If you're passing through Okayama by train, this hotel is a solid pick—convenience meets affordability. Located a short walk from Okayama Station, it's perfect for quick access to downtown shopping and right next to a sprawling Aeon Mall.

The amenities are practical, with a handy laundry service on the second floor and a relaxing public bath. Rooms have showers, but fair warning: they’re a tight squeeze right next to the toilet—cozy, won't be the right word. My room was spotless and organized, but my colleague’s room had a little…character. Namely, wallpaper curling away in the corners, adding an unexpected touch of "rustic chic."

Check-in was fast and hassle-free, but there was one odd hiccup.
