast was just okay.
Very good location, close to Kanazawa Station. Breakfast was great and service was impeccable.
clean hotel with nice service Staying at this hotel was a truly pleasant experience, made memorable by its exceptional cleanliness and warm, attentive service. Mitsui Garden always be my first hotel when I explore the new region in Japan. Location is a bit outside the main central city, in walking distance. The hotel servicer can easily communicate with English, understand customer needs, that's super nice. And Mitsui Garden normally have the top floor hot tube area which is super good for me to relax after full day travel around.
The hotel's overall environment is outstanding. Dining by the window offers spectacular views, which was a real treat. The breakfast spread was extensive with fresh ingredients, leaving me very satisfied. The biggest surprise was the hot spring bath area on the top floor; soaking in the springs while enjoying the view outside the window was an incredible experience. Overall, my stay was fantastic!
This was a lovely hotel. The room was spacious to open 2 luggages and was clean. There was a tub in the toilet which was large. The main selling point of this hotel was the amazing breakfast. The buffet spread was abundant and had many options, and the view of the snow out the window as we ate was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. It is also located well near the bus stop that takes you...
This is my second time staying here. The room is nice, but it's a bit far from the subway. We drove, and parking was very expensive – we had to find our own spot. However, it's just 200 meters from Omicho Market, and within walking distance to Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenroku-en, and Higashi Chaya District. The hotel is clean and has a public bath and laundry room.
This garden hotel offers an excellent experience! The location is superb, very close to major attractions. They even provided a free one-day bus pass, which was fantastic! The rooftop hot springs were so relaxing. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Breakfast was also very extensive.
The hotel is quite a walk from the station, about 20 minutes, or you can take a bus. It's very close to the seafood market. The hotel has a large public bath. For breakfast, the hotel's own breakfast is good, or you can choose to eat at partner restaurants in the seafood market.

It’s a nice hotel in a nice location right by the fish market. Was disappointed that there was no laundry they can provide tho. The breakfast was good and staff lovely
The hospitality was good and the room was clean

The hotel is not big, but it is good enough, right? The breakfast is simple.
An impeccable hotel, excellent in every aspect. However, the hotel name sign was on Kanazawa papyrus, so we braved the heavy snow and wandered at the door for a long time and couldn't find it. We didn't know where the Kanazawa Ethnographic Hotel came from on Ctrip. . .

Overall, we are very happy with this hotel.

Surprised by the great services, facilities and amenities available. Great value on top of good location and size of room for family 👍👍👍
Very good services and location Room is small but okay if you don't have much luggage
Good location, quiet & excellent breakfast.
Excellent customer service, front desk staff were super helpful with luggage forwarding. The central heating was great, never felt cold. It was -3 to 5 degrees outside at night when I was there. Very well located but tired rooms and unappealing breakfast. Bathroom had steep step up and curtains did not darken the room. Staff was very pleasant and hotel was very clean.
Staff went above and beyond to help very nice hotel
You can take a stroll from the hotel to places like Kanazawa Castle. Korinbo was also within walking distance. Very high quality, comfortable, and beautiful hotel at reasonable price. Its location by the castle makes it very convenient for exploring the castle and Kenrokuen on snowy days. Its Kaga Ryori dining is exquisite and value for money! The hotel shop has a very good selection of products at reasonable prices. The onsen has cold and hot bath, as well as a sauna with TV. The hotel is very thoughtful...
A very mixed bag of a hotel. Located in the historic center, all the sights are easily accessible. Clean, friendly staff, but...a strange combination of an old hotel with a 60s-80s style and a modern renovation...vintage chairs and furniture and a modern plastic sink (they could have done everything in the same style). The hot spring is average. It's obvious they tried to renovate the bathrooms,...
The hotel service was excellent, with a shuttle bus from the JR subway station. The hotel's decor was retro-style, and the teaware and tableware were made of local Maruya ware porcelain—very beautiful! The breakfast was also delicious, with everything I liked. The location was very convenient, close to Kenrokuen Garden.
Hakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character.  It’s onsen is natural spring water and though the bath are relatively modest, it never gets crowded.  They provide free bus shuttles to and from the Kanazawa station and is a very helpful feature. Rooms are large and well appointed and everything in the fridge - water, tea, orange juice and...
There's a dedicated shuttle bus, and the service is quite good... It's a bit of a shame we didn't get to soak in the hot springs... It's very close to the attractions, making it convenient to walk there with kids... There's also classical music performance in the evening.
The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom was tiny. The hot spring bath was a definite highlight, and the Japanese breakfast options were good. Plus, the location is very convenient, right next to Kenroku-en Garden.

We had an amazing time at this Ryokan - traditional Japanses hotel. We had a junior suite, so spacious, itcwas so relaxing. Buffet breakfast, good selection was included. Traditional stay in beautiful room & hotel. As non Japanese speakers the staff tried really hard with Google translate to communicate with us which was appreciated. The location is about a 10-minute taxi ride from the station, but it's close to nearby tourist attractions. The front desk staff are all friendly. The matcha set sold at the first-floor cafe is also very satisfying.
Love the modern decor and style
I was concerned that the air conditioning in the hotel lobby and hallways was too strong. I would be happy if there were a wider variety of amenities. The hotel itself was very clean and convenient, with convenience stores and markets within walking distance. This is a hotel I would definitely stay at again if I come to Kanazawa.
We have a 2-year-old child, so the Japanese-style room was comfortable. The hotel's welcome service and breakfast were really great. The menu was different on the second day, and the quiche was delicious. I would like to stay at this hotel again next time I visit Kanazawa in a different season.

Great place to stay. The rooms, dinner and service were excellent
Great Ryokan. We didn't have dinner but the breakfast was a fantastic Japanese style breakfast. Rooms are stylish blend of traditional and contemporary Japanese. The staff are extremely helpful and speak English. It's a little out of the way but that makes it very quiet. Backs onto a bamboo forest and has a nice garden.
