the old man was very lovely, eager to help, and is quick to chat

the futon were nice and fluffy, the place was very tidy and clean, and everything was just v comfy

the road up is rather steep and narrow but not extremely challenging to drive up if it's clear — any snow at all, and you'll need good winter tires and all-wheel drive

The owner is very kind. It's quite tiring to walk from the station. You'll sweat a lot even after soaking in the hot spring, so you'll need to change clothes. They provide a shuttle service, so please ask them. Since it's located in a forest-like area, ants and spiders tend to get into the room. It's a bit disappointing that you can't easily go to the hot spring town.

An outstanding experience with this gentleman full of kindness and goodwill. We spent three nights in this magical and beautiful place, surrounded by nature and deer that visited morning and evening. An unforgettable moment!

Went last summer. The place is situated inside a scenic forest and the rooms were very clean. The road leading up to the hotel is quite narrow and steep. The owner was very kind. Definitely want to stay there again.

To find a Ryokan in a city is always a nice experience. But this is very special, in the middle of the forest, it is amazing.
The service is more than excellent, Nishida-san is gentle, kind, guide my to a wonderful onsen that I could never find, also brought me and my family with his own car.
From all me visit to Bessho-onsen, this is the most memorable.
