Each room has a hot spring bath. There are two private baths, and I chose the rock style one. The spring water is basically the same as the room, but the environment is large enough! The room was normal, just enjoying the quiet feeling by the lake.

The waiter was very friendly. The dinner was French cuisine, which was delicious. It was right by the lake and the view was amazing. The hotel has only 8 rooms. The private bath is facing the lake. No Chinese people come here, so it is quiet and beautiful.

I stayed here with my son and his wife for a celebration. This is a rare inn located right next to Lake Shikotsu. The service is excellent! The room is very comfortable and we enjoyed the room onsen bath and massage chair in our room. The food is fabulous too, I really enjoy the French dinner and the Japanese breakfast. It was a quiet and wonderful experience in Lake Villa Suimeikaku and we'll come back again.

The hotel English name is not available in Google Map search, only Japanese name, causing us a little difficult to navigate from New Chitose airport to the hotel. Free on site parking for hotel guest is available. Breakfast is cozy Japanese meals in buffet style, delicious.

Location is good restaurants nearby amenities are good. Bed was good but the pillows in Japan always seem to be filled with some type of beans, but it was OK.

The hotel has a great location and offers free parking/coffee and drinks. The hotel staff were very friendly. The only downside was that the rooms were a little small, but I would still highly recommend staying here.

It's far from the station, so it's inconvenient for lodging while traveling. However, there are many bars around, so it's a convenient place to go out for drinks.

Out of the three onsen hotels I stayed at in Lake Shikotsu, Suizantei, which is popular online and hard to book, was actually quite average with no scenic views from its onsen. Then there was the extremely overpriced Aigashiro, which was even worse – no service, no ambiance. Marukoma was my last stay and also the cheapest. The view is really beautiful, like a painting, the onsen is very good, interestingly there is a certain time given for photos and videos, there are special hours when the onsen is closed.

Excellent ryokan, great facilities, very clean, staff are amazing. Free parking helped. The breakfast spread was the best I had at any Japanese ryokans.

I highly recommend driving there if you have a rental car! They even gave us soba and sake, so even though we didn't do the kaiseki dinner, we were full and well-rested. The open-air bath was absolutely wonderful; I want to go back again!!

Is a good place near station Chitose. Not very expensive.

Stayed for a night. Clean and spacious with bathroom. The heat was quite hot though, and there wasn't any way to control the temperature. Staff were very pleasant and spoke a little English. Fridge and microwave included in our room. We needed parking but there wasn't any available; however there was a public parking lot nearby that was quite cheap. Free Japanese breakfast was filling and delicious

4 out of 5 Beds are comfy, breakfast simple but packed, toilets average, and staff average japanese. It's a good stay for a few days. 5 stars for the stay. But the damn location. Too far away from the station. It's not real far but not close enough for me. -1 for that.

It is in a good location to go by car. The building is not new but it is clean. The staff is kind. Breakfast is pretty good. Parking lot is not big, but there is no need to worry because there is coin parking around.

Basic hotel and really love this place for its privacy. As usual, the staffs were at their best. Just that not really easy to find food nearby. Especially for dinner.

I went Lake Shikotsuko for the ice festival. I initially searched for hotels with hot spring but found that the prices were too expensive during the ice festival, obviously, it's the peak season. I finally dropped the idea of enjoying hot spring and booked this guesthouse. The price was reasonable. It's tidy and clean. Heater was provided so that I didn't feel cold when sleeping. Ok budget stay. Nothing special for a good price. We weren't explained some standard things on arrival. But asking staff was easy and they helped us out.
