Super Hotel Arai Niigata in Myoko

Excellent non-smoking room with no lingering odor, in a great location.

Great for self-drivers, it's like a service area. Convenient for both Myoko Ski Resort and Joetsu city center. It's clean, and the beds are comfortable. After skiing, you can use the large public bath. There's a convenience store downstairs and multiple restaurants.

The hotel is located right next to the Michi-no-Eki Station interchange. Nearby are Yoshinoya beef donburi, a few simple restaurants, and a Lawson convenience store. A simple buffet breakfast is provided, and there's also a public bath. The rooms are spacious, but the bathrooms are small. The windows are grimy and appear to have never been cleaned. It takes about half an hour to an hour to reach the nearby Myoko Plateau scenic spot.

Located in a service area, this is a very Japanese-style express hotel. It's clean and tidy, with great service. The breakfast is delicious and adequate. There's free coffee and wine in the afternoon and evening. There are washing machines. There are several restaurants nearby, and a Lawson is across the street, which is very convenient. Many Japanese office workers stop here on business trips.

Good onsen, great service, happy. 

This hotel is located on the grounds of Roadside Station Arai on National Route 18. There is a convenience store across from the hotel, and a restaurant, seafood direct sales store, and souvenir shop are a short walk away. Breakfast is included, so you can eat dinner at the restaurant or take out sushi or seafood bowls from the direct sales store and eat them in your room. The rooms are bunk bed style, with a queen-size bed and a single bed on top. Up to three people can stay. There is a hot spring on the first floor of the hotel. Since it is a gender-separate system, you may not be able to take a bath at the time you want. Parking is free and it is located along the main road, so it may be a good place to stop off on a road trip to the Shinetsu area.

I love staying at this particular super hotel as the staffs are friendly and helpful.The breakfast are delicious too especially the rice which are locally grown.😋

I was able to spend 3 nights comfortably. The breakfast was healthy and the salad was especially delicious and I was satisfied. I was impressed that the side dish menu was different for 3 days at this price. I will definitely use it the next time I go to the vicinity of Myoko. thank you for helping me.

As with any super hotel, the level of customer service of the staff is higher than others.
Check-in / out and breakfast are the only points of contact, but you can have a very pleasant customer service.
It's very convenient because it's right next to the interchange and it's inside the roadside station, so there are parking lots, restaurants, and convenience stores.
The hall and facilities were clean and I felt very comfortable.
I don't have a heater, so I'm grateful for the blanket.
If you dare to say it, you need to be careful about the time zone because the large communal bath is a men's and women's exchange system.
There is also an indoor bath, so I think there is no problem for those who do not use the large communal bath.

The building itself is old because it has been built for many years, but there is no problem because it has a clean feeling.

Although it has 9 floors, it is crowded during breakfast time because there is only one elevator.

Men and women are exchanged in the large communal bath, but men can enter from Monday to Thursday all night. Although it is a natural hot spring, it was a little disappointing that the water flow for circulation was not strong and relaxed.

I stayed in the connecting room, but since it is connected to the next room with a single door, I can hear the sound of cutting my nails and the sound of the TV, so I was very careful during my stay.

However, the greatest utility value here is that it is adjacent to high-speed parking. Cars can be left in the PA and only people can stay at the hotel.

And it is also on the premises of the roadside station.

There are several restaurants at the roadside station, and even Lawson, so you don't have to worry about food. Personally, I like Kitoki and sushi, or Misa Shokudo.
